I ordered my M5 CS in August of 21 with the promise that it would be at MSRP from a local dealership that I have purchased two prior cars from in the past. They took my deposit and the car finally came in in March of 22 and they tell me the market has changed and the car will be 50K over but they will sell it to me for 25K over as a courtesy. Took my deposit back and went off on the GM and told him I will take up a billboard above the dealership with that 25K exposing their shady business practice. Got a call 4 hours later to come take the car at MSRP. Obviously I will never do business with them again. They will learn the hard way when the economy is not in their favor.
I absolutely despise most car dealerships. Unfortunately it’s part of the game so there’s no getting around them. However, it blows my mind that a dealership would even attempt this type of extortion, especially with high net worth clientele. F these guys. Thanks for the great video and for exposing these scumbags.
The customer is the one with the money. They try to fool us by making the buyer feel desperate for the allocation, but eventually that game will die out. Specifically, when the customer realizes they've been ripped off.
The $2670 was for a plus 1 maintenance plan. Plus 1 means you get an additional service at year 2. They weren’t charging you for the complimentary service that Porsche gives you at year 1. With that said, it is illegal to say someone has to purchase the plan. It is completely optional. Crazy part is, the markup on that plan is only $130. Sounds like they wanted you to walk away. Probably had a buyer willing to pay more.
Thank you for your insight and this video explaining how champion porsche treats their customers. I talked to a salesman there and configured a 2023 porsche 992gts ,now I see why I haven't received a call and I'm glad I didn't
Based on my experience in the automotive industry, I would blame the finance manager more than anyone, Any salesperson would just want to sell the car and move onto the next one, But additional add ons are backend profit for the finance dept. since they make literally $0.00 on cash deals. So they decided to throw the salesperson on the frontline to tell you this instead of them calling you to explain why they need to add this prepaid package, which is completely unprofessional, As a salesperson i've lost so many deals from genuine customers like yourself because of that reason, Also being a messenger between a finance manager and a customer causes miscommunication, You should at least get a call from management for such a high ticket inquiry, Unfortunately those managers got their positions based on how much they sold and not their leadership skills, And that's how the car business is sadly. I look forward to seeing you getting one soon, Good luck!!
You can’t blame the finance Mgr for that the deal was a new order purchase not a instock finance deal. It didn’t reach that point yet it’s the Sales Mgr and General Sales Mgr who needs to take fault they just lost that deal over $2650
The car dealership model is the problem, I don't know how many times I've sat down to buy a car and then got into an argument when it was time to sign the paperwork. Cars are so complicated now even a Toyota Carolla is an exotic.
Some veteran car salesmen advised that whenever they offer those additionals, ask them where it says in contact that they have the right to make customer pay for them. State laws prohibits dealerships to force customers to pay additional cost when they have declined to pay.
I had the similar problem with Napleton Porsche….unbelievable I swear. Signed the paperwork gave deposit, we agreed on the 20k mark up (whatever) car arrived I was asked to pay 75k over …. Told them to F them selfs and walked away. Asked my attorneys to call for the deposit back and deal with the breach of contract. Guys honestly don’t be afraid to walk away, if say 5 of us walk away from that 75k marked up car they won’t have any other option but to sell it to us at cost. I genuinely can’t stand them, don’t understand why Porsche is allowing this Nigerian Princ type of scam to go on and keep loosing great customers.

Thank you for your great content! Unfortunately, I watched this video and got a different perspective on Champion and Mirek, specifically. As luck would have it, I have been working with Mirek on a 992.2 allocation - at least by putting my $1K down to be on the list for a GTS allocation. At the time, I specifically asked about pricing and he said "we only charge MSRP" but your video alerted me to watch out for tricks from them. Sad - the dealership seemed impressive, and it is very closeby :(

Love this! I bought 2. cars from these guys 2 years ago one of them being a GT3 RS . They pulled all this same crap which is how I found this video after I googled this. I figured I was not the first. Way better dealers to work with
What would you suggest is the best way to buy a new Targa 4S Neo Ruby Star Red vehicle? Am I able to set up an appt. at the Porsche dealership in Germany, build the car there & pay them & then have it shipped to me (my home) once it’s in the US - not a dealership? Thank you.
It would need to be delivered through a US Porsche dealership most likely. But they can receive and ship the car to you without you having to go there.
There is no, "It's only $3 grand". That's most people's mortgage payment for 3 months. That's a lot of money. It isn't just $3 grand. It's a breach of contract and a breach of trust. I would be livid if a car salesman pulled that on me. Why is a contract is a contract is a contract EXCEPT if it's a car dealership? We need to start suing these people.
Porsche is a real success story with amazing vehicles. They need to own their own dealerships and be done with the scams. I love the brand but wouldn’t touch it for fear of this type of crap.
Yes, I had similar incident like this at Porsche next to my house, called loeber Porsche, I was also asking gt3 touring and he was charging $155k over the sticker which was $195k, the rudest sales man ever name Dave, charging 80 to 90% over sticker, I would have picked two Porsches instead of one at that cost. I did call the Porsche headquarters in Atlanta and told em about the whole situation, but they said we don’t get involved in the price. Ridiculous!
Markup is one thing (although 155k over is psychotic). The market is the market. But constantly tacking on fees after a deal is agreed to is scumbaggery.
If you are talking about Loeber Porsche in Lincolnwood, Illinois and I think you are, I tried to buy a 911 Turbo S from them with no luck, they told me $100,000 over MSRP. Needless to say I didn’t buy anything from them. Being a neighbor of a be of the Loeber’s was meaning less. The other Porsche dealership did the same but their markups were less.
@@mxtv1258 yes I’m talking about Loeber porsche in Lincolnwood, Illinois, they are assholes there. Marking up a bit 10k or 15k but 100k+, that shit is messed up.
Amazing the level this dealership has gone to. You would think Porsche is above this type of scam. Thanks for calling them out and sharing the info. Good luck getting the car elsewhere!
i had a question not related to this. How come companies let u buy cars as new from then like spec them out etc since u basically buy and flip em eventually isn’t their whole goal to sell it to people who will at least keep it for a long time even if they don’t really drive it much?
yeah most dealers do that. when I bought a Merc, they had all kind of plans to add on to the price. I just said, no not necessary for me. All good for me. but yeah not to sell the car because you dont want a service plan....is terrible!!!
3k only after they slapped him with a SEVENTY THOUSAND DOLLAR MARKUP!!! You're already stealing 70k from someone, but it's never enough for these types of dealerships. Black Listed.
To be fair, I was ok with the markup. The market is the market and we both agreed to that negotiation. I’m not OK with the walk back on that fee AFTER we agreed on price. Even if it was $30. Absolute dirtbaggery
So a $53k ADM on a GT3 Touring? This dealership is giving the car away compared to almost everyone else in the entire US right now and you trash them on youtube?
YO ! I BOUGHT A LAMBORGHI URUS FRO A PORSCHE DEALER AND THEY WERE GOOD TO BUY FROM BUT THEY WILL NOT REGISTER THE CAR!!!! JUST EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE! THEY EVEN GAVE ME ANOTHER TEMP PLATE FOR ANOTHER 2 MONTHS ( AND ALSO GETTING THE VIN WRONG ON THE 2ND TEMP PLATE). IS THIS DEALER HOLDING THE SALESTAX OR LEGITAMATELY HARD TO REGISTER THE CAR FROM MISSOURI TO CALIFORNIA? I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM MISOURI AND I AM CALIFORNIA. THANKS
Porsche West Broward are other clowns in the Porsche scene in Florida. What happened to Pej, is also known as "DEAL PACKING" and it's ILLEGAL. Don't bend over for this dealerships.
only a GENIUS could try to swindle an extra $3k after already securing $50k over on a car 😭😭😭 FROM A HIGH TICKET CUSTOMER ... it's like they're trying to shoot themselves in the foot
I had bad experience with Miller Motorcars back in 2017. They happen to have a 720s customer ordered back out and said they sell it to me for msrp. I told them send me the app and card form to put down payment, guy sent it then didt charge it. He keep delaying then few days later tells me he has to sell it to me over msrp. Next the GM was out and took days to get a hold of, I get a call from the GM saying I didt think you could afford the car. I get Mclaren corporate on the phone they got the dealer to call me back and sell it to me for msrp but more bs they would not charge my card or pull credit. Then tell me sorry it's sold. It was crazy how all this happened when I had Mclaren of Philly being the best dealer i ever worked with, just at the time it was hard to get a 720. So end up with a 570GT at a big discount from philly.
PJ, can you please do a vid on why it matters to a dealer where anyone would choose to register a car? It's not like the dealer is the one missing out on any potential tax revenue. I don't understand why the dealer wants to tell a buyer where they can register. I am familiar with the Montana auto trust options but its still none of a car dealers business.
If doesn’t matter to a dealer unless it matters to the manufacturer. So if the manufacturer wants to combat flipping they can pressure the dealer to sell locally.
First Just want to really thank you for sharing this info to all of us and giving us the full story detail, I really appreciate it. I got scammed 18k for not reading the contract I just assumed everting was ok till I signed and found out what I was really paying for too late for me so like you said read the contract in full before you sign.
Great informative video. Unbelievable, how they take advantage of absolutely everyone. That salesman is a classic Jack Ass !! Porsche Champion allowing this to happen, is even more alarming. Oh man. Cross another dealership off my list !!
The $2670 was put on, agreed to be taken off and then was put back on and told pay it or you don’t get the car……why is this so hard for everyone to understand that this is the issue and not the actual money? He made that very clear.
Its weird you had that issue with Champion Porsche. I got mine at MSRP. But well I'm a regular and buy all my cars with them and always had the best experience.
I wish there was more push against the markups. My dream is to own a gt4rs and the only thing stopping me is the absurd markups it crushes me inside but I will keep waiting and saving I trust in Christ 🙏
They made a guy buy a gt4rs off the floor to get the allocation for a gt3rs then the car got there and they got him with mark ups too. Champion porsche is grimey
I believe the Maraj family purchased Champion in the 80s and turned it around, becoming the highest volume Porsche dealer. Sad to see their reputation declining with the continued shadiness. I loved going there as a kid to see my favorite cars.
Good video. I've done business with the collection in the Gables and seem to be pretty upfront with their customers. Gio the finance mgr for Porsche is a stand up guy.
It doesn’t change the value of this story, but this was a local to you dealer. Why didn’t you go to dealer, find manager or owner and finalize. If it is a time equation, you spent days regardless.
Porsche can fix this problem if they wanted. Porsche know what is going on. How about the Porsche USA selling a 2022 GT3 Touring to the Store Manager for invoice, only to have the Store manager drive the car for a few weeks and then sell it as "used" for significantly over invoice. Porsche co-signs the shenanigans. Look like they way want to take an alternative model of business in order to stay relevant. Word on the Autobahn is that Porsche is having some serious supply chain issues. It's also rumored they are going to start selling the GT cars directly instead of through the dealers. Payment in full. No more dealer scalping.
I’ll sell you mine lol My local dealer here in California charged me $50k ADM but they were upfront about it & never tried to pull any of the crap Champion did with you. I paid taxes on it obviously.
Yup. I flew to NC walked into the dealer with luggage and drove the car back to Florida. They were amazing. On the way home they called me and said they were giving me a $1000 credit back. I totally forgot I put a $1000 on a CC while in Florida to hold it for me. It was a cash deal and the $1000 was forgotten at time of purchase. I took the salesman and his manager out to dinner before we left they treated me so well.
wow, yeah they're wrong for charging you $3k for something Porsche includes in the damn MSRP.if i was in that situation and i'm like ok fine i'll fly my ass to Stuttgart and get my damn car, even if they have to reorder my car and loose the down payment from the dealership(whatever it may be) I'd much rather deal with the manufacturer DIRECTLY than deal with these types. oddly enough i remember champion porsche racing and winning races in IMSA/SCCA/Rolex Daytona in 911's but I guess they were bad actors
Funny how a lot of your deals go bad and the issue is always on the dealer side. We all know the mark up is absolutely crazy right now and you are doing the same with your cars, it’s the nature of the business but targeting the dealer and a sales person because you didn’t want to pay the 3k is just unfortunate. I purchase couple of cars with Mirek and just got a Turbo GT that will be delivered in 3 weeks and in my experience, Champion and Mirek were amazing. My experience and my opinion.
It’s not about the money. It’s about his integrity. We had an agreement after a lengthy, fair, negotiation. Then he went back on his word. I honor my deals ALWAYS because reputation is everything. 15,000+ buyers in my community will now never do business with either of them.
@Marco brausa If you watch the ENTIRE video you’ll clearly understand that this wasn’t about the dealer markup. This was about a last second maintenance cost Champion added that wasn’t originally agreed on. It’s just like the additional insurance that companies like to throw in that’s completely unnecessary and bogus. You get it now?
Champion Porsche is shit, the money obviously isn’t the issue. It’s principle and just feeling like your getting shafted. That shouldn’t been the thought when picking up such a badass car, it should feel great. And not like shit… wouldn’t buy a damn thing from there ever… I’m rich, so I don’t really give a shit I’ll buy one somewhere else🤣🤣🤣🤜🏻🤛🏻 your awesome 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I had a deal on an incoming 2022 M3 Comp with an out of state dealer, same place I purchased my F90 M5 Comp. Told me $10k over sticker, negotiated to $5k over. Asked them to send me the paperwork and the sales guy responded with "oh i didn't realize you were out of state, we would have to sell for at least $20k over since we won't be getting the servicing" Didn't realize I was out of state? You sold me my m5 and I said multiple times in email i was out of state - My reply was, well even if the car stayed local there is no guarantee so speak to the manager. He calls me back 2 days later stating the manager agreed to the $5k - sends me the paperwork and he now has it at $5500 (only $500 but it's the principle) and then there is a $495 tint fee added on. They didn't even have the car in their possession - asked him to remove the charge and not tint the car and was told that was not possible so I told them keep it. I know they found someone else to buy it for probably way more, similar specs for selling for $15k over msrp used, but I refuse to partake in this dealer nonsense that people have just accepted.
Definitely champion sucks. Always scamming. They will beg client to buy their cars soon at a 20% discount. Lol. No worries. Holman Motorcars is opening a Porsche dealership in north miami in 2 years. 😝
I reverently traded in my new M3 for a used GT4 from Champion. The price was at market value, we negotiated and settled. I’ve been loving this car ever since. I still service my cars there and never had a issue. But honestly, all dealers lie. From Honda, to Porsche. I think complaining about an already known issue just doesn’t do anything.
If you use your ears (the weird floppy bois on the side of your head) you would hear that I was not in fact mad about any amount of money, but the fact that they went back on an agreed deal. This is a reputation business, your word is your bond. Their word is less than worthless
This is why rich ppl always try to f over the middle class guys ie: landscape, painters, plumbers, or handymen in general! Because they are willing to throw so much money at something that they're trying to get but still gets robbed by their money peers! But if that was guy working for them weekly charges for a extra tasks for $25-$100 they go crazy. So what it tells me is that ur rich buttttttt not important rich hahaha! 🤔 I still wish I had ur problems 😔 But how are u hacking anything and are willing to pay 55k over? Do u think these values are gonna hold? Nahhhhhh
If I didn't think the value was going to hold, I wouldn't be buying. Again, for the millionth time, I'm not mad about the money. I'm mad about them saying "deal" and then trying to reopen for $3k more AFTER getting their markup or walking away.
It's greed and lack of morals and ethics. I got burned on my CL63. For real car guys like myself, it sucks that you have to navigate these types of businesses just to enjoy something you work hard to be able to do/have/experience...

Markup is one thing (although 155k over is psychotic). The market is the market. But constantly tacking on fees after a deal is agreed to is scumbaggery.
R they in Chicago?

They were actually good with me. Took a fair trade on a GT3RS and sold me a 992 GT3. Good experience all around. I think I had a better salesperson…
What’s your go to instead? Up at Braman? Or is there a Miami Porsche down south
TBD
I have had problems with both Champion and Porsche of West Broward. I no longer own a Porsche and will not buy one again.
I live in Palm Beach Florida, I would never deal with Champion Porsche, they play games and try slimy tactics all the time.
yeah most dealers do that. when I bought a Merc, they had all kind of plans to add on to the price. I just said, no not necessary for me. All good for me. but yeah not to sell the car because you dont want a service plan....is terrible!!!
"Thankfully im Rich" im puting that on a T Shirt legend
3k only after they slapped him with a SEVENTY THOUSAND DOLLAR MARKUP!!! You're already stealing 70k from someone, but it's never enough for these types of dealerships. Black Listed.
To be fair, I was ok with the markup. The market is the market and we both agreed to that negotiation. I’m not OK with the walk back on that fee AFTER we agreed on price. Even if it was $30. Absolute dirtbaggery
So a $53k ADM on a GT3 Touring? This dealership is giving the car away compared to almost everyone else in the entire US right now and you trash them on youtube?
absolute trash.
THANKS

Greed
Wow. Philly McLaren is an excellent dealer.
@@ExoticCarHacks Yeah Philly was the best when it comes to McLaren. And Miller Motors was the worst.
@@ExoticCarHacks got it. thanks!
First Just want to really thank you for sharing this info to all of us and giving us the full story detail, I really appreciate it. I got scammed 18k for not reading the contract I just assumed everting was ok till I signed and found out what I was really paying for too late for me so like you said read the contract in full before you sign.
In the UK the porsche salesman cream there pants when they tell you,NO you can't order a gt3rs,sad times, slam the door in your face.
Great informative video. Unbelievable, how they take advantage of absolutely everyone.
That salesman is a classic Jack Ass !! Porsche Champion allowing this to happen, is even more alarming. Oh man. Cross another dealership off my list !!
Can’t you report this to the state as bait and switch?
nah its trash dealer, common practice for them
The $2670 was put on, agreed to be taken off and then was put back on and told pay it or you don’t get the car……why is this so hard for everyone to understand that this is the issue and not the actual money? He made that very clear.
its not the ones complaining are like dealership employees lol who were told to go comment cause their boss is a giant pussy.
Its weird you had that issue with Champion Porsche. I got mine at MSRP. But well I'm a regular and buy all my cars with them and always had the best experience.
they are trash.
I wish there was more push against the markups. My dream is to own a gt4rs and the only thing stopping me is the absurd markups it crushes me inside but I will keep waiting and saving I trust in Christ 🙏
Do you have a mechanic for Porsche in Florida? I
Yea that sucks. Tried to but there in the past. Always some crap they come up with at the closing table
Similar just happened to me at Vista
They made a guy buy a gt4rs off the floor to get the allocation for a gt3rs then the car got there and they got him with mark ups too. Champion porsche is grimey
I believe the Maraj family purchased Champion in the 80s and turned it around, becoming the highest volume Porsche dealer. Sad to see their reputation declining with the continued shadiness. I loved going there as a kid to see my favorite cars.
Good video. I've done business with the collection in the Gables and seem to be pretty upfront with their customers. Gio the finance mgr for Porsche is a stand up guy.
I love exotic cars, I would love to get into car sales, but unfortunately, every car dealership I look into, has terrible reviews.. so sad
Champion Porsche is the number one Porsche dealer in the east coast …. FYI
Man that’s the biggest whingefest I’ve seen in a while lol
Agree 100% with you
They value making a couple more grand over losing a rich client? Greed over brains
Doesn’t matter to them when market is hot. It will when market is cold. But all dealers short term thinkers.
I won't be doing business with them. Thanks!
Yeah I do these videos to warn people of these cartoons doing this to real clients.
Champion has been the same thing for the last 30 years!
They ruined my GT3 at their service department
It doesn’t change the value of this story, but this was a local to you dealer. Why didn’t you go to dealer, find manager or owner and finalize. If it is a time equation, you spent days regardless.
It's not a time equation, it's an honoring your word equation, after walking back their word they no longer deserved my business
Ha h! Funny that they thought they would pull one over on PJ. He does this for a living better than they do. PJ is smarter than they are.
Total dirtbag dealer BS. Added to a long list of dealers not worth their weight in shit
Wish I would see your video before 🤯
I'm not a Porsche fan but those GT3 Touring cars are pretty sick, especially if it's manual
Agreed. Looking forward to getting one.
Lets hope they do that and crush these ass clown dealers
I’ll sell you mine lol
My local dealer here in California charged me $50k ADM but they were upfront about it & never tried to pull any of the crap Champion did with you. I paid taxes on it obviously.
email me the spec info@exoticcarhacks.com
Pejman is a G for this
Buy in North Carolina I bought few from them durham
The dude has a linkedin profile too
Basically an algo comment 💪
High end clients don't need special treatment they need a bag of shit in the glove box.
poor people agree with you
@@ExoticCarHacks thanks
lol don't be jealous lol brokie
wow, yeah they're wrong for charging you $3k for something Porsche includes in the damn MSRP.if i was in that situation and i'm like ok fine i'll fly my ass to Stuttgart and get my damn car, even if they have to reorder my car and loose the down payment from the dealership(whatever it may be)
I'd much rather deal with the manufacturer DIRECTLY than deal with these types.
oddly enough i remember champion porsche racing and winning races in IMSA/SCCA/Rolex Daytona in 911's but I guess they were bad actors
Independent dealers >>>>
If you can’t afford it just say so. We don’t need this drawn out nonsense.
Champion is scumbags, never go there!
facts
Champion..is a joke.. never buy from them... let them go under..
I put this video on and fell asleep… what a bore
Champion Porsche is shit, the money obviously isn’t the issue. It’s principle and just feeling like your getting shafted. That shouldn’t been the thought when picking up such a badass car, it should feel great. And not like shit… wouldn’t buy a damn thing from there ever… I’m rich, so I don’t really give a shit I’ll buy one somewhere else🤣🤣🤣🤜🏻🤛🏻 your awesome 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Exposed. 👏🤓
always trying to scam you....

Champion scammers oyevey
Definitely champion sucks. Always scamming. They will beg client to buy their cars soon at a 20% discount. Lol.
No worries. Holman Motorcars is opening a Porsche dealership in north miami in 2 years. 😝
I reverently traded in my new M3 for a used GT4 from Champion. The price was at market value, we negotiated and settled. I’ve been loving this car ever since. I still service my cars there and never had a issue. But honestly, all dealers lie. From Honda, to Porsche. I think complaining about an already known issue just doesn’t do anything.
All dealers do not lie. Many do. But not all.

For a rich guy that hehe claim he is….hehe sure complains a lot about $50k lol
