Interesting list of places you are covering this week, Marc. You always do a great job of researching the area and making an interesting presentation. Gord
That looked like such a cool place to stop and visit when we drove through it. We put it on our bucket list to see on one of our future trips. To think, if we hadn’t got so lost at Lahontan Reservoir, we could have watched the premiere of this video with you folks! 🙄🙄 You all were super nice!!!! Ram and Kuuipo 👍🏼👍🏽
Marc, you always do such a great job at narration! You must do a ton of research to be so informative about each of your stops. I really enjoy your video's!! And the drone footage is always topnotch!!! Keep up the GREAT WORK!!! 😃💯
Great video as always! Camping with wild burros . I don't remember you being at our company retreat. You must have left before I arrived. Stay safe and thanks again for sharing your awesome videos!
We boondocked out north of Goldfield almost a year ago. Just now seeing your video on the area. I posted a video to my RUclips channel of the area where we were. If you are ever through the area again, my brother is the brewmaster in Tonopah. Love your descriptive videos!
Missed your weekly premier (again…ugh), but watched your replay. Like your other videos, a very comprehensively informative and entertaining report of the area. Your boondocking spot looked like one that we could get our pusher into as well. We are anxious to get out and field test our newly installed solar system. Thanks for your reports and inspiration.
Glad you enjoyed it Gerald, thank you! You'd have no issues getting your pusher in there, the road in is less than 2 miles and well graded, with plenty of room to turn around.
CHEERS Marc life got in the way of watching live. Have been thru Goldfield several times but have never explored but looks very interesting now to just make some time.
Hah!! Must have crossed paths. Last week I was heading from Tahoe to Hurricane Utah and spent the night in the lot next to the Little A'Le'Inn in Rachel, Nv.
I used to visit Goldfield from time to time with a friend, and we rode dirt bikes and found an abandoned mine that nobody knew about. Several antique trinkets were found. He had friends of the family there that were visited as well. It's kind of a depressing town that will never improve or change much.
Such an interesting part of the desert. It truly is remote. I love the detail you showed of the Goldfield area. I would love to go to the gem area, that would be cool! I made it home today. Everything went well. See you at next week's premier!
Very interesting. With what's coming, I think you will see that Goldfield Hotel be completely refurbished to better than new condition. Both as a hotel and as a tourist attraction. Your going to see a tremendous amount of renovation of historic sites. Nevada is a treasure trove of history. The place looks a little rough right now. I liked the area where you camped out among the Joshua trees. What were the high temps and elevation there? Gord
Nevada sure is a treasure trove of history, but I'm not certain I agree with you on the Goldfield Hotel. They've made several efforts to revive the place over the past 40 years, none of which has succeeded. Elevation was around 4,200. High temps were in the 70s to upper 80s, depending on the day, but overnight lows were quite cool and comfortable.
@@GrandAdventure Thanks Marc. I wasn't sure of your elevation. You seemed comfortable enough which made me suspect you were higher up. Under the current financially depressed circumstances, nothing will happen. But if that dynamic changes, then anything is possible. Why do I think that? The banking trustees of the trust I am involved with are expecting huge positive liquidity changes coming very soon. I don't take lightly what they say. They also indicated that there would be a huge amount of historical renovation development in the future. Historical sites that are falling apart will be saved. This will no doubt be something that you can capitalize on in future Grand Adventures. Gord
As you were walking around town I saw a few artsy type cars. I was like heeeeey.... that has slab city written all over it and then you got to the car forest and it all kind of made sense, I think. The folk just have not yet made it to slab city at time and had creative differences. Well look at it this way... they may be long gone but it gives tourists something to look at while in town so its all good.
Great video. I have driven through several times. Rarely see any people. Anyone mention the Hotel is reported to be one of the most haunted places in the country?
Thank you Paul! Honestly, I don't know anymore. Usually I go back and look to our production files to answer questions like this, but this video was backed up to a hard drive that failed after I dropped it. ☺️
The latest news is no news, other than an email in April stating that they were behind schedule and hadn't started assembly yet. 🙄 That's why we're sticking for now within striking distance of SLC.
Do you have to have permission to go onto any of the properties in this video? We are traveling through here in a few weeks and would love to walk around.
Cynthia, the only one we went into is the Goldfield Hotel, and yes, you need to be on a guided tour. Information is available via a phone number posted to the hotel's front door. As I recall it was $20 per person. Enjoy!
I was just down in mesquite this past weekend and also another question where is a good place to go camping out in the boonies in nevada near mesquite which means mountains or out where it's warm and can fit big fifth wheel trailers and can also ride dirtbikes and atvs and side by sides at
That bus buried in the background reminds me of that song that CCR played back in 1969... "It came out of the sky"🤣
Gord
Great place with lots of history
It sure is Barratt, thanks so much for watching!
OMG, Sue would love that Gem field.
Put it on your list.
be nice to your horse.
thanks Marc, that was fun.
Glad you enjoyed it, Joe. Thanks so much for always!
Art Cars, how awesome!
It's a funky little place.
You should have checked out the court house in Goldfield. A lot of history in the court house. It’s a beautiful building and interesting .
Thanks for the tip Brenda, that leaves something on the table for when we undoubtedly will return some day.
Interesting list of places you are covering this week, Marc. You always do a great job of researching the area and making an interesting presentation.

Thank you as always Gord!
Nice Buckee's hat. Those places are amazing.
They sure are, Tom. We get more comments on that hat than you can imagine.
Seems l8ke 5he folks in Silver Peak want you to slow down and see the town! Great episode!
LOL, true that Ed. Thanks so much!
Love this part of nevada
We sure enjoyed it too, Malinda. Thanks for watching!
Around carson city is nice as well
@@malindawray8769 we're not far from there now, yet to determine our next destination.
Another great video Marc and it looks like a must stop with all those cars. We enjoyed the wild burrows. Take care and as always be safe.
Thank you Pete! You folks do the same.
Wonderful video Marc! Thanks and have a wonderful week.
Thank you Joyce, you too!
Run across some strange folks in the desert. Like your video.
Thank you George!

We loved getting to know both of you and your granddaughter as well.
😅 love it!!!
It was great meeting the both of you last night, with wonderful conversation late into the evening. Safe travels until we cross paths again.

Mark, as usual your video work is among the best. Thanks for the share! > Merton
Thank you so very much!
Nice area. Pretty cool campsite and I love those old towns. 👍🏼
We do too, TSM. Thanks for watching, and for joining us at the Premiere!
We just did extraterrestrial Hwy also... from Vegas to Reno! What an experience...
Whole lotta nothin', huh?
How fun was that Mark!!! Awesome history! What a beautiful place!
Thank you so much Greg, glad you enjoyed it.

I love the desert southwest so much. So many amazing stories. So much history. So beautiful.
We totally agree Mike! Thanks so much for watching.
Nice video Marc, very well done.
Jo-Ann and I used to travel with a full spare 6 gallon gas-can in the bed of the truck. It came in handy.
Thanks JT! Yep, we carry two fivers back there for emergencies.

That hotel! Truly grand! Excellent video, as always. Hope to follow your tracks to this place soon!
Thank you so much! You'll love it there, it's so remote yet there's so much to see.
Great boondocking spot. Love the history of the towns. Thanks again Don.

In many ways I think that's true, Gerry. 40 years trying to reopen the Goldfield Hotel bears that out.
Excellent as always, great videography, great music, great narrative as always!! Good job!
Thank you as always Tim!
Awesome video, Marc!! Looks like a grand place to add to the list!! Though, I may not get that far west until I "retire"
And the list keeps growing, Alan. Thanks so much as always! Great to see you at last night's Premiere.

Pretty much on target, MTL. Goldfield is a tiny, unique, quirky little place.
I bought a lot in town for 300$ years ago but I had no idea about all that stuff around there so i let it go to back taxes. Damn!
That's such a shame! Although I'm pretty sure you can still find a bargain there now.
Great video. I have driven through several times. Rarely see any people. Anyone mention the Hotel is reported to be one of the most haunted places in the country?
Thank you! Yep, there are some true believers who we toured the hotel with.
Interesting history in Goldfield....The car art doesnt do much for me lol though...
Me either to be honest, but it sure makes fun filming though.
Do you get a clear view of the stars there? Would love to see it at midnight.
Excellent dark-sky stargazing, Robert. There's nothing to cause light pollution for hours in any direction.
Great video. Who are the music artists?

Corby, take a look at "Little Finland". We've not yet been ourselves, but it's on our list and the scenery looks positively spectacular.
Marc, you out do yourself brother.
Thank you as always John!
How were you able to get in to the hotel?
They offer tours for $20 per person. Mrs GA wanted to go, so we reserved a tour. I was a little underwhelmed myself, but she enjoyed it.
How old are you? You could not possibly speak that fast and flawless at your age!
😄
The more you watch Marc's videos, the lower the tolerance you have for most other amateur youtube rv channels. It's all your fault Marc! 😀
LOL, thanks so much CO!
I love your content but the music is so loud that takes way the beauty of your video.
Noted, appreciate your feedback. Thank you.
