This version of Engage the Enemy is magnificent. It portrays the emotions of the song so well that I honestly think is just as good as the original. Wonderful!

Ugh. This track and "Hopes and Dreams" from Undertale share something special. They both perfectly embody all emotion at once. Love, hope, loss, grief, rage, joy, peace, and d e t e r m i n a t i o n.

Gabocarina96, now that you have experienced XC1, is XC2 still a better game. For me XC2 is the better game but XC1, despite boring me after sword valley, is still really good.
I think XC2 does a lot of the actual gameplay stuff better, but XC1 had the better story. The ideas behind XC1s world are also way cooler to me, but individual areas in XC2 just have so much more detail and are just so much more fun to roam around and explore. XC1 had a lot of flatness to it's world, likely how they achieved such impressive draw distance on the hardware. What I will say for certain is that for a completionist, XC2 is way better, although XC1 is still fun to complete some of the sidequests just have a completely unnecessary amount of grinding and backtracking, aside from Ursula's quest XC2 doesn't really have too much annoying grinding or sidequesting. Certainly nothing on the level of how much you had to walk to that nopon camp in Gaur Plains or around Alcamoth.
@@Entiss OMG you are so correct. XC1 is so empty until Mechonis Field with nothing but enemies to fight, while in XC2 you have treasures to find and areas accessed by blades to explore. Plus, the side quests are just much more fun in XC2 with more story into them.
I still love 2 a lot more than one! For the deeper story and better character development and music!! Still really love 1 don't get me wrong but 2 made me care much more for its characters! ^^

That being said I think that XC1 has a more engaging story (Rex is quite dumb compared to Shulk). Still, XC2 is the better game for it's more interesting combat and world exploration, and XC2 has one of my favorite soundtracks in any video game, although I will say that Zanza's battle theme is better than "After Hope and Despair" and "Engage The Enemy" is better than "Counterattack", but everything else is wonderful.
Funny, cause Sword Valley is where I really started to love the game, aside from the overpriced and kinda outdated equipment (Thanks, Dickson!). Don't get me wrong, I was enjoying the game before Sword Valley with stuff like Valak Mountain, Alcamoth, Prison Island, High Entia Tomb, etc, but I guess I was kinda creeped out by some of the enemy designs in some of the the Bionis areas, like those dragon things in Eryth Sea (name's escaping me), or the dozens of Level 80 something Gogols in Satorl Marsh.
Absolutely incredible, one of the best (if not, best) covers I've heard for this song! Could I use this cover (and possibly other covers of yours) as background music for some of my videos in the future? I'll be sure to give credit and link back to you! :)
