I can't stress this enough: the English-speaking left focuses too much in US/UK politics, to the exclusion of Europe and the rest of the world. I mention this not just because of solidarity and internationalism, but also because there is a lot to learn from the recent developments in other countries. The Corbyn smear campaign, for instance, had already happened in a remarkably similar way in Spain against Podemos and Catalan pro-independence politicians., and in Greece against Syriza.
H P Alpha True, but OP‘s point is still valid. Chapo‘s audience is international too. Nearly all my friends in the Netherlands and Germany listen to it.
@@hemantkarasala5767 TMBS is pretty cool, and Chapo recently had some interviews with journalists in Bolivia and Brasil, which were pretty good. But still there has been lots of protests and social unrest in Europe (yellow vests, catalonia) and Latin America (chile, bolivia) largely motivated by the neoliberal reforms that I think are worth paying closer attention to. In this period of global ecologic meltdown and freely-moving international capital, it's probably going to take a bit more than a protest or election in one country at a time to change policy significantly.
Too true. But even Chapo's analysis of UK politics is a bit shit at times: for instance constantly comparing Bernie and Corbyn as being almost the same irks me. Only Amber gets it right, she's actually spoke to grass roots people in the UK rather than third hand info from twitter. So God knows how well they would do with non English-speaking countries.
Yeah, that’s kind of how I feel about France. We kick and scream and protest, but at the end we’re too hopeless and cynical to ever fight reaction properly. We’re all dead but still walking around somehow.
@@kazmark_gl8652 you really shouldn't have. Even if he won the nomination they would've had the heart attack gun on standby. You will never vote your way out of this.

Gitler Pollpot hé did! He just wanted to give the public another democratic say after they had all the facts and the deal - fair no? But the Brutish voted to hang themselves.
Elizabeth "let's use the military and markets to fight climate change" Warren? No thanks. The scientists are telling us that economic planning is needed to combat climate change; markets won't work.

True. The Michael Brooks Show has an international focus. Chapo should get some of his contacts.
yeah they focus on those places cause that's where they live. It's hard not to

Funny but painful. I've truly given up on my country.

Just wait until June.
