You look really good on the ktm can’t wait to watch you this outdoor season!
3 seconds a lap faster in a 10 lap race that’s 30 seconds farther ahead in the nationals if you finished 30 seconds ahead of where you finished so how much better would you have finished at your last national?
It’s a good thought but in a real race it doesn’t really equate to than much time just because of all the variables on each and every lap. Obviously being on a faster bike helps for sure. But if Jeff finished behind first place by 29 sec on the Honda that doesn’t mean he would have finished in 1st on the KTM. There is no telling the lines he has to take to overtake positions or how the riders in front of him will ride to keep him behind them. That KTM is a beast tho and it will only help being that much faster
Add the competitors, the new lines made and guys ahead of you trying to slow you down.
Sean Fries to change it from 3 seconds to a minute if he gets out a cr 500
@@jensonx9752 Actually he would be more than 3 sec a lap slower on a CR 500.... 🤣🤣
Thanks for being so open about “this is a test for me on track on one day.” All that matters in the end is you feel and look amazing on that KTM and that’s that!
Jeff that whip on the KTM just made my day! Thanks! 7:30
The dislikes must be allergic to oranges
Hahahahahahahhahahahaha
Haha
Exactly
lmao
Some people that dont respect all bike brands, are the autistic ones.
Your videos @jeffwalker84 😎 are awesome. Keep them coming. Excited to see what you do this season. Enjoy the KTM; and the bike looks sick bro. All the best 👍🏻 from South Africa 🇿🇦
🔥🔥🔥
it feels like you are more confident to ride in the curves on ktm what i could see.
Keep doing what you do to be as good as you can be.
I also noticed that I'm faster on a ktm 350cc which was fastest for me and I tested 250 350 450 so 350 won for me.
Yeah I feel like he just throws the ktm around better. My buddy has a husky 250 and it’s super light so maybe that’s it
Love it man always keeping it real the best of luck to you will be watching you!!
I’m a Honda guy too but I love seeing you go fast on the KTM looking much better! Whatever works best you got to use it...
Good luck dude ! Maybe the KTM is the bike for you ! Keep pushing it ! We are ready to see you race ! No matter the bike !
Great video and I like your honesty. Just subscribed. 👍
Been watching Jeff for a while now he always seems super positive and a genuinely nice guy, something lost on most pro riders these days...keep it up👍❤️
Great job Jeff! Good luck this year!
Keep up the good work mate, ur looking super fast and I really like ur chanelle
awesome, just found your channel a couple weeks ago. i recently picked up a 2017 ktm 450sx-f factory edition. im no motocross racer though, just an average rider and been riding since i was 8. im 32 now, never had any interest in trying a track until watching you. wish i had someone i could find locally thats at your skill level to follow around that track and learn from.
Your better than I am. I wouldn’t explain myself to anybody about anything. You’ve made it known your a big Honda fan. Cool to see that the ktm is working out in your favor. Good luck this season
Love this video Jeff!!
I like how he did the overview and talked while riding. Please do that more. It makes it more enjoyable
Great video! That did cross my mind, but after I watched it to the end definitely understand and you seem like a sincere honest and very fast rider. thanks for your video, KTM looks sick great graphics wish we could’ve seen more modeling from Bridgette definitely great poster shot for KTM advertising. Lol
Proof of what 20lbs difference does to confidence.
Love the vids and I like both of the bikes
Crazy I'm the opposite I'm not comfortable on the ktm. I'm excited to see you out there this year man! Glad you found a bike you're gelling with better! Best of luck this year!
Hydraulic clutch helps out a lot on the ktm compared to a Honda there clutch is super stiff
David pelkey Honda has hydraulic clutch too
Did the KTM you rode have Full A-KIT suspension?
Jacob Berens honda doesnt have hydraulic clutches
@@Factory132z no but I bet that would have helped. Stock suspension and bar bend for me was just way off
Smokin on that KTM. Good Luck. Fingers crossed.
Looking good man. Can’t wait for outdoors to start!! I’ll see you in Colorado!!
Jeff.. wow is all I can say. I wanted to fast forward the Honda lap. You look so natural on the KTM. You haven’t even become completely comfortable on that bike YET. You’re reaching for your potential and I’m excited to watch your skill level grow and to witness your story
Good luck this year, Jeff!
Thanks Joe!!
The only one dude who take inside corner in 5th gear without problems :D
Congrats mate !
Another awesome video again JWalk i would really like to see a how to scrub vid tho but keep on ripping 🤘🤘
You seemed way more aggressive on the Ktm.
Almost looked like he want even trying on the Honda
@@vision._ he legitimately said not to do this so why would yoj still do that?
Well, because it still seems like he wasn't as aggressive, for what ever reason, maybe the Honda just doesn't handle as well here, or maybe he was used to the KTM more, traffic might have had a little to do with, different line or whatever. comfort. I was thinking he wasn't whipping the Honda the same. He definitely seem and looks faster and more comfortable on the KTM and tossing it around and all of that. etc and so on. Just observations.
@@vision._Well it looked like he was trying, but, did look alot different, handling, comfort etc.
DADSGETNDOWN he’s seems to be more comfortable on the ktm in my opinion him on crf looks almost hesitant coming around the corners idk just what I think I’m seeing
I agree with you on the orange bikes. I finally switched to a 250sx in 2017 from a long time on blue and absolutely love it. Bikes are super fast, reliable, handle great and look sweet. I think I have won just about race since switching so something must be going on.
Hey Jeff, another great video! I'm a Honda guy but I can tell watching video that you feel more comfortable on the KTM at this time, you move the bike and yourself around more while on it and the times prove it. You just gotta do you and let the naysayers have their opinions even if ridiculous. Keep up the good work.
Good for you Jeff, making your position clear to disbelievers or haters is very important, now, don't listen too much to those negative remarks, most of us believe in you.....
Bro you can literally see how much more comfortable on the KTM you are. You attack on the KTM and on the Honda you’re kinda reactionary. Glad to see you gelling with the new bike!
I’m a rmz guy. 450’s damn near impossible to find, so jumped to ktm 450. Never been happier. Not one regret in the world.
Hope you get a good season on the KTM bike Jeff, but your Honda is sick👌👍😁
3 seconds!!! Holly molly!!!! it is a LOT!!! so, cool, I'm glad you find faster bike, or actually find bike which match your stile!
Keep shredding bro ✊🏼
The KTM seems to fit you and your riding style much better. I personally am a life long Honda fan but it is what is. Good choice and I look forward to you racing.
Well said..good job
Good vid Jeff ,and you are right if you are not obligated to a particular brand ride the bike you are quickest on ,I ride for fun so I ride orange but I am sure I would be as fast or faster on another colour( i am not fast lol ) ,they are all good it’s just which bike a rider gels with, cheersD👍
It's funny I brought a 2016 sxf 450 to get away from my 2014 crf air forks but could never match my Honda lap times so i kept the honda but obviously alot has changed since then....great vid ✌
Nice video!! You definitely looked faster and smoother on the KTM!! Both great bikes tho!! 👍🏻
I love your vids your way better on the ktm 👍👍👍
Can’t wait to see you rippin the cr250 2t !!
Yo Jeff, just keep up the unbiased vids coming. You do what you have too. Lot of colors out there for all to choose from. I will always be on red. As you say, some fit others riding style better. Enjoy the opportunity to ride MAN!
Nice!
Looking smooth on the KTM
Great job!!!! You went slow for the video lol your great keep the good work up!!!!!!!! Take a walk and chill!!!
How are you feeling about the Cone Valves on the KTM? Looked smooth as butter in the braking bumps in the video, Though I know how something looks on video and how something feels can be very different! Also seems like the KTM has been getting good views on the videos, Excellent thumbnails too!
Let’s see a new graphics kit on Bridget! U one lucky guy! Nice riding too
I got Arm pump watching you on the Honda. Definitly need to spend some time on the front of that Honda. The KTM had a longer pull than the Honda. I think With some serious time with the Honda in Garage and track You'd be getting better lap times than on the KTM because you appear more comfortable on the Honda. Give your Honda Some serious love and re-shoot this video.
Agreed
Although he raced that honda last season so it is basically his preferred setup
Difference is though he upgraded the suspension for the Honda and Bought brand new forks for the KTM, The ktm/husqvarna platform might be a faster engine but for what you’re paying for the standard air forks on those things are 💩.. Either way it’s good to see Jeff improving. Keep up the good work!
Hi Jeff, I was wondering how tall you are? I also ride ktm and am curious to see if bar risers would help me too. Greetings from the Netherlands and loving these videos!
Was this recorded on may 17? Seen u riding redbud a few times in the last month but havent really seen much in terms of open riding until September.
Agreed. Unless your getting a bike provided to you. It’s not about brand. It’s about what equation makes you faster. For me it’s the Kawasaki. But I also haven’t had the opportunity to try the Ktm or husky.
Ive got mates who i ride with and they hate ktm ive had 3 and love them brilliant bikes in my eyes
You definitely looked more confident on the ktm. In corners you can see it best I think. Seemed like you charged harder into corners and the bike really pulled when coming out
Man I think u can just tell that u look a lot more comfortable on the KTM on a rough track!! I’m a Honda guy through and through , but u can tell from the video that it seems like u can attack the track so much harder on the KTM then the Honda!! And I’m curious how u like the air forks on the front of that steed?! I’ve pretty much heard that hardly anyone likes those air forks unless it’s like an A-kit set?! Or did u switch them over to spring forks?!! Keep ripping man and keep doing u brother!!!! And I wish u nothing but the best starting on July 18th!!!
Well said jeff, well said
I like your honesty. I know you are faster in the Ktm. You have your Crf fully dialed in. You have yet to have your Ktm fully dialed. Think of the possibility once you do? Keep up your hard work.
love the ktm 450sxf
Jwalk absolutely rips on that KTM holy shit
Absolutely blew by Tomac at @5:41 😂
That ktm sounds awesome
You look so good on the KTM. Looks like you aren't fighting the bike nearly as much
i know one thing for sure, i love the low end power of my 19 crf450 but i rode my buddies 19 450 ktm factory edition and that thing is so smooth when ur going through braking bumps, but doesnt have near the low end power of the honda going up hills and stuff. both great bikes but the honda will throw you around if you cant hold onto it. and the ktm is noticeably lighter when ur in the air but thats about the only time i noticed the weight difference.
The 2021 CRF450 is looking good from what i read!
What do you think of the 350 sx 2016 ? Just a thought. My first year ever riding 57
The best part of this video is at 1:55. 😆 the 2 smokers 😂
Bridg showing cheek on that ktm
awesome
What song is that at the end of your vid? I’m digging it
I know you love the Honda and would never purposely make it go slower, people are something else. Myself I ride a 2019 yz250f and I’ve always wanted to see you ride the blue bike and you have tested them. I would like to see you get on a yz250f. At the end of the day you if you start killing it on the Ktm maybe factory Yamaha will pick you up. I wish you the best no matter what bike you’re riding. God Bless
U look more smooth on the ktm, honda is still good tho
Hey, Jeff! Saw you awhile back at Fox raceway and didn't get to ask you about your ProMaster.
My MV has been an ongoing project, can you please make us a video (even if it's like 5.5-8 minutes long) going over how it currently sits now??? 🙏🙏🙏
I know I'm continually changing where things go and whatnot in the motovan.
Man who cares what color you ride your rippin on that bike keep on pushing and f***k those keyboard trolls who cares what the negative ppl say there jealous and busting balls keep up the good work look forward to seeing you in a race again
This is the energy I’m feeling. Thanks Rich, keep shredding🤘🏼
You should try Martin in Michigan it’s like a mini red bud it has lots of ruts you would like it
Man, that's such a sick setup on that KTM. Can't wait to see you out there crushing the Nationals this year. Now, hopefully...they will allow fans to the tracks to watch. Yeah, if they still ran the races without spectators..that's fine...but, it just doesn't have the same charm. But, I have to ask a hypothetical. Suppose you were approached by a rep from Red Bull Factory KTM..and then a rep, from Rocky Mountain KTM..which team, would you preferably sign with? Also, on a side note...in your opinion, what's the fastest route on Red Bud..to completely sky out Loracco's Leap? Or scrub it? thereby keeping more power to the ground? Just curious. Keep on killin' it Jeff!
To me it looked like the Honda pulled harder out of the corners but the mid corner speed was definately quicker on the KTM.
what do you think about husqvarna? And you prefer bikes with or without hand protectors?
i was honestly thinking you were slowing the honda down, but i’ve rode both bikes ktm 450 and crf 450 and the ktm just feels like you can throw it around better and it’s way more controllable
Thoughts on the KTM vs Husky 450 thing? I hear the Husky is a little more chill than the KTM all around. Softer subframe feel, softer power band. I'm a 30 year old Vet-B rider, 6'2" 165lbs. I'm buying a new bike this year but torn between the KTM-Husky, or even Kawi 450. I HATED my 2017 honda. It looked freaking sick, sounded phenomenal, but I could NOT get that thing to handle for the life of me lol. I love your channel home slice!
Get the leap...you can do it man
Hey jeff does the ktm feel more user friendly or easier to ride then the honda? I know watching a few magazines a few of them said the honda real powerful, abit to powerful at times and the only bike to crack 60 horse power while the others such as ktm and yamaha etc were cracking 57 hp on the dyno. You feel the difference in power?
Also hear about the hella light Honda’s coming out soon?
How often do you do engine maintenance such as rebuilds?
Jeff what kind of suspension do you like harder or softer?
É notório como vc mudou sua pilotagem proposital na Honda, errando traçados e com a mão do acelerador bem mole, seu mole.
What a tease! I watched the whole video so see what u like and dislike about each lol
Are the front and rear sprockets on the KTM stock?
at 7:20 i’m so sorry I was in that line I feel like u hesitated because of me being there.
Dont worry about it man! These guys are highly skilled in every area they make overtakes like butter! Just hold your line and they will do the rest, you wont bother them!
No worries at all dude, I don't mind! You held your line which is the best thing you can do. Keep ripping
Jeff Walker btw today I made the switch from kawasaki to ktm, I like the Austrian bikes way better.
You did it perfect tbh, stayed perfectly in your lane, straight line riding
Who the f would say that he would purposely go slower to show that one bike is better? That’s messed up. People are jerks, I know he tried his best, keep going Jeff!✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
The new CRF coming is supposed to be next level!! We will see
I can’t wait to try it out!! It looks awesome
You look really comfortable on the ktm
How does that low end power compare? Seems like the KTM has more bottom end power where the Honda seems like it struggles a bit out of those tighter, more rutted corners. Are you slipping the clutch equally on both bikes or do you not need to do it as much on the KTM? Great video man.
What do you feel makes the most difference between the Honda and the KTM in the ruts? Because you flowed so much better in ruts with the KTM.
Also, why where you more confident to jump into the downhill braking bumps on the KTM than the Honda on your first day on the bike?
Looking good on the KTM!
Maybe it's the steel frame having a bit of give through the corners allowing him to be more smooth and not fight the bike. Might not be just having a guess tho👍
Ktm sure does know how to play the market is all I have to say about this
Yo Jeff walker do you plan on racing at redbud on June 14 ?
What view do you use on your gopro?
I just want to Go! FAst!!! Your hilarious
Really nice to see this comparison, and thank you. From your video, it's quite clear you were riding the KTM comfortably like it's a 250 instead, while you were riding the Honda significantly slower (on several turn exits, your Honda was not even on the power band), seemingly also having quite a handful handling it (just from observing the lines you took). It is possible that this stock Honda is slower (afterall, 3 seconds a lap is a lot), however we don't really know how much time you've had on each of them beforehand (eg. do you normally ride a KTM? that you are more familiar with it's characteristics?), and also are both bike's setup dialed in to your particular riding style? Because it appears like you just "jumped onto a friend's Honda", and went for lap times. I am not pretending to be an expert at all, it's just that there are many factors/details us audience don't know about.
