One of the best films of all time. And the narration of Morgan Freeman was the magic that made this cult classic. Great share and thanks for picking this up. How about Momento, which was Nolans' initial cult movie and a mind blowing moving in the way the story was laid out. will be great to know your thoughts. Also how do you see the current state of flash floods and land slides that are impacting the Country, a view from the "Pahadi" person will help. Is it that this is common or do you think this is due to over construction and bad decisions made in the name of urbanization?
Classic. Love Freeman. I actually dozed off watching Momento in an Ohio cinema. Re: floods, the reason is pure human greed. Nothing new.

You rightfully appreciated the Cinemetagrophy , Direction, Production, Acting and Screenplay.
Its soundtrack is highly underrated. Thomas Newman did some magic in it's score.
Compounded with the impeccable narration of Morgan Freeman, its a film that will probably be never duplicated.
There is something in the film that draws out human emotions and interrelationships on silver screen. Even though being a prison film it unlike any other film.
I even read somewhere that it was the favorite movie of Nelson Mandela.

I saw this movie twice. Although some scenes are hard to watch because I am a little sensitive but I loved the theme of not losing hope even in the most hopeless situations. One must find a purpose in life and it will lead to countless opportunities. I am not a philosopher, but I love the movie themes like this.
One of the reasons why I love the movie ' Forrest Gump', a story about a special man who looks at the world without judgment and prejudice. I have watched 'The Green Mile' and 'The Mist' of Frank Darabont. I love how he deals with complicated and multilayered human emotions. Thanks for discussing this great movie. And also, I didn't know that The Shawshank Redemption is America's Suryavansham 😄 Thanks for sharing that.

Jamie Bro, I would beseech you every weekend (On Friday evening) make video on best Hollywood movies so that on Saturday & Sunday we could watch those movies with our families.U know what on your recommendation i watched Die Hard ( Bruce Willis) action packed movies, first 3 parts 2 times and back to back and I really enjoyed it with my family. Yes, I enjoyed back to the future parts too and that too with my family. U know what, i love to watch Hollywood movies with family, so make sure don't mention any adult & vulgar language movies. Kubrick & Darabont are 2 directors who pulled off the King’s novels to better cinematic experience, better than reading his novels I feel. It’s a better compliment.
Pretty much. Except King despised Kubrick’s The Shining. He was very vocal in his criticism, especially of Shelley Duvall’s character and how it was interpreted and portrayed.
@@JamieAlterIndian yes he even made his version later on but poorly failed. You can’t challenge Kubrick’s sense of cinema. In the end The Shining also becomes the cult favourite of horror fans.

इस फिल्म में सबसे गज़ब बात मुझे यह लगी कि लास्ट सीन तक पहुँचकर आप पहला सीन भूल जाते हैं। यानी एक हत्यारा एक हीरो में तब्दील हो जाता है, आप उसे Admire करने लगते हैं, अनजाने में। यही सफलता है लेखक, अभिनेता और निर्देशक की।

I have seen it more than 100 times and listened it more than 250 times.
The hindi dubbed version is more effective than original language. This happens very rare.
I saw it once. Not my kind of movie.
Christopher Nolan has made that movie.

So funny that you made this video now. I just watched Shawshank Redemption again a few days ago out of nostalgia after more than 15 years since last watched it, and it reminded me why it has been my all-time favorite and probably one of the best movies ever made. But having watched Oppenheimer now, I must concede that Christopher Nolan has created a timeless masterpiece that’s surpassed everything else. It’s the best movie ever made, in my opinion. What do you think?

I can give you a very good idea for content. Go with a GoPro across indian cities like a foreigner. Talk with locals in English and then suddenly surprise with Hindi. It'll be very much fun and this idea will increase your reach exponentially.
