Who might win a top to bottom of mammoth chinese dh style SBX race? Hard to go past Eliot Grondin right now, but if you want a freestyle flavour because you're a freestyle show, then Trevor Jacob? Why don't they make SBX courses with Slopestyle jump takeoffs? They tried, the problem is speed, specifically because racers are trying to go as fast as possible, and slope jumps have an upper speed limit (you guys even touched on it when talking about why big air jumps aren't 120ft.). At 2018 Olympics SBX the biggest jump was 105 ft lip to knuckle and in the semi's and finals the men were going 130+, and still most of the women weren't making the landing. It's a safety issue, freestylers never try to go as fast as possible at a jump, SBXers have to, the shape of the lip needs to accept that. SBX courses aren't 'boring' at 50mph, but they would be pretty easy/boring on a banged up frerestyle board. If you're talking about adding fireworks to 'hype the event' at freestyle events, then doesn't that indicate the event might not be that interesting? I agree with Sage, the slope course designers should consider making each course a bit different not only in terms of features, but also layout and sequence. And the riders should not know what the course will look like until the night before practice/training. That would test their ability to read and react to the terrain, and quickly adapt to put together their best run in each environment. I would love to hear more from people like Bud Keene, he piloted the sport from the background, and helped a ton of riders develop their skills to be able to express themselves on a snowboard. That's the soul of the sport, not the uber judgemental opinions you guys offer from time to time. You guys, for better or worse, are popular, and influential, your opinions do effect the way young riders see the sport, and when you dis on, or exclude facets of the sport you are perpetuating a shit attitude amongst young riders. Spread the love, it's all about self expression on a snowboard.
you laugh, but most guys i played with do "de-tune" their skates... after a fresh sharpen, they are usually a little TOO SHARP... sit down on the bench and start scraping it on the plastic 🤣
Yoooo underaged Canadian snowboard movies. Craig dropped the ball. DOPE 1,2 and 3. Common Craig eyes on the puck! As far as jibs go and cultural impact. For my age group, unmatched. Everything proper and more than half of everything switch and on big burly spots. The DOPE movies are legit and shaped Canadian culture. Specifically in whistler.

Snowboard RUclips is sick to help us weekend warriors get to know the the overall lifestyle and humor between the riders! Craigs Meadows to Mt bachelor was dope, Marks and sages BTS raw videos are always cool, Casey Willax back in the day always had me hyped cause it felt like we were in the RV with the guys! Either way, snowboard RUclips is always needed on breaks and lunch to get through the work weeks!
