Hello everyone! :D More Xenoblade!
I feel like it's been way too long since I covered something from the original Xenoblade Chronicles... I've been really hyped for the Definitive Edition of the game ever since it was announced and caught myself listening to this song a lot so I decided to cover it!
As much as I love Xenoblade Chronicles 2 a bit more, there's a special place in my heart for the first game and I can't wait to replay it all remade! I only got to play it with the Wiimote and Nunchuck as I don't have the classic controller and it made controlling the camera a real pain... :')
Anyways this is to me such an intense theme from the first game and I really wanted to make a new version of it!

I got to experience the game for the first time with NO spoilers on the switch. I am on what I think is the final chapter (chapter 17). This has been a journey and a half, what an amazing game!
I played definitive edition on switch after completing xc2.
If anyone wants to get into xenoblade, start with 1 please.

This is incredible! So glad I found a Xenoblade series fan who does a lot of Xenoblade covers! The three big ones that get covered - bionis leg, you will know our names, and mechanical rhythm - are excellent, but theyre a tiny sample of the top tier Xenoblade soundtracks. Xenoblade 1 and 2s soundtracks are criminally underrated.
This song is one of my favourites, and you did a perfect rendition of it! Seriously, this is so good that it could be an official version of the song!

Great work as always! Also my condolences on not having a classic controller, the game is a pain to play without it lol
I played nearly 300 hours and never used a classic controller, and I don’t think it’s a pain (maybe because I’m used to this xD). Anyway, I totally understand that a classic controller is better for the camera, even if I wouldn’t change.
And also, this cover was, like all the others, really pleasant to listen to.

After playing through it I can safely say this song deserves to be known for Gael'gar. It's so fitting for his character. I may have suspected him from the INSTANT I saw him just because its often when the character has their eyes closed and a forced smile they tend to be secretly plotting something, but the way this song plays with how desperate Gael'Gar is to prevent the Full-blooded High Entia from returning, to even being outcast by the new Empress who refuses her title when addressed as such by him, he LITERALLY had nowhere left to go. Thinking there's nowhere left to go, he took perhaps a more dramatic end then even Egil fusing with the mechonis.
He was too obvious as a side-antagonist though and nobody should've fallen for him when they saw the closed eyes and forced smile. Thats just anime commonplace to say "this character is secretly a psycho." Definitely more fitting for him and Egil then Bananza & Bananza 2: Pollen Orb Boogaloo.

Licensing gets really expensive, that’s why it’s not as simple as uploading them to iTunes... :/ But I have plans for licensing more music next year!
Ahh I get ya. Mate as a lifelong pianist and music enthusiast who stopped 18 years ago to go to real life, you are absolutely smashing it. Who would of thought Xenoblade had so many amazing tunes to build on. Probably the best soundtrack for a video game ever, and it has super Mario odyssey to compete with!

I’d love to at some point! Licensing is not easy and it gets expensive that’s the main reason for now..!
