always happy when i see you upload a new video. this series is great and entertaining, and paired with the bad batch it makes for a great pre weekend. thank you for all the hard work you put into your videos
Ur videos make this daunting task really bearable that i MIGHT even consider doing it as well! I... WE ALL appreciate what ur sharing here. Keep it going! We'll be there til the end, bro! 👍👍👍
Hey I was wondering if you could do a sort of “buyer’s guide” for this. Not for prebuilt lightsabers, but for things like where to order parts, how to understand which specific parts make sense for a specific hilt, etc.
I would totally be down for a star wars cooking series trying to make star wars foods that would be dope but lightsabers looking good I could never do something like that
Your soldering has made a slight improvement, you tinned the wires in the second half in the video which is a step forward. Still, you are stripping your wires too long, and creating short circuits between the power leads for the LEDs and the copper heatsink. This will damage some combination of the LED, the chassis, the battery, or the soundboard. You need to create a non-conductive barrier between the bare copper and the power leads with electrical tape or something like that.
That isn’t going to work. You are putting a resistor on the negative of a neopixel. The resistor goes on the data line. 330 or 470 ohm . And you don’t need a heatsink for a single neopixel. You are making it way harder in yourself
All correct. Neopixels don’t need heat sinks ever. They will also not illuminate at all without a data line, as Rich said, to tell the pixels what to do. As he also stated, that is where the resistor goes. Pro tip: test as you go. That way you don’t get really far and it’s not working. Next time try a bench test of all the electronics outside the saber and are working good. Much easier to spot an issue
@@adamgoad4131 I feel bad for the kid. He is trying, but he is spending too much time on things that will absolutely disappoint him. I don't know where he is getting advice from, but I want him to be successful. There is nothing better than building your saber, pulling the kill key, and hearing that glorious boot sound for the first time.
It sounds like you guys know a lot about making lightsabers. I really want to make one but I don’t know where to start or how to do it. Could you point me in the right direction?
@@calebmiller8556 Yes been in the hobby 6 or 7 years now. Fantastic community. Head over to The Rebel Armory and say hello. There’s plenty to read there, and plenty of other places to go from there.
Loving this series you are doing but man I wish the videos were longer!
Fr tho
They are...but on patreon
Around 20min or longer
I have seen them months ago tbh

You have grown strong and wise, SkyGuytheJedi, and I am very proud of you. 😋

bit late to this video but im glad to see you changed that thermal resitot to a conductive tape :) loving it so far
I’ve been waiting for this Lightsaber build video since the last one. Definitely didn’t disappoint.
Me too
Hey I love your content keep up the good work and may the force be with you

Not to mention he is creating short circuits between the leads for the LEDs and the copper "heatsink".

Can you do a vid about celebration and where and what you do there?
I already did! ruclips.net/video/fcoss3XuvWM/видео.html
Ye, loved that vid. But I meant the next one. Like r u doing another cosplay? Can we maybe get an opportunity to meet you?
If u do end up reading this. That mystery-box video was the coolest thing ever!
I have a question that your most likely not going to see but, what would you say your opinion on kyberlight is?
I’ve never purchased anything from them personally, but I’ve only heard good things about them!
Discord server?
