@zassar yes you are right that they will not give games for free but almost all indian game have a free demo on steam. If they have a demo play it if you like it then buy it. All the above mentioned game have there free demo and if they dont have a demo than wait for reviews and gameplay if you think its your type then buy it. Mumbai Gullies is nothing but a dream for all of us. The recent gameplay gave me mobile GTA clone vibes and I really feel bad for being this behind in the gaming industry worldwide.. I do understand the importance of investment and a huge no. of employees which of course Gameon cant afford as of now on the other hand, I hope it comes out punching the faces of hates like me and becoming a new rising star. As an Indian gamer I have high hopes for this game but as a critique this is going to be the biggest mess of 2024 gaming in India
Remember people also have to buy it but Indians sadly don't have this habit. Best strategy is to launch it on consoles or launch on PC with DRM. Or cheap people will pirate it and make it a flop because they will not be able to recover their budget.

We should look at someone's craft independently from the person who represents it. This game should never have received the hype it did, especially when it's developed by a studio with no previous experience making good games. As expected, they broke the game into small episodic releases after figuring out they would not be able to deliver on the open-world scale that they promised earlier. It can be a good thing since now I assume it would be like Last of Us, or Uncharted (Like Each mission in one single release). Hope they can pull out No man sky, but I highly doubt they would have enough active player to keep engaged.

Yakuza games for the longest time had bad graphics as compared to its peers but they still succeeded because of their stories, mechanical depth and characters. Mumbai gullies so far has none of that. GTA isn't good because of the graphics, it's good because of everything else like the story, characters and dialogue.
Hot take but why do we need to have a GTA type game? Why can't we make something different and new? The gangster game space is never gonna be anything but GTA so trying to enter it is foolish. Japanese studios do their own thing and they're successful because of that.

I don't have much faith in this to be honest because this game is just trying to imitate GTA 5's success and GTA 5 is literally 11 years old but people still only watch GTA 5 vids instead of moving on trying new things. India's gaming community is f'd. I'm not saying its impossible, I'm saying it's hard. I hope it succeeds but it's going to be tough.
Even if GameEon studios made the game world and mechanics good enough, they still won't be able to deliver the story and progression system that AAA games provide. It takes huge amount of resources to create story aspect of games. In the end it will become a soul less game that provides the so called Gta mechanics to the brain dead gamers who don't know care even 1 bit about story. ppl don't realise that gta series & rdr series got hit due to their story overall, the progression of the story and iconic characters made gta games a lot more realistic than the graphics and mechanics of the game, prime example is gta San Andreas. a AAA game is much more than simple game mechanics and basic world structure. I believe GameEon studios doesn't have the resources to create a compelling story that can be compared to good AAA game. They simply don't have enough money as simple as that.

We should look at someone's craft independently from the person who represents it. This game should never have received the hype it did, especially when it's developed by a studio with no previous experience making good games. As expected, they broke the game into small episodic releases after figuring out they would not be able to deliver on the open-world scale that they promised earlier. It can be a good thing since now I assume it would be like Last of Us, or Uncharted (Like Each mission in one single release). Hope they can pull out No man sky, but I highly doubt they would have enough active player to keep engaged.

Yakuza games for the longest time had bad graphics as compared to its peers but they still succeeded because of their stories, mechanical depth and characters. Mumbai gullies so far has none of that. GTA isn't good because of the graphics, it's good because of everything else like the story, characters and dialogue.

I don't have much faith in this to be honest because this game is just trying to imitate GTA 5's success and GTA 5 is literally 11 years old but people still only watch GTA 5 vids instead of moving on trying new things. Even if GameEon studios made the game world and mechanics good enough, they still won't be able to deliver the story and progression system that AAA games provide. It takes huge amount of resources to create story aspect of games. In the end it will become a soul less game that provides the so called Gta mechanics to the brain dead gamers who don't know care even 1 bit about story.
ppl don't realise that gta series & rdr series got hit due to their story overall, the progression of the story and iconic characters made gta games a lot more realistic than the graphics and mechanics of the game, prime example is gta San Andreas.
a AAA game is much more than simple game mechanics and basic world structure. I believe GameEon studios doesn't have the resources to create a compelling story that can be compared to good AAA game. They simply don't have enough money as simple as that.
