What a wealth of knowledge he has!!..... first time I heard him was with Jean Luc Ponty, Which must have been back in the late 80s?. He was insane, very theatrical on stage!. Years later I met him briefly when doing cartage for a Lee Retinaur gig. He was a nice guy. I also didn't know he had all that Latin independence stuff in his feet. I haven't seen or heard him play in ages, and now I also discover he's a singer and composer. Very prolific artist.
Hey Garey, thanks for all the amazing videos, as always. Your articulation and education on the craft of drumming is engaging and refreshing to listen to and enjoy. If I can offer a suggestion for a future reaction, I would love to get your thoughts on Adam Deitch: ruclips.net/video/yO_YRwCBu_w/видео.html Best Wishes!
Hi Garey. Love your vids, but the drum solo's are hard to hear because we hear what your mic pics up from your speaker. It would be a lot better if you would use the original sound from the song directly.
Best reaction, analysis & concise layman explanations bar none! Thanks Professor.
Yes! Sonny is one of my favorites.
Gorgeous drummer, gorgeous analysis!
Watching your reaction to this video is how I feel inside watching any drum video.
Fantastic involving the way you do this Garey!!! :) Thanks!

For me that is not a issue. I value his analysis and reaction primarily. You can always go to the original vid to watch the solo
@@HerbalistGuybrush Well if it's hard to hear, it's hard to know what he is analyzing in the first place!

We need fresh adjectives. Until then, freaky good will have to suffice.
