I have a question about this scene related to the tune being played on tape recorder. The name of that tune is "A Walk in the Black Forest" written by Horst Jankowski who released it in 1965, and that's the question, this episode was from 1961! The original title of the piece is Eine Schwartzwaldfahrt (German) but I found no information on the release prior to 1965 including releases in Europe.
