This should be the version he recorded for Chandos. It's a great version, one of the best I've ever heard. It's a shame that such a good pianist doesn't have the attention and, let's say it, the glory he deserves. :-(
First, the sound is good enough. What is amazing is the quality of the articulation - each melisma is so clear and the harmony and counterpoint unfolds in such a clear and inviting way -- you are pulled into the piece in the same kind of way that Horowitz would you pull you in but the emphasis is purely Berman's - what a beautiful interpretation of such a powerful piece.

This is good
The sound here is awful, absolutely does him no justice what so ever
Prokofiev's music reminds me to a circus sometimes.
