- The gold you find on the last day of prospecting at the end of the season is always a little bit sad. This spot is a higher elevation location and soon the snow will be on the ground up there, so my gold was the final gold from that spot for 2024.

But really I did well on my last day, so I will for sure be back in 2025 once the weather warms up a bit. Until then I'll do research, look at the area on Google Earth and think about it and make plans for more big gold next year.

Chris, I really hope and pray that all is well with you and your family.
You know, the end of your season, is the end of my season. I can't go out and rockhound anymore... I'm just too broken to be able to get out anymore, so I have to watch you and Jeff go out and do your thing, just wishing I was out there doing the same things that I used to do.
God bless you, my friend! And God bless all of you that are able to get out there, as well as those that can't.
Soon, we'll be walking on streets of gold, looking at gates made of pearl, seeing all of the gemstones of the Almighty God.
Much love to you all!✝️😎❤
Pretty confident things will be better for us by next spring. Keep praying, keep as strong as you can, live justly, love mercy and walk humbly with the Lord.
Hey Chris! Sorry about your family struggles. Hope everything works out! I bouggt your book and have been reading it. It's fantastic! Thanks for what you do!
Pretty confident things will be better for us by next spring. Glad you are enjoying the book.
Great book man!! Thank you so much!!!! I got it from you not so long a go and I am reading in it almost every day!!!! Keep the video's coming!!!! Hi from Pieter Meulendijks. Amsterdam - The Netherlands
Glad you enjoy the book! I plan on continuing with videos for the long run.
That sure is some handsome gold Chris ! Stunning pieces 😍⛏⛏🎧
The nuggets from this spot are really pretty and nicely crystalline.
The only gold I consider sad is that which I haven't found 🤣
Its a little sad when you have a good last day of the season and it will be months before I return.
Sweet looking Nuggets !!!!!!!
Thanks, they do really look great.
Wish you and your family well, Chris
We should be OK in the long run.
Your videos are great. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I've been self studying geology. Gold has been on my list to study. 😊
My pleasure to share knowledge and I am glad you enjoyed the video.
Thanks for the show hope everything goes good with your family
Very nice nuggets
I have your book and I’m absorbing it now have enough equipment for a good start I’m retired now from the trucking industry and I’m looking forward to my next chapter as a prosecutor doing my research now and hope to be out in the field soon I’ve got a lot to learn I’m diving in deep but just scratching the surface any gold I find will be a bonus I’m looking forward to just getting out
Pretty confident things will be better for us by next spring. Best of luck to you in your prospecting.
Man they are beautiful pieces Chris . Real winners there! Congrats again my friend! 😊
Thank you kindly. Glad you liked the video.
Wow ! Very nice crystal gold ! You must be on a reef ? Are there any lode deposits nearby ? Congratulations on a great season. Nice haul ! Best to you and family. Hope things work out !
There is a lode mine maybe a mile away but not all gold comes from something that looks like a quartz vein. This gold has not gone anywhere and comes from a shear zone that has some quartz but does not look like a quartz vein.
Very nice Chris! Good last day for 2024. I’m hoping to go to the Gold Basin around Thanks For Giving.
Good luck! Glad you enjoyed the video!
GOSH just getting ready for new ground over here. We been out playing in the krick at 13f pans freezen over huge fire on the bank still getting the gold lol. Hope you can get out early next year. Take care of family first!
Thanks. Sounds great!
lol, yes. Our lease is 900klm from our home. Getting up there is relegated to three two week trips a year. The last day is always sad and we always seem to have a good day on our last day.
But you are probably really glad when you get back the nest year.
Most prospectors unfortunately will only dream of being able to pull nuggets like these. Even one is a huge reward! Well done Chris. Not going to lie I’m envious
I was pretty happy with this gold too. It will be months before I return, but I am looking forward to it.
Well done on your Detecting find..
Cheers Famo59👍⛏️
Thanks 👍
Pretty nuggets, I like the one with quartz.
They are really pretty.
Wow, just in the forest duff just weathered out of past overburden, sitting on /in surface "bedrock ".❤❤
Where dud you say this is😊
Its in the northern Sierra Nevada. Its not really in any kind of bedrock, its just weathered country rock and has traveled only a little or not at all.
Good prospect.... The hunt continues 😁
You got that right!
That nugget is pretty sharp there might be a source close no ?
The source is pretty much right there. But not everything that sheds gold looks like a quartz vein.
@ChrisRalph okay cool 😊
Amazing gold
The nuggets from this spot are really pretty and nicely crystalline.
A great hobby! I need to go with you and bring my mini excavator...........................grin
I wish I had permission to use an excavator.
Hi Chris! Nice gold! You did good! FYI, it looks like the ICMJ Magazine is out of business. I haven't received the last 3 issues, and I'm paid up until April 2025. Check out the discussion at Steve H's Detector Prospector forum. Best wishes!
I just checked it out the forum thread and posted a response.
Panjang umur dan sehat selalu prof, anda sangat berpengalaman, saya banyak mendapatkan pelajaran dari anda, terimakasih banyak dan saya selalu menyaksikan video anda...salam hormat saya dari indonesia 🙏🙏🙏.
Thank you for the kind words.
This video is just cool!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Winter weather means time to start lifting weights, get yourself in shape, research new spots and get gear ready for next season
Yep, That's the plan!
Is there a metal detector that plays music instead of that squeak. Could make prospecting even more fun? Recently purchased your book and hope to join a local prospecting club and get the grandkids into the fun🤞
Nope, no musical detectors. There was one that played music when nothing was being found but beeped when a target was found. Very few of them were made.
Please come to Africa with that knowledge it will gain you alot
Already been to West Africa twice.
Hello, our dear professor. Do you have the steps for extracting gold with cyanide, for example, a book or a video? Thank you
I have a video - look on my old videos.
Well 2025 will get here before you say gold. Shoot Thanksgiving is almost here. Unless your working time fly's so fast. Hope everything turns out okay for you and your family and ill look forward to future videos especially the new metal detector.
It's higher elevations, so I need to wait to at least May for the snow to melt.
So jealous that the real happiness, I want to trade my life with your.
There are always opportunities in one form or another.
So what is the closest lode mine, relative to the nuggs you found?
Maybe a mile away but not all gold comes from something that looks like a quartz vein.
@@ChrisRalph So what, in your opinion, did the Au come from? Have you ever heard of nuggets forming in fault gouge?
💛...hey mr ralph...maybe you can find happiness with brother jeff of the desert...can you dig it?...
I've offered.
Where can I sell my ore? It's quartz with visible gold.
Its a complex question. If it has lots of visible gold, it can be sold as specimens. If only a little, there are essentially none who will buy your ore. There are custom mills who will process your ore for a fee, but you pay their fee no matter what comes out. And you have to haul the ore to their custom mill.
Hi Chris: I enjoy your show and explanation of these things. I don’t like your commercials. I don’t need to hear about rock hard stimulation. That’s the last thing I want to hear about.
Rock hard stimulation leads to BIG nuggets.
I hope you know that I have no input on what ads are served to you. This is 100 percent controlled by RUclips and they serve what they think you would be interested in.
I am a veteran miner. Steve Greene Alaska Miner. Or Steve Greene Gold Miner. Seen it all. Gold is expensive scrap metal that turns men into fools. Zzzzz
Yes some become fools, but not all. Some keep their heads and do well. and see my comment on the advertisments too. I have no control over them.
Seems like most of the time you prospect alone.
My dad was with me on almost all these trips and a few I had a buddy along too. They are just not on camera.
