I was seating on the top of the waterfall last month, at the very top. friends of mine have told me there are probably 500 unknown waterfalls in Mauritius. Great Video thanks! I will be moving next year my wife is Mauritian, I have visit the island 6 times.
Beautiful place. I have been to Gris Gris, but never walked along the rugged coast. I looked at google maps satellite images and I can make out many rivers originating on the higher grounds around Bois Cheri / grand Bassin area. I know the area quite well and they are full of rivers, which we call ruisseau. They all empty into the sea along that rugged coast. Surprisingly they are not listed on google maps or named. By the look of the thick walls they could have been fortifications for defence on the left flank of what used to be the Souillac port. They walls look similar to the defensive works at Pointe du Diable on the east coast. So they are most probably from the pre 1810 French colonial era.
Been to gris gris many times but never been in the nearby forest as you showed. Will try to see this when I visit on the 4th feb, Looking for some places to do shore fishing also.

@@LucyLeheilleix Love to see the waterfall but this dodgy ladder to go down is a no no for me.🤣🤣🤣
Hi Lucy. I saw a paraglider in the background. Do you have any information about Mauritius paragliding?
