Mr. Tim Owens: Your perspective of this beautiful song is probably the best version of the original. Your voice and interpretation of this song gives balance with ease of effort. beautifully done, Sir......
😂 yeah but he missed a key verse in this master piece: " My magical mistique, find it all complete in your lovely face "... go back and listen to ewf, phils original . God bless 🙌🙏❤💖✨♥🙌🙏❤💖
We used to listen to Tim sing solos on Oklahoma City radio at Reverend Striplings church on the Eastside. My mother was so proud then and I am still proud of you Tim. Keep up the good work. You are a real inspriration! Keep it Real...Your Uncle Bruce
Thank you so much. I'm honored to have the opportunity to perform this beautiful music with EW&F member and co-writer/producer, Al McKay. Your words make it all worth every effort that went into it Again, thank you
Not quite. Also missed a key phrase; " My magical mistique, fimd it all complete in your lovely face ". Phils voice is alittle more smoother. Good job tho'.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I truly appreciate it. It is my honor to perform this beautiful music with the incredible Al McKay who happens to also be the songwriter along with Mr. Philip Bailey.
Very Good singing, you forgot a very key phrase in this beautiful master piece. ***** "My Magical mystique, find it all complete in your lovely face"... .❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Wasn't sure if it would be as good as the original ewf group, but it was smooth... De bassman laying down some serious atmosphere in the later half.... Sweet grooving... They did my fav song justice
If i can say my opinion I would say that Tim has a warmer voice than phil's, both have very high notes, but it is more difficult to keep the low notes than the high notes right Tim? Also each singer has his own way of expressing his musical sensitivity
Thank you. Yes, you are correct. No two voices are the same. I am, (with Al McKay) just doing my interpretation of the masterpiece that Philip Bailey, Al McKay and Maurice White created. I'm honored to touch a small part of their timeless legacy.
...and noone is trying. All the done in the spirit of honoring the original music. The man standing behind me (original guitarist of EW&F) is the co-writer of the song along with the one and only Philip Bailey
Decent cover of the Original Masterpiece sung by THE Philip Bailey. And I'm very, very picky about anyone who attempts to do so! LoL. EX: Patti LaBelle's take is both disappointing and has its powerfully beautiful moments. Good, not great. ***Beautiful voice, think you missed a crescendo note there, the band and backing vocals sound good, though they play at a pace just a little bit too slow for my taste. The original perfectly balanced itself throughout while building and building its passion and message.
Thank you for your compliments and critiques. On guitar in this clip is the great, "Al McKay". He is the co-writer of the song along with Philip Bailey. This is his band of which I have been one of the lead vocalists for more than 20 years. Live shows do tend to have tempo adjustments and I have no intention on duplicating the masterful original recording. It's part of a medley and therefore truncated. Again, thank you for the compliments.
