Aerosmith on a small stage, playing a Strat, Les Paul, and a Firebird, all while performing one of their best post-70’s songs. Why have I never seen this video
Wow! What a blast to be there so close and with the whole crowd singing "some kinnda voodoo!!!!". Pump is a kicking ass album. Blessed are the ones who had the chance to be at this show.
Thank you for sharing! I was just viewing a Robert Johnson doc on Netflix and it reminded me of this song. These boys took the blues to another level. Love it!
The night before donington. It was kind of tradition by this point that one of the bigger bands on the line-up for the donington monsters of rock show would appear at either the marquee in london, or rock city in nottingham, the night before the gig, usually going under an alternate band name. The following year motley crue played, again at the marquee if memory serves, under the name "the four skins". And I think that this year, the 1990 line-up, poison were playing, obviously lower down in the show than aerosmith (who were either headlining, or next one down), and the same night aerosmith were playing the marquee, poison were playing rock city in nottingham. Son of a fucking bitch, I missed all of these great shows. But I did manage to get a guest backstage pass for the donington show in 1991, and met Jeff Cease from the black crowes, some guy from some flash-in-the-pan glam band, and briefly but hilariously met Lars Ulrich (and told him to get the fuck out of my face). Great fucking show, awesome festival, absolutely terrible that they cancelled it in the mid-90's. Nothing has come close to replacing it in the UK since.
I went to this gig in London, and of course it was completely sold out as soon as it was announced. The Marquee only had a capacity of about 2,000 people so I had to buy from a girl tout on the street outside, the ticket cost me £50 cash but it was worth every penny.£50 in 1990 is the equivalent to £113 now which actually seems like a bargain now in 2023
Unreal performance of one of their best tracks ever. Pump was on par with Rocks and this proves it.
Exactly. Pump is to me what Rocks was for Aerosmith in the 70s and Nine lives in the 90s.

I love to see them on a smaller stage. Usually they are so spread out. It's almost like they are an actual band and not just Tyler/Perry and the LI3.
I always have wanted to see a world renowned rock band in a small club
Brad Whitford man. Aerosmiths secret weapon. Dude shreds. Everyone thinks perry plays all the leads. Not always. Love it. Thanks for this video.

Steven kills it live every single time
Spotlight on Mr Withford! Amazing performance!

Mr whitford doesn’t get near enough credit in this band. Tom Hamilton either!
