Absolutely love this, I’ve been to Kathmandu twice and it’s my dream to visit there again. We traveled there on our honeymoon with my husband and unfortunately ended up experiencing the 2015 earthquake there. Luckily we survived but I have both amazing and tragic memories from Nepal. It made me so happy to see this video and hopefully I get the courage and time to travel there again, I really love Kathmandu and it’s people :) greetings from Kerala, India! ✨🤗💕🌸
Hi Guys... ! Great seeing you both again. Sally, I really do love the rainbow jacket :) Will be eagerly following along the rest of your adventures. Peace!
Awesome vlog guys and loved the editing on this. Kathmandu and Nepal is definitely on our travel list, had spoken to a few people who mentioned Kathmandu is pretty polluted though. Wera has really bad allergies so was wondering how you guys found it compared to other places in Asia?
Rudy Visuals Kathmandu is indeed polluted ... I am born and bred there hence I tend to go out of valley whenever I am in Nepal ... but there are places where it’s quiet serene around kathmandu.. you will enjoy it 😊🙏
Nice video. Kathmandu Valley has a lot to offer. There are many places not in the Lonely Planet or anywhere most tourists can find. It's a very safe place for people to go to, as well. Hope you come back soon. I could show you some places not usually with a big mention in the guide sites like these.
You are so right about the monkeys. Every day about 3 tourists get bit by a monkey, statistically speaking. Thanks for sharing your time in Kathmandu with us. I've lived here for almost 10 years and it found it to be the best place for me to spend my golden years. I fell in love with it and love to help people get the most out of Nepal. So, I appreciate your video and your enthusiasm. I saved this video to our Playlist, "Nepal Tips and Tricks from Other Channels.'
Amazing! You're going to love it. EBC is great. I (Ed) did it a few years ago with my brothers. It was easily one of the best experiences of my life. You should definitely try and get to Chitwan as well. It's a completely different taste of Nepal
Sally And Ed We are considering Chitwan and/or Phokara. In reading about Chitwan though I’m learning that many places allow elephant riding, and for ethical reasons I can’t book a stay with a hotel/resort that allows that. What was your experience with this?
Sadly there is still a lot of elephant riding in the area. I think some of the big hotels / resorts still do it, but not all. The first time I was in Chitwan (2016) I didn't see any elephant riding, but this year we saw a few people in the streets on elephants. If you go to Chitwan you will see people on elephants in the town but not in the national park. There are still some wild ones. Pokhara is really cool. It's more a city that you go an do things. Like one day go paragliding, the next day take a boat on the lake and hike to the Stupa, the day after get up to see the sunrise then go trekking. The city itself doesn't have a great deal to see and do, its more about the adventure to be had nearby
That's called a potato chop, a Newar dish. You'll see these very local places with a big pot of oil cooking. You can get samosa, pokoda, momo and this kind of food really cheap. One thing I suggest is that you check to make sure the oil is still good. Old oil is not good for your health.
Awesome guys! I have to say this is really exciting. I'm going to ask because I am sure no one will. Do the monkeys throw their pooh at you? That would tick it off my list, for sure. Those two cycle motorcycles are incredibly noisy. Thanks for sharing.
The monkey 😍, love the cinematic broll guys 🙏👍, great tips! Bus 20 rupee is def great
Thanks guys! The buses in Kathmandu are soooo fun!

Its definitely polluted, there's no denying that. I didn't find it to be any worse than south east asia though.

Visit Chandragiri hills..
We wish could! We've already left. Next time we're in Nepal
bauddha is a nepali local newari stupa not Tibeatean. Just that after china invaded tibet, the tibetean refugee settled around bauddha.
Ohhh sorry! We didn't realise!! Thanks for the clarification
Indeed the locals are Tamang and Newars around Boudha but Tibetan and Sherpas are in majority here
Guys, I am surprised that you did not go to Bhaktapur, another ancient city within Kathmandu valley. If you did visit please upload the video.
