They are known as Saptha Kannigas. The Saptha Kannigas are Chamunda, Indrani, Varahi, Vaishnavi, Kaumari, Maheswari and Brahmi. They are the personified powers of different Devas. It is believed that if the devotees worship them after praying the prime deity in the temple they will be blessed with all good fortunes in life.
