Holy shit that "Nani" joke at 7:06 was _absolutely perfect_ Not just that, the editing on this video is GOD TIER! That **ughhhh** zoom at 0:24, and the head tracking "fifth time's the charm" right after it; just **chef's kiss**
ALSO Despite being "slap-dash put together" this car looks AWESOME! It's got this beefy early 2000's GT1 charm to it and it all fits together really uniformly, _especially_ with those rear fender exhausts
Man this new downforce system is a pain adding more downforce makes the car a deathtrap. Too little downforce and car understeers at high speed man this is complicated
If you tune it right it works mostly the same as the old system though now you dont have aero instability like you used to you can run 0 angle now and be fine if you ran 0 angle in the past youd risk becoming an aeroplane (you could also make it so it worked like DRS)
Fallout 4 - need more settlements Starcraft - need more minerals Stronghold - wood needed Kerbal Space Program - need more boosters Automation - need more wings
So then if we want a realistic looking supercar that’s actually drivable at very high speeds then we need to put an invisible wing inside the car somewhere towards the front to keep the nose down better?
@@fillman86 dang, hopefully it’s fixed then lol. I was building a hyper car for a Facebook challenge earlier this year and it was basically perfect except the downforce in beam didn’t work so I ended up abandoning it ultimately
IIRC, I got that excessive downforce warning before, like at 6:30, just because my car didn't have a wing, LOL. Was that a bug with an earlier-open-beta of Automation?
it was a system of doing downforce they were trying to use that was more accurate to what you'd see in the automation graphs. They've now started to move to an entirely new system that is even less dynamic in how it works in beamng, but seems to have none of the faults
@@fillman86 I think it is more logical to just abandon all aero profile in automation and load original ones in beamng, to be able to design the look and engine is enough at least to me
Why filmman. I didn't know you were such an aero-dynamic engineer :-p. Also, the lighting in your room makes you look like you have grey hairs. Just saying.
this vid represents how well the drag model works, when the car flips it all becomes one big airbrake slowing it down to 70KPH
lol

thanks :) I felt those jokes just flowed, so I had to edited it in
and I'm glad you got the JDM influence :D

THE CURRENT AERO MODEL IS ALL OVER THE PLACE
well we now know some more tricks to make it work the best it can :/
I had decent luck with a gt3 sort of car, but at most it was maybe 900kg total downforce

@@EkaiMin huh drs type downforce how
7:08 okay this got me :D, great video!
haha I'm glad you liked it :)
All your cars for study look like they came out of ps2 racing games and I love it.
XD haha I can't tell if that's a good thing or not :P

Stronghold - wood needed

Ye😅
Man, I'm making a Le mans car, this helped a lot! thank you!!
oh it's updated since this, it's now basically a 1:1 of what you see in the graphs in automation
@@fillman86 hummm, thanks!
bring back friday pikeday and put all your new F1 and aero experimental cars up the mountain!
oh god the nightmare!!!

you have to make a balance... but this is all up in the air now, as they just dropped a new update that should change everything -_-

Another one! Nice
thanks, I also hope it was helpful for you :)
HOTLAP! HOTLAP!! HOTLAP!!!
haha I'll do it again when I have a well tuned car, not a thrown together car like that :P
Flight Simulator accept it's with cars... 9:31

I don't get it

120 wings is rookie numbers
haha I didn't count how many wings I had
lots of wings 6:40
lua error 6:57
haha well hopefully the new fix does a better job :)
Bug: A Lua-related error is likely to occur when you hit exit without going to the main menu. What was a more recent version of Automation.
why I do not get extra downforce when using more wings
it's a tricky balancing act.... all I can say is, "good luck" :(
the devs really have stuffed up the game, and keep making it worse

why dont you color grade your camera footage?
