Thank you for sharing your beautiful gorillas familys, , the twins are absolutely adorable, all so peaceful & graceful❣I found this lovely family about a month ago. Some of us are quite concerned 😟about how Mom handles her baby, drags, the baby around, throws baby on her back, pulls the baby with her leg, the poor baby holding on to her leg!🤔😔😪In the videos, I've never seen her love, hold, hug, nurse Baby Jabali! She is a young mom I read, and loves her Silverback very much. She knows that is her little one, you filming your gorillas with your experience seeing them grow, do you think the baby will be all right? Jabali's bottom looks like many skin folds , not filling up smoothly! Poor little baby, 😢 I sure hope this beautiful zoo forest caretakers staff help nourish the lovely Baby Jabali❣🍼🥛🍎🥦🥬🫑🍉🥕🥜🌰🦍👍👏Stay Safe and Blessings to this lovely family and Everyone ❗💞🥳🙏💪🦍

Tayari is indeed a young and first time mother. She has seen examples but for a lot of gorilla moms it is hard the first time. But I do see mothers love for Jabali, many times she does cary him om her chest or in her neck and I've seen her grooming him softly. I think she doesn't quite understand yet how it works to cary him on her leg because it is normal for them to cruise along on mothers legs but he is holding on with his back against her leg, that's ofc not right (and he is a bit too young). Iriki is also young and there isn't another female who can help her so that's too bad. But Tayari nurses Jabali, takes care of him and he is growing. I don't think you should worry too much yet. Whenever she would stop nursing him, the staff will probably help but untill then it is unwise to help. There are many bad side affects of human interference. It might looks harsh sometimes but for a first time mom I don't think she is doing a bad job. Just give her some time. She has a lovely character and I hope she will eventually play as much as she did in Apenheul (NL). She was/is loved by many over her.
And ofc I can't observe her as much as others can now so I have to base this on the video's which are just a few minutes out of 24hours ;). But this is my opinion as far as I can see ;).

I'm not familiar with this family but why is mom not letting baby nurse? She's...disinterested in her baby. He seems really small for being born end of October last year. Am I wrong? I hope I am!
I agree! He out there trying to eat any and everything because she don't want to be bothered. Poor baby!

有些無知的外國人，只憑幾秒的畫面，幾個動作，就杜撰起故事了！指責母猩猩不盡責不餵奶，指責園方工作人員該給予人工餵奶，一直懷疑寶寶沒被照顧，說寶寶“看起來像肚子很餓在找東西吃”，指責另一母猩猩想搶寶寶，寶寶會有危險...
企圖帶風向，我不知影片流到國外是如何被帶風向的..
但起碼我知道 人工餵奶必須吻合條件，非必要 盡量不加入人工干預，這涉及猩猩的社群建構行為， 這不是寵物或實驗室猩猩像人類一樣成天拿著奶瓶吸不停，是看太多實驗室猩猩？園方必須保持他們基本生物本能，過度干預反而有害身心，那些以營利為主的“表演型”動物園才會一直餵食

Tayari is a bad mother period. Not once has she shown any interest in the baby. I've never even seen her touch him. She prefers to do nothing, sitting or lying next to "her man". When i saw the very first video, showing this beautiful baby, i was shocked that his mother didn't keep him clutched to her. He's only 3 1/2 months old. Apparently she won't let him nurse. I hope and pray that Taipei Zoo feeds him. Not having had a gorilla baby in 106 years may very well mean that they don't have anyone on staff who monitors this situation and makes crucial decisions.
