    I think you explained it very well in free content. Urus was hot purely because demand outstripped supply but, once they had enough vehicles "on the lot" and there isn't a waiting period, it's over. The car was not special. It's an audi. Urus is going to be the most mass produced "exotic". Well explained

    You didn’t really explain much. Used urus prices are less than 200k now-not the case a year ago… plus stricter financing and interest rates are also the main factors driving prices down.

  • @batmikipig
    @batmikipig 2 года назад +4

    You make it very understandable! Hypercar markups seem logical because they all are limited edition, but suvs are mass produced, so it's not always immediate.
    Personal: To me is crazy that someone is willing to pay full price for a daily car... let alone pay over sticker. This super suv, will be in a junkyard anyway in 30 years with sclass/7 series/A8

  • @Acriore
    @Acriore 2 года назад +2

    Interesting maybe for the US market true but in Europe keep the price and I was just last week in the Urus factory they produce 26 models a day and they can't produce enough models as the demand. It's going out still the normal base model with the new Urus S and Urus Performante models. I live in Switzerland ok maybe here is different like other countries but for example in the ski region this weekend came several Urus models. Here is very famous and the prices are not really going down rather rising...

I'm patiently waiting for prices to come in on F12's and 458's. It's hilarious because the salesmen I know keep coming at me with; "we've got this rare, once in a lifetime find for $xxx,000". • @MElsorady
    @MElsorady 2 года назад +1

    Ok, for the G63 I have a thought and question: the thought is base model G63 is now 30k MSRP (not accounting any over sticker). g63 4x4 is valued at 300k. Likely be the last version of them. There may be another batch of G63 in 2024 but MBZ will not produce any more G63 in anticipation of EQG. They will just have to stop that model. Matter of fact all their lineup is now being converted into electric. Can one argue that in 2-3 year mark because of decrease in supply the resale will come back up? Not sure one would enjoy EQG with no sound, specially very first models won’t be as perfect (not to mention MBZ got battery tech from investing earlier in Tesla, yet Tesla batteries hold more). Point said MBZ electric cars look bad and drive bad. Which will keep gas powered G63 still desirable. More over in CA they will stop selling gas powered new cars starting 2030. To that point, don’t you think G63 will become more collectible? I know it’s not like SLS OR SLR mclaren, but relatively is what I mean. Thank you!

    • @solaryatra
      @solaryatra 2 года назад +1

      Which planet do you live on? The largest market for G63 is Asia - China & ME specifically. No electric G class will sell there. Here in Asia, G63 has 15% premium in 2022 but the wait time is 3-8 weeks for new build vs 6-12 months in US. Same for every other $200k and up luxury car. US is not the largest or preferred car market anymore. China is.
      Electric G class will sell side by side of the regular one. Electric woke BS does not sell that well in Asia. Emissions also take a backset - Toyota sells Landcruiser 70 series - drivetrain and car is from 1970's. I was visiting a Worldcup match in Doha and in the stadium parking lot - there were 50+ G63 and another 20~30 Cullinans and Urus. You have no idea how wealthy rest of the world is, compared to US.

    Another thing to consider is that brands like Mercedes-Benz and Lamborghini don't understand how to keep their aftermarket values up because they will, with very few exceptions that are far too limited to again, understand the secondary market and these guys have been making cars for a long time.
    Who does it best? Porsche. They have the perfect amount of the limited run special models that keep the more mass produced, even though they don't make a ton of them even with their best selling model: the Macan. That's why Porches keep their value. Well, that and the higher build quality and bang for the buck performance in the upscale market. A Turbo S starts at just over $200k and it mutilates other exotics that cost significantly more.
    Just look at how much Porsche rapes customers with add-ons. The fact that people still buy a shitload of them goes to show what people will pay when you give them incredible 911s for the fraction of the overall cost of a Lamborghini or Ferrari. It's usually AT LEAST 1/2 or 1/3 and they don't need to go into the dealership every year for 10s of thousands of dollars for services.
    These are just a few reasons as to why they are the best and generally have the best aftermarket in comparison to sticker price dollar to dollar.
    Cheers
