Strafing run is one of the best, if not the best, eagle stratagem. Skipping over its versatility and effectiveness entirely first thing in the video is a massive red flag for anyone thinking about taking this advice
Strafing runs can clear pretty thick columns of enemies easily, as well as clear a variety of structures on both factions such as bot fabs and shrieker nests. They can kill hulks and titans too. It also has the fastest call in time of any eagle, no mention of that in the video. Strafing>clusters for anyone who actually plays at higher levels. Clusters can clear chaff, sure, but higher difficulties are going to have more armored enemies that won't die as easily and clusters can't destroy structures and objectives like strafing.
Video is riddled with misinformation and bad advice, just be aware anyone coming here to actually try and learn about the game. This creator clearly doesn't play above diff 6 and isn't very familiar with the game
Alright so I will respond to your comments in one post as opposed to seperately. First off when I make a guide it is my opinion and my opinion will be subjective on how I play the game which means I my favour certain playstyles while you favour different playstyles. Secondly my opinion will be based on where I am in the game and in Helldivers 2 the game changes as you level up dramatically and you unlock stratagems and some strategems become better on certain diffculties than others such as for example the guard dog which I never took before difficulty 6 as I didn't need it until I started dealing with stalkers and suddenly it became more usefull. So first of we will talk about your crticism of my opinion on the eagle strafing run. I wasn't aware that it could be used to take down bot factories so that may very well change my opinion on the stratagem so i will do some testing against the automatons to see if that's the case and if it is my opinion will probably change on that so thank you for bringing that to my attention. Now I didn't say that eagle airstrike can't kill hulks or at least I don't believe I said that and If I did I am wrong but when I said it can't kill titans I am right because I have taken the eagle airstrike a lot and I have numerous experiences of drop eagle air strike on titan and it wounding then but not killing them so in order to use it to kill them your placement and timing needs to be immaculate which in the middle of combat can be difficult to achieve. To be fair I have killed a titan with a eagle airstrike and an impaler at the same time but that was luck as the placement was just perfect. So as a result I think it's better to use it as aoe that has extra punchyness rather than a titan stopper as there are better stratagems for that such as the commando, orbital railgun strike or eagle 500kg bomb. You may disagree with me on that but that is my opinion after using the eagle airstrike a lot. Lastly your comment on the fact that i am only playing at level 6 difficulty I don't believe is warranted because I don't think that you have to be playing at the highest diffculty in order to make guides because once you reach that difficulty you have lost perspective on what it was like to be playing on the early difficulty levels and having less stratagems unlocked etc. All in all your crticism about eagle strafing runs I'll take on the chin but yeah your criticm about on playing on level 6 leaves much to be desired. What I'm critiquing is that you fail to present an accurate understanding of the pros and cons of each stratagem and their use cases on each faction. You title these videos "Ultimate guide" but then entirely omit any in-depth information. There's nothing wrong with saying "I don't like eagle strafing runs" if you're able to also explain the facts of how they work and what they can do so that people who are trying to learn can form their own opinions.
