2024 Sick New World 10 Minutes of Bands Playing

- This is some phone video that I shot while I was at Sick New World 2024. My favorite performance was Slipknot, so there is a bit of them. It was great to see Static-X again.... System of a Down was great again too. I really like A Perfect Circle - although I was surprised they were at a metal show, it was great to see them again too. Even though their equipment didn't make it to the show. Here is a list of the bands that I saw and have some video of in this video.
System of a Down, Slipknot, Bring Me the Horizon (with BABYMETAL), Sevendust, Static-X, Bad Omens (with Poppy), Alice N Chains, Taproot, Powerman 5000, A Perfect Circle
I will probably put each band up here in their own videos with whatever footage I have and not really cut it up.

It is just Vegas. I have been here and went to shows for 25 years. It is just something that happens here. Smaller venues usually will get more pits for a single artist.
Was there front and center main stage most of the day and for system of a down. Best festival Ive ever been to.
There were the 2 main stages on the left and right... No center stage though... Weren't you there? LOL
Yep. I was in the vip section at the gold stage most of the day. Right up front where they were handing out water bottles. Any other questions?

I did not see them. I didn't see any of the bands on the Diablo stage. I was bouncing between Gold, Red, and Spiral trying to see as many of the bands I wanted to as possible. They need to make the fest 2 days, so you can see everyone.

I miss shows before phones... I thought last year's SNW was phone heavy, but this is egregious! I'd rather go to club shows with local & regional bands and talk to strangers between sets. I don't ever want to see live music through 50+ other people's phones. I'll take a couple of pictures discretely, but only certain bands, and literally 2-3 pictures. I get to relive each performance when I think about how fun the gig was... It's going to sound and look like shit most places at a festival that big... you're just blocking people's views and taking away from the community of the festival. Fuck everyone with their iPhones above their heads. I'm glad Jack White and Tool and others have a no phone policy. Does anyone remember Hackey sack circles between bands? Or am I just a young old fart?
Oh, could you imagine being at work and you turn around in your cubicle, and everyone you work with is taking a video? You're there to watch these phenomenal musicians display their craft and half the crowd is paying attention to see if they got the stage in frame; explain to me how that's enjoyment/ appreciation‽

LOL... That's BABYMETAL. That's my reaction the first time I heard them this winter. They played there on one of the side stages.

Weakest festival crowd I’ve seen.
Yeah. Vegas doesn't usually have crazy pits. And if there is one here, they are at the smaller venues.
@@ajpaganophoto yeah because I just was in Wilmington Delaware for inflames and the pits were better lol.
Went there last yr had a f’n blast, but it’s more like a one and done thing. 80,000 ppl impossible to move around if your close to the stage and you have to go to the bathroom good f’n luck your peeing on yourself.
There were more people this year, but the bathroom was not bad. We didn't get to be as close to the stage, but we were also bouncing around every stage until Bring Me The Horizon and we stayed between the main stages at that point. It wasn't great, but it was still pretty good.
Yeah they did a very good job on the bathrooms I was impressed. I waited less than 5 mins it’s like a warehouse of bathrooms and it was f’n clean too. They had probably 5 ppl cleaning

Yeah... I know. Just enjoy the video, some incels were complaining before about it and RUclips removed their comments because they either were offended or offended by someone. It was a great fest though...did you go?

This is a festival crowd. Much different from most shows at actual clubs and theaters.
Again, festival crowds are terrible.
European crowd are 80X better than American crowds. Yall go 100%. This is from an American. I guess I don’t understand why any of these bands had a silent crowd. (Aside taproot)
@@Magdalena8008s yep and in small venues in Vegas, it is better. Vegas doesn't go crazy at shows... It gets crazy elsewhere in town. Golden Knights games are nuts though.
@@jcdevelopment I think the audio wasn't that great from my phone for the noise and where the festival was. Taproot was loud because his mic didn't work for the first song. LOL. They went crazy when we could hear him again.
Most festivals are really laid back and chilled. At arenas/smaller venues is where its at. Plus I thiink Americans are a little spoiled as we get more chances to see bands than others overseas. So you guys just bang harder as in my opinion I could see say Slipknot 4 or 5 times before they even head overseas. Just my opinion
Why does Slipknot’s audio always sound shit compared to other bands? Their live mix is horrible.
Its too loud, and the drums are too strong for the mic to handle. In the concerts its clean
I think the showmanship made it bad ass, but it's a weird place to play... I've been there a couple times and it is just weird acoustics.
Alot of people hated this lineup due to static-x and SOAD blowing slipknot out of the water.
This show was lame not because of the bands, you had kittie, Apc, slipknot, sotd, static-x, AIC, Sevendust, but because the crowd was so lame. Not to mention they're in LV. Now i get why maynard hates fans recording their shows.

Nah.... It is just a Vegas thing. I have lived here for 25 years. The crowd is just crazy at Golden Knights games. Shows not so much.
