昔のKONAMIは各ステージにテーマがあり、敵の配置や攻撃で自機を誘導したり明確な意思があったと思う
確かに背景などは格段に綺麗になった、ただそれだけ
昔であれば宇宙、地上、空中、水中、地中など様々な変化に富んだステージを作ったと思う、一応分かれては居るんだけど暗くて地味すぎ
敵の配置もボスさえも、すごく適当に置きましたって感じがして、製作者の意図が全く感じられない上に爽快感も皆無で1面がやたらと長い
そんなゲームを最後までプレイ動画として上げてくれたZoddroniteさんに感謝
KONAMIじゃなくて開発はスコットランドのデベロッパー・KeelWorksなんですよね…

I wish they would give a "2x slow" option
That would require this shmup to actually be well made. And apparently that’s not what they were going for.
Yes, I got it on Epic and as expected, it's insanely hard. Touhou at least had its wonderful clean aesthetic. Here, it's just a giant mess, it explodes everywhere, there is zero feedback when you get hit, zero feedback when you hit enemies.
It's just randomly moving and shooting while praying.
Also, I wonder who is the demographic for this kind of game, who has a brain fast enough to process all that mess?
I guess it's all about learning to ignore the fluff and focusing on the important stuff ... but there is zero fun in that.
Also, the environments are incredibly dull "hexagon scifi grayish".

Reminds me of Darius Twin on SNES.
Looks very intense, and visuals are awesome!, but I miss a variety of ships to choose and play with. This, apart from difficulty modes, would make replayability longer.

Anyone else know if my game is buggy or not, so I beat the first stage (finally and so satisfying) but for some reason I have 23 points in the upgrade menu but the menu is not responsive. I'm able to press a button but it shakes the 23 and makes it red as if it's not enough or something . Is there anything I can do or is this a feature ? I am very new as you can tell and just very confused.
Edit: I figured it out thanks to someone on reddit. Basically you need 25 points, tho the system is confusing the person on reddit said that you can even earn upto 250 points on stage 1 on easy mode. This can be achieved via taking little to no hits or just less hits = more upgrade points. The developers seem to understand how imo terrible their UI actually is with little to no information on how things work and are thus gonna provide more information on this in a new update.
It's a fun game, performance is trash I'm not gonna lie just my own opinion, I don't hate it but also don't get why it's 25gb for just 3-4 enemy variations . Anyways hope this helps.

This game definitely needs jet and weapon customization. They can level down the graphics, I wont complain.

The last thing I wanted was an open world game. I thought it was a flight sim similar to Elite Dangerous or something with a campaign. Still looks fun, but I can't run it.

No. If you’re actually a shmup fan then you know this game is horribly designed. There are dozens of way better shmups I can recommend on top of my head.

Don't buy this game
First of all i did everything trying to enjoy and like this game, i own almost every side and top scrolling games on both Xbox Series as well as PS4 / 5. Just to give a few examples, Sky Force Reloaded, Sky Force Anniversary, Ikaruga, R-Type, Resogun, Nex Machina, Rive, All the Metal Slug Games, and Arcade space ”Classics” Defender, Space Invaders and so on.
CYGNI however, is one of Konamis big failures in resent memory and it really pains me to have to make a statement like that. This game is all over the place and not in a good way. This is a textbook example that good looking graphics are not enough to hold together a game.+20gb of storage for what?
and to ad insult to injury +30$ as well In comparrison take Sky Force reloaded and Anniversary, those games are STELLAR when it comes to execution regarding graphics, level of challages and funfactor Cygni are just a complete mess, maybe if i had some sort of disorder and multiple arms i would have enjoyed it more. But not in it’s current state.Do not get me wrong, this game is GORGEOUS, but that’s not enough. I favorited this game whan i saw all the screenshots, and was very exited about it. And i have been following it’s deveolpment closely as well If only i would have bought it on the Xbox platform i could have had a refund, now i have to suffer knowing this abomination have to live inside my Playstation game library forever.
