I adopted a Poodle Maltese over the weekend! His owner had passed away and he was an older dog. My vet wrote me and asked if I would consider adopting! I am 76 and wanted an older dog. His name is Tobey…he is so attached to me….if I leave the house he cries. I promised him he has a forever home!
Congratulations to both you and Tobey!
@@betsyj59 Thanks!
Thank you for taking in a senior rescue!
@@MG-pj2oo I am loving it!❤️
💗
Such a beautiful Retriever he is. He is going to love having all that land and the pack to run with 💙🐕
Animal Attraction.! Lee,s got it in spades. Every animal is instantly attracted to him. Never seen anything quite like it.! No matter the animal,s story, they are putty in Lee,s hands. Incredible. Got to be something to do with Lee,s vibration.🐶❤️
@@lottielane2486 your use of apostrophes are throwing me off. It’s animal’s or just animals and Lee’s. Not animal,s or Lee,s. 🤷🏻♀️
@@katz734 Sorry. My tablet won't do those sort of apostrophes. !
@@lottielane2486 ok that’s odd. It should. All key boards on tablets should have all the different apostrophes. Mine is next to this symbol ! Just on the right side of it.

Story of my life, really!🙄🤨
Dave is a sweet, handsome boi. Happy he has a new home :)

I almost clicked off the video once Lee made friends with him at the truck... Because I know the pack and Lee and the beautiful terrain will make the dog totally successful. He has a formula that works. He really should be generating revenue doing dog socialisation training camps for a couple hundred dollars a day per dog. One dog daily would finance the whole place.
Oh if you need a home for him I live in Bend. We just lost our 15 yr. Old Golden Retriever, our Roxi girl.
Hope you get him.
So sweet!!! I miss my black lab, Sunny. 😥
Contact Lee!
@@laurat1129 I live in Texas.
@@laurat1129 do you know how I can get in contact with Lee?
Beautiful Golden. I have to mention that I have a crush on Tommy Boy. He is such a colorful character. Taking the boat out all by himself (more than once) and in every video he is carrying some sort of toy with him on the pack walk. In this video, I could hear Tommy Boy snarfing as he trotted along because his mouth was firmly full of toy and his smoosh face it blocked his breath a little bit. He is so adorable to me.
My first dog was adopted from an LA shelter/rescue when he was ~2 y.o. Pete was an adjustment, but he was very eager to please me. He taught me what I needed to know.💕🐕🦺🌈
I've personally 'owned' or lived with 5 large dogs, including 3 Goldens. And, each one has taught me more than I taught them. I loved them all.
So glad you could pick doggie up... He's a lucky dog. I know he will be safe with you, and either live with you or you will find him a nice home.
Aye! Shout out to his previous owners. They didn't just let him roam free around the neighborhood to get in trouble or hurt. I bet it was a hard decision for them, but they decided on what was best for the doggo. I admire that. ❤️
I had for 1 year my golden in an apartment and we were walking him 3-4 times/day. It is not necessary to have a yard. (We did move to a house, with a small garden, and we do leave him home for 7-8 hours, he is not outside).
Thanks for educating people on Christmas "presents", young dog energy & owner responsibility!!!! You're so right. So many end up in shelters, or worse, just let loose. 🙄😡 (LOL! Tommy & his ball. )
And there's little Tommy with their big red 🤣 I love that little guy
My husband and I drove a 17 hour turn and burn trip from Fairbanks to Anchorage Alaska. All to rescue my cat Thomas O'Malley. People laugh that I did that for a cat, but he's more than that to me. He's been given a second chance. I'm in love! I wish more people would rescue.
God Bless. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
People laugh at me because I won’t return home to Australia from the UK as I don’t want my cat to endure the stress of flying and will not consider re homing him. When he passes I will go home and rescue more animals there but until then he’s my responsibility and I adore him and intend to spoil him for the rest of his long kitty life!
Breeders should be under extremely tight scrutiny and most should be illegal!!! This fur baby is such a beautiful dog, and he has a lovely demeanor.❤️🙏
Tommy and that Red Ball 😊❤
Tommy just makes me smile.
I absolutely LOVE your pack walks!!!! Watching all these beautiful babies walk & play together is incredible! I especially like it when some if them carry their toys around! It’s just the cutest thing! ALL YOUR ANIMALS ARE AMAZING!!! You are absolutely wonderful with ALL of them!!! GOD BLESS EACH & EVERY ONE OF YOU!!! 🥰💕🙏😊

He's got such a good temperament and he's beautiful!!!!
You are so right! All 3 of my dogs were rescued at 6 months old. I call them “puppy fails”. They were no longer baby-cute & had become so energetic! I love them dearly!! 🥰🥰
Lee, I've said this before and I want to say it again, I know you hear it daily; however, you genuinely are an Angel on earth for every life you touch.
Do you think you could see if he vibes with the name Oliver, he looks like an Oliver, Olie for short...one of the greatest pups I had as a kid was named Oliver/Olie and he was the sweetest Aussie shepherd imaginable.
This little dude also has that "love me I'm adorable" face too...I say that about every animal...I LOVE THEM ALL!
You are a stellar human being and a wonderful good hearted man Lee.
I wish for you much Happiness and many Blessings in your life!
🤙😊
It's so cute how Tommy always has his red ball on the walks!
Yes! Now I look for him specifically each vid lol
He’s adorable! I zero on him every time.❤

I love seeing Ms Lily....✨️💖🐕💖✨️
My heart breaks for the dogs whose owners don't have the knowledge of how to train their dog. It's not really that difficult but it does take time, patience and love.❤❤❤❤ Thank you, The Asher House for all you do🌈🌈 Also...LOVE seeing Tommy with his ball😍😍😍
Hope there's a follow-up with Dave. Absolutely beautiful dog! Thank you Lee for rescuing him & for emphasizing training for pups & young adult dogs. If people would do "the work" pet parents & pets would have happier lives together.
What a beautiful dog he is!! ❤❤❤❤
Is there any reason why you would not try to find him a good home, rather than keep him?
So gorgeous & the freedom running with the pack. Just beautiful.
What a gorgeous boy! Glad you and the pack are looking after him.
He kept running away because he'd seen one of your youtube videos and was determined to get to Asher House.
Gemma, you've solved the mystery! :))
Dave is darling and thank you so much for sharing the information about necessary training at about the two-year mark… Also, Teddy certainly does love to carry around his toys. 🙄😬 he is precious too!

My boy Tommy lifting jolly balls while walking. He’s a freaking legend
he´s just a baby! it´s so clear in his movements and energy. baby Duke seemed really interested. hopefully they´ll become a fun duo. also, gotta love Tommy with his toys. bless you all!
It would probably be a good idea if shelters could require classes before people adopt. That wouldn't solve all of the issues with people not being able to appropriately care for their animal, but it might help some of them not get adopted to the wrong family. People just do not educate themselves to what it is going to require. They want a cute puppy and don't even think about the rest of it. I hope one day the law changes for those that neglect and abuse animals. Thank you so much for what you do, Ihave said it so many times. I love all of the videos.
Betting the dog was bought, not adopted from a shelter. If he had been adopted, he'd have been neutered.
I love that idea.
@@Kalyahna Neutering before physical maturity - i.e. before the age of 2 in a larger dog like Dave - can have catastrophic long term health implications, especially in terms of bone health and cancers. It's why dogs' age at death keeps getting younger and vet visits (and bills) are going crazy. USA is a long way behind northern Europe in the understanding of this.
Anyone reading this with their own as-yet unneutered male pup ... PLEASE do some research! They NEED those protective hormones while their body is still forming. A good start is taking a look at Dr Karen Becker's videos on the truth about spaying and neutering here on RUclips, or seek out articles on the Bowman Report. You could save yourself so much heartache, regret and expense in the future.
I understand that in a huge rescue group it makes things 'easier' in terms of managing young males' behavioural issues (and also the unneutered dogs' reactions to them), let alone the need to separate young as-yet unspayed females from the rest of the pack ... but most people wouldn't have these obstacles Neutering should never be a substitute for proper training of a dog - if you're a responsible pet parent who trains and supervises yours dog, allowing your male or female to fully develop before neutering is very achievable.
BTW, females, for the good of their health, should be spayed either 3 months after their 1st or - better - 2nd or even 3rd season. My own rescue dog, who I adopted at 5.5 months, was still way too nervous of life in general by the time her first season arrived. My vet agreed that spaying her at that point would risk setting her personality in stone. I’m forever grateful that we decided to wait until after the 2nd season, because she blossomed and gained confidence SO much during that time; she was a different dog.
My heart always sinks when Lee speaks so casually about getting a young male 'fixed' ... because the sad fact is he's going to 'break' him a few years down the road.
@@sairhug Really? The Mercola quack who's anti-vaccine and believes in homeopathy? Find a real vet who believes in actual science, man.
@@Kalyahna She's IS a qualified vet - one that has done a ton of good work for animals. And your qualifications?

What a sweet baby boy he is!
Oh Lee, he fell in love with you immediately. What a sweet dog. I could see he was happy to be going with you. He’s beautiful, and such a popular guy, right away. A perfect fit in the pack.
Dave is gorgeous! Hi Dave. Oh, yeah, Hi Lee! Gotta have my priorities straight. Thanks so much for picking him up, Clint! xo
Tommy cracks me up!!!he loves loves that red ball!!!😂😂😂😘😘!!
He looks very much like my dog Shasta from about 25 years ago. He was a good dog. Very much into retrieving at all times. The sight of the tail took me back immediately. ❤❤❤
That pup was smiling the whole time. He wrote himself right at home. I love it!❤

Lee, you made me tear up a bit😊…that looks like heaven!! All those happy pups, it melts my heart. I know you and your staff work so hard day & night, but oh my, those happy furry butts…I love seeing it. Hugs hugs hugs to you and all them sweet babies🐾🐾🐾🧡🧡
His life just got super duper awesome❤️
I got my GSD as a pup. It was not my first rodeo, but at around 8 months, I really started to question my decision. Thankfully, I had the support of a really good trainer. He is 2 1/2 now and a wonderful boy. I'm so happy with him.
When I have a bad day or I’m just sick and tired of the divisions in our country due to politics and our leaders lying to us I come here to unwind. I think most Americans can agree that these videos are beautiful and fun and heartwarming. Everything else just fades away. Thank you for always putting out positive and loving content. It helps.
He is very handsome. Hope he does well. He's with the right people now. Lee you are still a dod saint.👍😇
He's FABULOUS! I love this breed. This is just what he needs.
I pretty much trained 4 dogs. All 4 I or my parents have had since puppies. I recently adopted an older dog who is between 11 months per the trainers and 1 to 1.5 per the vet and 2 according to the pound. She came with so many bad habits and it has been difficult breaking her of them. Our training sessions are mentally exhausting for her because we have to dismantle what she already has grown accustom to doing and retrain her to do things right. She's getting there though and I am so proud of her. Our biggest obstacle is the recall because she's just not that bonded to me yet. She loves me, but she wouldn't miss me if someone else took her in! She wouldnt even be upset to go back to the pound with all her "friends."
Health and love going forward to Easter .... new beginnings for all . Pleasant walks....
Cali's long lost brother? I love the name Duke! They probably named him after the Bush's Beans mascot Duke!
Awe cute, the playtime at the end of the video. Dave appears to be a beautiful little socialite. I believe he is going to fit in perfectly with the rest of Asher House. I believe he already loves his new family.
The little dog was so happy to see duke! 🤗😍😎
Handsome boy. But I can't believe the owner hadn't already had him fixed. Makes me think there was more going on than him just running off. Glad he's safe.
Me too - so thankful Lee came to the Rescue🥰🥰
That’s why he kept running off….because hormones. he was probably smelling a female in heat and was trying to find her. you could tell Dave wasn’t abused or anything.
Intact male dogs do often wander off looking for females in heat 🐕
If the previous owner didn't know the dog wasn't fixed, what else did the guy not know?! The guy just had to look. Smh.
@@Keyee1 Maybe you should watch this again.........🙄
( hint:That guy is NOT the owner)
He’s a beaut so glad you found him 🥰
Goldens are so worth the effort..but, not for people without time, patience, love and understanding😊our girl is now 4 calm, sweet, obedient and perfect for us. Your boy hit the lotto! Thank you for taking him in to the pack..Lee you are amazing!
Calli, walking along the side, carrying her ball, steady as the sun, wagging her tail, so content😭💗
What a beautiful sight 😍❤..all the critters walking with you .thank goodness for you ❤.
They are Soooo Very happy!!
What a beautiful dog❤ welcome to the pack!
My Lollie (blacklab mix), was a runner. Not away to anywhere, just running with her face in the wind. Sometimes just 1/100th faster than I could walk/run to catch her (2x) She just thought life was an adventure. She was also a rescue and so was about 5 y/o when she came to live at her forever home with me. She passed away a few years ago, but I still miss her. Pretty sure she is w/ my mom in heaven and has stolen mom's chair. And mom loved it when she did.
I think Dave has a good friend in Duke. :D Dave is going to be such an awesome dog.
I always literally laugh out loud when I see Tommy with his red ball😅
What a lovely dog so sweet x
As a dog walker, 8 mo. to 2 years is the "most important for training" and after being entrusted with a "handful" of a 11 mo. golden retreiver and having him really press me to my leash training skills and really challenge me, leash training has now become kind of an obsession for all of my charges. Let me tell you, it is MUCH easier to start leash training at 3 or 4 months old if you are very gentle and you know what you are doing. It is easy to be gentle and I recommend it, as the younger pups take leash training direction far more easily and they never get as hard to manage later on in the 7 month to 2 year stage.
You know, I love the little glimpses or "cameos" by Tommy 🤣 he is just too cute.
Another Beautiful Furr Baby to join an amazingly loving Lee and family.
So beautiful! Thank you Lee for making this sweet boy happy ❤
