Why are they always showing Nominal GDP per Capita, when we clearly know GDP comparisons using PPP are arguably more useful than those using nominal GDP when assessing the domestic market of a state because PPP takes into account the relative cost of local goods, services and inflation rates of the country, rather than using international market exchange rates, which may distort the real situation.
GDP per capita PPP 2022 (source - wikipedia):
    Lithuania - $46,479 > Estonia - $44,778

I wonder why people get so excited about this completely irrelevant indicator, probably because they don't understand its practical application. It is an indicator that is designed to show the dynamics in a specific economy over time, not comparisons to other countries. It is enough to ask a rhetorical question to understand that getting excited about a GDP indicator as nominal as PPP is **** play. The question is how much of GDP is generated by external entities, that is, how much of GDP is transferred outside the country in the form of profits and dividends? I hope that in future Latvia could catch up with Lithuania and Estonia. Latvias main problem why its struggling behind is that we dont have good example (country friend), for Estonia its Finland and for Lithuania its Poland. Russia is not that guy with who it would be great to be friends with. 🤦‍♂️😂 No matter what Estonia should continue its IT development, Lithuania food production and petrol refinery, Latvia should focus on what is ahead of its neighbours- its aviation. We are already making military training aircraft. There is also 99% that soon Latvia will produce passenger planes. In the end we should rememmber that our 3 countrys are still friends. 🇪🇪🇱🇻🇱🇹❤

Those suicide statistics are manipulative and bullshit. Just because Lithuania has a high percentage rate doesn't mean anything. The United States has had 40,000 suicides in 2016, which is 40x bigger conpared to Lithuania. The only reason Lithuania has a higher suicide rate than countries like the United States or any other Western European country is because Lithuania has a way smaller population compared to those other countries.

the military intel is way off, estland gave away 40 units of towed artillery 122mm to Ukraine simply bc they where "not needed" if we only had 66 there is no way in hell we would have give away over half of them . And allso according to the public records of the state, Estland has allready aided Ukraine military with 35% of its military budget worth of stuff, again no way we would just give stuff away if we are our self running very low on it while living right next to soviet-rusland.

There actually is a way. I think you should view it as “not needed as much as they are in Ukraine”. If Estonia got attacked then nato can step in to protect us, couple that with the fact that Russia is currently losing a major war then we are not at a threat of being attacked. Another main point is that if Russia were to attack Estonia then according to their doctrine they would just nuke us. 40 towed arty would do us a lot of good then c:

Btw, Estonia was a favorite child of USSR and they started in the much better position than Lithuania/Poland/Latvia. And it's clearly visible in GDP. How do you even arrive at this sum?
      Official Lithuanian state data:
Lietuvos Baltijos jūros pakrantės ilgis - 90,66 km
This is calculated by taking the edge of land, starting from the southern end of the Lithuanian part of the Curonian spit, to the northern border with Latvia. The only way you could've arrived at a sum close to 262 is by (for some reason) taking the entire coast line and then not only adding the eastern shoreline of the Curonian lagoon(which doesn't make any sense because the Curonian lagoon is an internal body of water, separated from the Baltic sea by the Curonian spit), and then on top of that also adding the part of the Curonian lagoon that is inside Kaliningrad.
I guess that's one creative attempt to nearly triple the size of a coast line on paper, but... no. Tiesiog ne, bičiuli xD
