This was my first luxury time-piece, largely due to your videos. I have the one without numerals and just love it.
I like that one too but which one is the seconds marker? The central one or one of the smaller two?
I, too, have the black face 27/4601.02. I love it. I'm also considering a Form C, numberless anthracite face.
Awesome review, I’m going to purchase via your site soon. I am just split between this and their 2020 release chronograph. I love the black on that one but the versatility in strap options with this one seems like it can’t be beat.
Been wearing my 34mm Max Bill everyday for almost 8 months and still not a single mark or scratch on the plexiglass.

I personally tend to dislike chronographs, heresy, I know; because I dislike subdials and prefer to have a running, central seconds hand. I actually like this one because as you've stated, it doesn't actually look as busy.

This is definitely a grail watch. I’m torn between the meister telemeter, the meister pilot and then this one.

Wish they gave it 100M and Saphire like the Pilot. Increase the price if needed to match the pilot. It would be the absolute best chrono under 5k bar none.
Haven't had any scratch problems with the plexiglass, however the caseback tends to scratch very easily, which is basically my only gripe with this otherwise wonderful piece.
I fell in love with the appearance of this watch, but I was hoping it was a bit more special wrt it’s components. Is it possible to upgrade the components like to sapphire or anything ? If I could have that watch face and housing with some fancier internals I’d be in love. Also is it quartz? Im a bit confused after a quick search suggests it’s quartz but some pages say otherwise
@@Fee.1 I believe there is a version with sapphire crystal for a a couple hundred more, it's a mechanical Valjoux 7750 movement
I’ve cracked the glass on mine and had to have it replaced and then scratched the new one! However the most beautiful watch I’ve ever seen.
How much did it cost to replace the glass?

Their website says: "GLASS
convex hard plexiglass with coating for enhanced scratch resistance, optional retrofitting with sapphire crystal". How exactly would you retrofit sapphire to it? Who'd do it? What's the process?

I am not sure if there is one brand. I really hope to have an offering reflective of every brand I cover but that comes with time. From an affordable end, Seiko. Luxury there are many but OMEGA seems like a good fit. Thanks for watching, Henry.

2 days of ownership here. I purchased this based on your reviews previously. I bought grey market and it took a long time to come as in 2 months. During this time I flipped and flopped on if this was the right decision. It’s here now and I’m happy. You made a decision to go authorized dealer I’m curious to why. Would make an interesting video for me at least :)
Great watch and looks good, but I should want the sappire glass.
Seriously. That’s probably the biggest reason I haven’t bought one yet. That and I’ve never been one to buy a watch without seeing how it looks on my wrist first.
I wish I could get an opinion on plexiglass vs Sapphire on the Max bill line, if you go with the low dome that the sapphire gives you, will you be sacrificing the looks of the watch compared to the high dome of the plexiglass. Photos just don't help when deciding between the two, would love a personal opinion from someone who has seen both.
crystal is plexiglass is a deal breaker for me. If it were sapphire, I would buy one - I love the design.

Tips on where you found it for such a steal?
@@HiddenLotus111 I got it on a website called Carousell, where users put up secondhand items up for sale. It typically requires the seller and buyer to meet-up in person (hence the opportunity to inspect the product). It's similar to craigslist I suppose.

Stunning piece but a viewer says it looked like a golf ball on top of his wrist! He has 6.25” wrist will my 6.75” wrist have that same effect? He says his measurements on dome was 14.4 while you say your measurement is 13.9. Something is off…help please?
I love the design! I want one sooo bad but... "Made in 30 Germany" is a stupid mistake on a otherwise perfect design that will bother me to no end. Also the profile of the hands is horrendously finished. You filmed it so only the nice polished upper part of the hands shows but there are some instances when you can see the sides and those disappoint badly. Simply terrible!
Are there any affordable alternatives to Junghans minimalist styled watches? I'm looking to purchase my first watch and can't justify spending that much on a Junghans Max Bill just yet.

hey Teddy ! im back! this is a greatttttttttt review! really like this watch and I want to buy this ... but now I have a budget of 1600$ and so thought of the more renowned brand with a sportier look.... never had a dive watch so I thought of the Longines Hydroconquest and also the Tissot sea star chronograph quartz ... have any suggestions? and how's my pick? will be getting it as soon as im done with my medical entrance exams! :) thanks teddy for this great channel to adore!

I am currently caught between this watch and the Tissot Heritage 1948 chrono automatic (both are available at comparable prices). How would you rate the two and if you were in my shoes - which one would you pick?
I'm not a specialist, but in my opinion this Tissot watch looks like every other watch on the market. Personally, I am extremely in love with the Junghans watch. What I also like about this watch is that it is timeless and an extreme eye catcher. Not to big and not to small. This watch is very masculine but has also something feminine, delicate that for me makes absolutelly the deal. I dont know how you can compare this Junghans watch to that Tissot! For me its like you would compare the new Mercedes S-class to an KIA. If you know what I mean. Your post is 11 months old I hope you chose the right one buddy! 😉

Is it okay to run the seconds hand continuously as I use it as a visual guide to check the watch is wound up

But forgive my ignorance but I see the chrono seconds hand but how does this piece tell the "true seconds"? Or how would you hack it and sync it to let’s say my phone? I saw this watch and instantly fell in love, then I heard Plexiglass and thought never mind. How can anyone make a 2K watch and cover it with Plexiglass.
Not spending $2k on a watch if it has plexi glass.
Hello, is this watch also offered with sapphire glass or was the a change to this model? I am looking at the German website and it lists the watch having sapphire glass.
That's why I like the nomos equivalent better. I didn't know why it looked more elegant but now I realize it is because the nomos has a longer lug presence they put equal focus on lugs as anything else on the case. It looks elegant and mature and sleek. Some other watchmaker designers tend to not focus on the lug or it is more of an afterthought. Like it is something to hide or shorten or get rid of entirely. Never agreed w the crowd that is anti lug length.
It seems this version is no longer in the collection, is that right? I can only find versions without numerals, or with numerals but not with a white dial. Others have day and date instead of date only. Will you be selling this exact version again?

Love the watch, but Junghan customer service is the absolute worst. It takes 2-3 weeks per email response! It is taking months just to replace the side pin which fell out. Buyer beware.
There a other version without the numbers. Which one is true to the original?
Max Bill did not design any chronograph. This watch is only based on his designs.

This specific link is the one with a brown strap, will this one include the numerals on the dial? I noticed the black strap one does not have numerals (can it?)
Swapping the straps are very easy. I would recommend getting a black strap and swapping it in. I have tools on my site to make the change.

It is hackable. The running seconds is featured when the chronograph is running only.

Otherwise, it is not a running second, but a chromo second?
And every chronograph is hackable - otherwise you couldn't measure time :D
