PoliSci applicant here. I feel so out of my depth applying to Yale, lmao. I wouldn't be bothering if it wasn't for the application fee waiver. Thank you for sharing your experience with us!
@NA I'm sure she wants to know whether people can hear/understand what she's saying in her channel. That was a recommendation no need for you to be rude
I have a question So I transferred from my community college with a low GPA of 2.7 I have a cumulative GPA at my current undergrad university of 3.9 (expected to reach a 4.0 by the time I graduate) So my overall Gpa is 3.2 currently (but expected to hit 3.6 by the time I graduate) I was not motivated at my community college but I have gotten all A's at my current institution. It's my dream to go to Columbia law school or any Ivy League, so do you think they will look at my overall GPA or the Cumulative GPA I have from my current school? Or do you think if they look at both, they'll look at the fact that I really increased my performance when I transferred to a university? I worked insanely hard to get to where I am with my academics but I am really worried that the grad schools I am applying to won't notice my performance boost at my current institution.
I cant speak from Columbia or any university but I do think they do a holistic review and they look at everything in your application and seeing that you actually perform better at a University speaks volume besides an overall GPA of 3.6 its amazing. As I said I got into Yale with a 3.94 gpa from community college and 3.4 gpa from my university where i finish my BS. They will look at your GRE scores, experience, what classes you took, most importantly your essay and your recommendation letters! If you are worried about your GPA try to make the other part of your application stronger. Good luck ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for the tips! Question: I am studying accents and dialects, and I would love to know what region your accent is from? I want to be able to put a name to each dialect, instead of just lumping them all into one category (i.e. "Spanish accent"). Thank you!
Hey there! As colleges are test optional this year should I send my 1350 SAT score to the top ones and explain y I couldn't do better if I have genuine personal and circumstantial reasons? Or is it better to not send them? (I'm an international student)?
I'm not sure how the application process is for the art school because I applied to the chemical engineering department but best of luck on your application
I love this! I’m very similar and got into a PhD program at Columbia. Love to see minorities excelling!!

Academics is not enough
@@fernsulantay thank you so much!! You’re awesome 👏 one more question: Do you prefer the LSAT or GRE
Sorry for the late response but if you said your overall GPA is 3.2, how did you have enough time to get up to a 3.6?
Congratulations!! Great video!!

Nice! Does this also pertain to someone who wants to apply to Yale graduate art school??

Can you please share the name of the book you talk about at 11:37? The one about not going into too much detail?

Anybody here from empowered engineers?
Do you have an email to contact you to help me? I want some information about admission to graduate studies because I want to get a master's degree.
Dont do masters just do phd. You have to pay for a masters. You don’t pay for a phd.
Is there a scholarship for master's degree in Sociology?
I dont know anything about sociology but you should reach out to schools and ask them, I'm sure they have something
