To be honest and with having many years under my belt with spraying, this looks more like "solvent pop" more than fisheyes.. Solvent pop occurs when you lay on the coat too wet and not give it enough time to flash off before applying the next coat. What happens is while the first coat is still flashing off the gases if another coat is placed on top, it traps those gases and they start to release through the last coat you laid (leaving like a pop look) and it looks exactly like what you have in this case.. I sprayed mosquito repellent on the panel purposely to make the video . It's fisheyes. I said at the end of the video I did it on purpose. You should start a channel and teach all of those " years under your belt " I'm sure they would be useful. To someone

Man, that's rough. I feel you on the time crunch, gotta get it done! And yeah the work truck would come out better. That's how it always goes. The ones you don't care about come out perfect 🤕
right it would happen on the work truck that can get a little scratched up, and unless you have enough fans and sufficient airflow the garage can be a no-no sometimes , or unless you can leave garage door all the way open, in my case I was semi trying to hide from my neighbors 🤣🤣🤣 weather its them bugging me saying hey I didn’t know you know how to do that , or tripping because clear coats barrowling out of my garage window and side door 🚪 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@ 🤣🤣🤣🤣 i’ve already had one of them seeing the couple gallons of clearcoat , air compressor and few tools I have in my garage and asked me if I wanted to fix something on his car, but I’m not comfortable enough yet to take on work like that, hence the fish eyes in my garage lmao I said let me get a little more comfortable first and I’ll get back to you , practiced on my work truck came out good , and that’s when I hit the BMW to fix the faded clearcoat on the hood and the roof

What happens is while the first coat is still flashing off the gases if another coat is placed on top, it traps those gases and they start to release through the last coat you laid (leaving like a pop look) and it looks exactly like what you have in this case..
To fix solvent pop is exactly the same as you would having fisheyes with having to wait for the paint to dry and then lay on a dry coat first followed up with wetter coat making sure the last coat is tacky before applying the next coat..
I sprayed mosquito repellent on the panel purposely to make the video . It's fisheyes. I said at the end of the video I did it on purpose. You should start a channel and teach all of those " years under your belt " I'm sure they would be useful. To someone
Man did the roof of my bmw and hood in my garage and had this happen in my basecoat, was able to save the hood to come iut clean with cutting/buffing but the roof has a few dimples in it 😢 but I was on a timeframe and just had to clear it to get it done for that day 😂😂😂 ive had better luck painting my worktruck fully outside
@michaelrapozo4230 man 🥹 I know what you mean. I use to paint my neighbors cars for free to keep them happy.
@@thetriggerman954 and I’ll be honest I’m no professional painter. I just do maintenance for work and I’m pretty good with my hands so I’ve been watching a lot of your videos and a few other guys and pulled it off, hats 🧢 off to you triggermansbecause painting can be problematic and very stressful. I feel like you have to be a super patient person to work with paint , so many different variables that can go wrong if you don’t follow the right steps
What model lph 400 is the gun in this video, ld,lv,lvx?
@@SuperReddog17 it's the standard lph400 with the silver LV4 air cap 1.4
Hi Trigger, awesome video bro it was great to see a video on fisheyes as there isn't that many out there but a lot of them don't tell us the truth about the fisheye eliminator, I've heard a few people say that when you use it that particular gun can no longer be used for normal painting and you have to keep it just for using the fisheye eliminator which as we know is a load of💩🤨as you mentioned you just need to give your gun a good clean with thinners then it's ready to use for what ever you want👌🤓
Just want to wish you and your family a awesome Christmas and happy Holidays Trig and a blessed new year🎄🎅🙏John UK
Thank you John, I've already had a bunch of commenters telling me false stories. To be honest that's the main reason I really don't do much videos on the extensive knowledge that I have is because these guys seem to know it all that watch RUclips videos so I try to just stick with the basic stuff that's all over RUclips. believe me brother I have more tricks up my sleeves but some of the things I know I've learned from painters that are dead and gone and I think most of them I will just keep to myself until I am dead and gone. Have a great holiday my brother. Thank you for chiming in you're always appreciated here 🙏🏼🙌🏼❤️
Just had it happen to me 3 weeks ago sanded it and started over

Awesome
I don't even allow WD-40 in the building anymore. That caused me so much trouble and took forever to figure it out.
@@JasonBrown-es5yw yeah it's the worst when you don't know where it's coming from. I don't blame you for not allowing it in the shop. Sucks

Way back when jesus was a boy we used a product called sillicone drops for acrylic paint. I wonder how different these drops are. Same amount of ml by the look of your usage
@@paulnewton943 that's what this is. Silicone it contaminates the paint. Most likely it's the same stuff 😎
MANE,,I SWEAR
Hopefully that's a good thing 😎
how much you bench?🤣🤣 good video brother 🤘
@@lukeowens3544 I have no idea anymore 🤣 I haven't benched in over a year. Last time I tried it was 365 lbs but I'm trying to slim down. Thanks for tuning in my man 👊🏼
