@@kimaletta , I have noticed that both of the mother gorillas will put their arms over their chests when the babies come to nurse, or will push them away when they try to get close to nurse. Think Ringo has about given up on his mother letting him nurse. The keepers have got to be seeing this.

This is what happend when the caretakers do not intervene when in the begging Tayary kidnapped Ringo through his all infant period. IrikI was obligated to yield her motherhood to Tayari. Iriki was a great mom in the beginning but Tayari pressure was to much. Now she looks sometime she doesn't care about Ringo. He is not nursery or sleeping enough. "GOOD FOR YOU GUYS IN THE ZOO. NICE JOB"
