Good review again and a more nimble Superblast sounds good to me as that's one thing you could never accuse the SB2 of being... I'm still struggling to hit a real sweet spot on mine after 150km.
I've done a few runs in the EVO sl so far. Main competition is the Boston 12 as same price, just slightly different rides. This lightstrike pro foam will get better and softer the more km you put into it in my experience so probably become one of my favorite shoes. Agree tongue is an issue, and probably will try to adjust the lacing a bit to try to hold the tongue in place better.
Good review. I have this shoe and it is fun and versatile. To me it feels firmer than the Rebel v4, softer than the Adios Pro 3, and a dream compared to the Boston 12. I’m now wondering if I really need the Zoom Fly 6.
I managed to take a full minute of my parkrun pb in the evo sl, which I really didn’t expect. I did feel the grip was a little uncertain on wet asphalt. They’re lively for someone with my 88kg weight.
A nimbler Superblast... that description i didn't hear - yet. Damn, after the major SL2 disappointment and the superficial hype around the SL2, Adidas marketing fails etc the shoe was gone off my radar. Black listed so to speak. After all the recent reviews... damn, i may still have a look in march
@@philipppuchner1115 EVO sl is better than the Sl2, especially the fit. Sl2 was too small even when I went up 1/2 size. Keep your eye on the website as they are sporadically popping up and if the black one comes up you can use promo codes, but they can't be used on white for some reason 🤔
@@run-arenever wore an Adidas running shoe before, but at home i have a Adios 8 and a Supernova Rise, each in 2 sizes to try on. Adios 8 is way too hard and the upper stiff, so one size fills the toe box but presses my big toe into hallux valgus position - no thanks but this would probably be a sprint workout shoe. The larger size would be more suitable for "normal" running but the toe box is a bit empty and the upper doesn't hug arount the foot or the lacing is capable af getting rid of some volume. And still, flat and hard like a brick, like you are running on the ground. Totally useless, maybe a track workout/sprint shoe? Supernova Rise: narrow and strange fitting, would need the larger size (1/2 size up), but also there the fit is strange and the feeling is... better get the Saucony Axon 3. The foam reminds you of Saucony, but the shoes from Saucony are way better. So, better get the Saucony Ride as a daily trainer instead of the Supernova Rise (1). I've ordered Adios Pro 3 and the new Adios 9, both in 2 sizes for the fit and feel. Let's see. If also both of ghem are a letdown, I am probably done with Adidas and the only shoe i will try in the Future is the Evo SL. The SL2 is also not a running shoe but an ill fitting sneaker. Toe box too low and the insole has an edge on the medial side, which cuts into your foot. I have no idea how a mess like this passes Quality Control or even gets into prototype production 🤷
Tbh I've been a bit dissapointed with the hype of this one, I have 300km on mine and massive wear on my conti outsole...midsole is amazing thou but to me a speed shoe the rocker is aggressive and hurts my toes cause of the spring off...at slower speeds can feel a bit firm and boring but lights up at faster paces...I will now trash them and probably only get 500km out of mine...that said gr8 walking shoe also...and even if I mash the outsole the lightstrike will still be intact I imagine 😂
@@LucaSelicorni Hmmmm that's a tough one, pretty closely matched in all round. I think the Evo SL will be more durable overall and maybe better at the faster longer stuff. Noosa is softer... How will you use either?

Sounds like a good shoe to get hold for next summer.
Im pleased it doesn't sound to soft because there's plenty of soft shoes on the market.

@@colintempest4448 Zoomfly 6 is so much softer than this one, heaps more bounce as well.
Thanks for the review 🙏🏾😊. I’ve got the zoomfly 6 and Neo vista, should I consider this in my rotation or the novablast 5? So many options now 🤯
Probably NB5 since you have speed and long runs covered.

I think we have similar tastes so I'm wondering if you should choose EVO SL or the Mizuno Neo Zen... what's your opinion ?
@@Aron-t6m I love the Zen just for the fun factor and bounce. Evo SL is nice but not as exciting, Id love it more if it was a touch softer.
