This is great !! I can't even tell you how much I appreciate this , how much you have changed things for me . I can now be even more confident in my bids . Its very hard here in Mississippi for people to take me seriously, it's a new business and also because I am a woman . They really do look at me like I don't have a clue or that I can't do this work . Thank you again for this video you truly are a blessing to me and my company !
Amazing template! What does "Factor" mean on the Production Rates page? Also are the baseboard, crown and chair rail rates in linear feet? Not square feet right? Thanks.
Thank you for your kind words. Thank you. The % Factor is to easily increase or decrease the production rates by say 25%, 50%, or whatever works best for you at the time. Yes, the trim is linear feet. 👍
Material markup? I have never done that. I charge materials seperate from labor and give customer all the receipts when job is done. How do you explain material markup to the customer?
I recommend NOT marking up your material. By letting them know you don’t make up the material helps you to keep control of the material and helps you to have a better chance of winning the bid.
So do you take that 151 total hours and divide that by the number of people in the crew that will be working on the job? Also, what should a single single, sole-proprietor painter charge per hour who doesn't have any additional burdens or overhead?
HI @JimenEazy. Yes, you woudl devid the 151 by the number of people in the crew. Watch this video to see how much you should charge ruclips.net/video/V49n2j1cWxQ/видео.html
`Great excel spreadsheet. Some minor issues with it though that aren't the biggest deal. The COGS % is always green & Gross profit % is always red, color changing function doest work. Also on the proposal there is two #ref that are not functioning across from the customers name and address. Also some tweaks i think would be great would be to separate the primer from paint as a separate column (many paints have primer built in like BM). A tax calculation to add the proposal and bill would be great additions too.

Great video Coach! 😊
Were can i dowload that spreadsheet you use that looks awesome
How can I get in touch with you about possibly putting together some production rates for painting? I'm located in Texas.
What if you are calculating a wall, and not a room? How do I enter that?
Thank you very much, it is simple after watching your video
You’re most welcome 😊
My pleasure 😊

You’ve lost Homer at the top. You do everything by Hour , and square footage. Why not charge square footage.
I'm sorry I don't understand. How do you mean "you've lost Homer at the top"?
