Just one HDMI 2.1 port on an 8k TV is still ridiculous. Whoever buys one of those right now wants to be prepared for the future and at some point starting with the new consoles the higher bandwidth will be needed. 40Gbps on a 10 bit panel, just to be clear. LG is really the only brand pushing future technology in their current devices. I‘m gonna go for a CX no doubt!
New consoles and developers will not begin pushing this until 3-5 years from now. People are BARLEY recognizing 4k and the different types of HDR. People who buy 8k tvs or any tv with HDMI 2.1 are BETA testers.
There won‘t be a lot of content and this is beta testing, agreed. But if they sell this technology to the people then people should at least be able to properly use it with the hand full of content that will be available in 8k. Even if it‘s just a very simple platformer on the PS5 and the Olympics. One should bot have to switch cables for that on a TV at this price point!
I mostly trust their measurements (but also make my own conclusions/scoring). But recently they answered me that CX can not use 120Hz BFI with lower than 120Hz signal (only 60Hz BFI). But it seems to me that this is not correct. Maybe difference in software version?
Another quality review from my favorite all things tech channel! Well done my friend. What I like most about the Q800T is the stand. It seems very well made and well fit on most any tv cabinet.
Please bro don't do the typical thing and not dig into the difference the 8k upscale makes to 4k material over the native 4k TV showing the same content, don't just tell us that at 65in it doesn't matter. One because that's not true and 2 because it's up to us to decide, and as a reviewer, your providing us choices. Thanks love your videos
After using this TV for a while how does it hold up because I just bought a 82 inch version of this television after watching a reviews now I know it's a difference with LG CX OLED but is the difference really that noticeable because I had to get my TV to replace my LG OLED B7 because of burn in
You did it again. (See my LG CX comment) Please show us how to safely lift the tv from the install stand position to the tv pedestal. Why do you edit out that important step? Otherwise your videos are very informative.
Good information. I'm learning a lot here.. I have a doubt. Do qled's quantum dot filter layer expose blooming and light bleed much more compared to a conventional VA type lcd tv which doesn't have the quantum filter implementation of Samsung? Is that the case with low local dimming zones as well?
I'd like to thanks for your videos, I've really enjoyed many of them. I'm really interesting in this one cause I just got one of this from Amazon. I was debating with myself between Q90R and Q800T, finally after many readings and videos I decided to pay some more money and get it. However I will have to wait at least two week to have it at home (out of States). I'm gonna buy some HDMI cables, but I must ask to you: IS there only one HDMI 2.1? rest3 just are with eARC?
@kabramble I'm sorry to hear that none of my have burn in i have been lucky , but i know some of my friends who do , my pioneer elite plasma has a little burn in.
Not interested in 8k especially given how much more expensive it is. A bit curious to see how it performs compared to the Q90T in light of the extra zones. Otherwise, I think the biggest question for most of your subscribers will be how the Q90T, CX, and A8H compare.
HI, Im i correct that this model has less dimming zones than the Q9FN model? Even the Q900T? Q9fn had 480 local dimming zones To bad that this tv doesn't have one connect box. One of the reasons why I did choose the Q9fn. Also the contrast is much better with the older TV's of samsung than the new ones. WHY!? Same as LG made a lesser new OLED tv than the C9. CX doesn't have full 2.1 hdmi. Why do they make newer TV's with lesser specs? And they cost even more.... Is this some new kind of trend thats going on right now? I cannot understand this.
You have same question I had, my conclusion is: OLED have a wonderful black and contrast CX9 and CX are excelent sets, How ever, best for bright rooms is a QLED. Best 4K 65"from samsung is Q90R (2019) Note: I bought a Samsung Q800T cause I wanted a 800K. Good Luck!!

Just got the 900h won’t get it till next weekend let’s hope it’s good gaming wise and picture quality wise I am very picky. I have the 950h was not really that impressed only reason I’m getting a swap out because my screen has deep scratches on it so I just decided to go with the 900h. The preliminary numbers from rtings on the Q800T leave a lot to be desired. Go with the Q90T or Q90R if you want a high end Samsung TV.

Michael yup. Don’t always agree with their conclusions based upon their measurements.

It didn’t have less dimming zones. I wonder about why both companies neutered their 2020 sets too. I don’t like the trend at all

Does this work on upscale and how it does that?

None, go oled

Q80T for good PQ and the Q90T if your a bit picky.
Hello
Can you tell me the refresh rate on that model?....Samsung site says 240, but your video says 120?...thank you
The panel is 120hz. Usually when they mention 240 it’s because of motion interpolation
Thank you for info...very good video!!!
Can the samsung do 4k120fps with hdr or is it sdr like LG?
Say what, LG can do 4K 120hz in HDR. Not sure what your talking about
