Monty Hall was just a wonderful man who lived to be 97 years old. He was happily married to the same woman for just over 70 years until her death. He was very kind and giving and did a LOT of charity work over the years. Honestly, I have never heard even ONE bad thing about him, ever.
Monty Hall was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He studied to become a doctor but the University of Manitoba had a "quota" on how many Jewish students they would accept. He was denied entry despite having good grades. He then decided to switch careers and entered broadcasting and the rest is history.
Benjamin Wallace it is sad. Jay committed suicide in 1989 i believe it was. After LMAD he worked on The Joker's Wild, Tic Tac Dough, Scrabble and Sale of The Century. He will be remembered best as Monty's sidekick on LMAD though
@@ChadQuick270W Jay Stewart and Carroll Merrill made a surprise appearance on Let's Make A Deal with Wayne Brady hosting during one the show's anniversary weeks a few years before Monty died
$1,500 a weekly bus driver's salary in West Covina! Boy, that's a hell of a lot more than the $62 a week that Ralph Kramden made as a Brooklyn bus driver on The Honeymooners!
I don't ever see people getting excited like this anymore, but then again I don't watch the current game shows anymore as they're definitely not the same as back in the day...
I do love this one watching it on RUclips. But I do love 💖 The new one with Wayne Brady it's different and we all need to do something different thanks thanks be safe😊
Op. That same oyster stew from this episode... was a zonk in the 2006 DVD Game unfortunately. Plus that Picture of young Monty Hall is also in the DVD game.
Interesting that Monty could give away $500 and $1000 notes in 1975, six years after the Federal Reserve withdrew from circulation all bills above $100.

I have the most respect for Monty Hall especially with his charity work.
At the time of his passing it was estimated that Monty Hall had raised over $1 billion+ for all the charities he worked to promote
This is the Season Premiere of Season 2- Episode 40- OAD: September 16, 1972
14:41, that picture of Monty Hall would later be used in the game show, “Face The Music” as a $10,000 clue.
I love it “let’s all go to the Dairy Queen” “right now?” “Yes, right now!” 😂
That picture of Monty Hall at age 1 1\2 yrs. old must be at least 10 feet tall. Carol Merrill looks about half the height of the picture!
keep more of these old LMAD episodes coming!
A genuine $1000 bill would be a pretty cool thing to have.
Let's all go to the Dairy Queen lol. Jay Stewart is a a riot. Lol

But that was a fake tv show
The WHAT?
@ 3:04 Oooh! Dairy Queen! 😋🍦

How sweet that Jill gave Monty a kiss on the cheek.
"The happiest *hour* in television"
This sure narrows it down to 1975, too bad it's been edited down to half an hour.
G$8605 The Monte Carlo car is a 1972 at the newest, they changed the body style in 1973.
Monty hall let's make a deal classics is now officially on Pluto TV and you tube to really enjoy permently also Wayne Brady as well
I wanted to take that darn whistle.
Great show
Was in the 70s
The Chromcraft tables and chair (at 16:43) are way cool. They look like something out of Star Trek. (The original 1966 - 1969 series.)
Better than the new one.
I do love this one watching it on RUclips. But I do love 💖 The new one with Wayne Brady it's different and we all need to do something different thanks thanks be safe😊
I miss console TVs. The recliner looks like it has mange, though.

Baby Monty is adorable!
At least the referee guy has his looks.
Interesting that Monty could give away $500 and $1000 notes in 1975, six years after the Federal Reserve withdrew from circulation all bills above $100.
it’s not 1975 because the Monte Carlo is a 72.
Maybe they were just “Let’s Make a Deal” bills that the contestants would trade in later for either real cash or, more likely, a check.
These ads like Dairy Queen and others are looked like billboards.
The automobile giveaways are the best. They are now "classic cars" . Do a compilation of just the cars.or watercraft/motorcycles. #timecapsule

A young lady named Jill who wore her wet suit and a face mask on her head, do you think that she's sexy?
This is when let's make a deal was good. Now that the new host comes along, he calls it. Who wants to make a deal? He needs to get lost. Wayne Brady.
