Hi Si. I just bought chameleon after buying progressions (to fill a few holes left in my 4pockets collection), so I found your video on a quick search for chameleon. Thanks for the walkthrough. There are other ways as your commenters suggest but I love Paul’s apps and like to support him (don’t ask about the other masses of apps I’ve bought). I must get down to making more videos as it was nearly 6 months between my last two!! Cheers for now. Lee
I’ve made several patches this way through the years. Also used auto sample to sample my accordion. I also find this procedure is great if like me you have lots of mono hardware, for making polyphonic patches. Still in process of re arranging my studio, o accommodate new equipment. If you haven’t got sampletron yet, it’s half price. I bought it a couple of days ago and I’m loving it.
Dam I tried doing this mapping process in Garageband wit a bass from the ultimate 808 sound pack. I pretty much did everything, minus the AUM process I guess it would only works on AUM, or if I had my keyboard connected
Hi, I suspect it's a Garageband thing I'm afraid. For reasons known only to apple they restrict how midi information travels through garageband and I'm aware a number of the midi control programs available on iOS don't work properly inside Garageband.
I haven't used SampleWiz so am not able to compare. I know @jadestarr did a review of it so that should give you an idea about what it does similar or different to Chameleon. The one aspect of Chameleon I really like is the auto sampling function which is really useful
Thanks, it's actually a green screen issue from the camera on me. I've altered the set up now so ought not to be a problem in the future. Thanks for watching
Badass. Been trying to remember that one app specifically made to do this, but already own Cham so HERE WE GO
Good luck!
Is the midi keyboard necessary ,since you're not actually pressing anything ? Chameleon just does it's thing, no? @@SiEffen
Hi Si and thanks very much for creating this helpful video.
Glad it was helpful!

Thanks Stephen. I'll be rolling out my synths tomorrow night for a live show on the No Emis channel if you're interested. 9pm
Great Help Si 😎Thanks
No problem 👍
Thanks Si, didn’t know about the auto sample feature, must grab Chameleon.
it's a really useful tool if you need a lot of notes sampled!
This is great! Thanks for the info. One velocity per key you say, no round robin, but does this program atleast have a velocity option built in ?
The notes are velocity sensitive in that if you press the note with more force you'll get a louder sound if that's what you mean?

Thanks Si.... BTW...SM 1 & 2 no longer open in iOS AUM for me...but SM Player does....but I found SM 1&2 WILL open in ApeMatrix....weird eh...
I've read on the forums that some people are experiencing such problems, it's very odd. Thanks for watching and I hope you're doing well.
What’s better, Chameleon or SamplerWiz by BLEASS. I’m trying to pick

Sunlight is glaring on your ipad during the hardware portion of this video, just to let you know.
