Wow after watching this video I get more confident. Now I can fix my broken earphones wire. Why this soldier pest for how it work I don't understand that. Well thanks for making a useful video for us.
Whoa, I have never seen this method, pretty cool... I mean, hot! Soldering small terminals to small cables was a pain. When unable to twist the cables, they don't stick around well even with a holding tool. But this way of yours sounds awesome
Nice way to get a cold solder joint. The base metal needs to be heated so the solder will wet it and flow through the joint not just cover it. Take it from someone who is solder certified. Consider the electronics next time you get on a commercial jet, these boards get sent in for repairs. Ignorance gets people killed.
I doubt someone watching this video is looking to repair a nuclear reactor. While what you say is true, the audience for this video are amateurs looking to fix their charger. Chill out, man.
wow after watching this video im kinda afraid for you. don't use a cardboard stand to hold up a very hot soldering iron... oh boy that's just asking for a fire or burned fingers. dont use anything that holds the iron by the handle.. the hot metal is way more exposed. you could easily brush it with a finger, your face, or your cat. use metal helping hands tool to hold the wire while you solder them together.
Thank you, as my hands shake so much these days i will definitely be clamping my soldering iron in place!
This is absolutely an amazing technique! Thank you!
Sweet! Best video so far, I'm paralyzed and this looks like the ticket for me. Thanks
I have never thought about that. Thank u for the idea!

Great video. Shows just what I needed to know:) thanks

That is so simple. Thank you.
Thank you very much.

Wow. You make it look easy. Thanks. It is a big help.
,,,,Excellent presentation,,,,,you must be a machinist,,,,Mitutoyo tools are expensive.....
Very nice video
I have a powerful need to high five you and buy you beer. THANK YOU
Do you need flux??
Mitutoyo in the house!
Thankyou just fixed my laptop charger
It is really amazing
How do you clean the solder tip so you can do more than 2 or 3 wires? It would oxidise and develop a flux crust pretty quick wouldn’t it?
Sandpaper
What's the optimal wattage for soldering small wires?
Does solder paste ever go bad, because mine is not working as it should i.e. It's not helping in connecting rather its doing the opposite.
How is your iron tip? Is it silver or burned out? Do you clean it gently with a metal sponge?
Someone talked about this method making a flux crost at the iron tip. I don't know well enough to say
Impressive
What tip you use?
Nice! I'll give it a try next time.
Which soldering wire you ues ... what is classifiction of it?
me too
Thank you, very good
Too I had my iron upside down maybe that’s why it was so tough ugh ... thanks no body has mentioned that
Awesome

Agree. I get alot of those repairs n also work on the aerospace ind. Im ipc-610 certified also.
Tom Allen do you mind creating a proper soldering video? Or point to a great source?

And proper ventilation.
Urban student you have a problem with getting real info? Maybe you should shut the fuck up and go back to class
Nice
Is that flux mandatory
Super bro
In how may time soldering iron is heat
What i. Don't use flux
thank you..this video
Super
my problem is, iron wire NOT melting instead of drop on the floor, not melting at all, even device getting more hot.
Thanks alot bro
Nice sir
Brilliant
Fixed Iron Methods to Wire and Components
What is the solder paste for? Can it work with out it?
Harvey Specter it's flux
Good
Mere iron heat nhi hota why
whats da watt of ur iron?
but I have solid flux.
You said touch it again lol
Also thank you so much!
Omg... Is it that easy
Don't do that. Unless you have surgeon-steady hands, and 63/37 solder, this will always give you cold joints.
Thank gggg
Can i do it with quickfix paste
no you cant
