We really just have one goal - to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

THANK YOU ❗️ - Развлечения
I am recovering from Stage four cancer and my appetite is come and go. These videos encourage me to get back into the kitchen and cook. I’ve always loved cooking for my family. My kids love the fresh and creative ideas I’ve learned to from watching them. My three year old is very picky from time to time but with your help she eats more and more. Thank you for your videos.
When I was recovering from cancer, my first 'back on my feet' activity was to cook for the family. I couldn't eat much but it gave my brain something to do. I learned the mother sauces, French, Indian, Chinese, Cajun, American BBQ, and authentic Mexican. Best of luck!
Hope your recovery goes well.
hoping for a speedy recovery
God Bless You Sir. Stage Four Cancer is rough. You can get through it! I was given 60 Days to live back in 2016 with Stage Four Cancer.
I am still here almost Eight years later.
❤️❤️❤️
*internal scream* "you forgot the dog!!"
🫣
For me it was .... Wait, where's the dog? Was the "pastrami" a sliced-up deep fried hot dog? Nope, Sam forgot the dog! 😂
@@Malyard Pastrami does taste like hotdogs though.
For a second there I thought Sam was going to unhinge his jaw and get the 3rd dog a bite! A bit like watching some horror movie! LOL 😆🤣😂😜
What attachment do you have on the torch in the background?
You can never have too many hot dog recipes. These look amazing!
Only Sam could make a hotdog, forget the dog, and still make it look delicious!! 😂 ❤
We call them Rippers in New Jersey. Rutt's Hut in Clifton is the best! Cash only, and you'd better know what you want when you finally get to the counter.
Rutts Hut is liked by Noobs only . it Sucks ! If you aren’t going to Hirams you are rating crap !
No hate on Rutt’s Hutt, but gotta agree on Hiram’s.
Noobs? Born and raised, East Brunswick. Rutt's Hut is the OG. I'll give you Hiram's and raise you Hot Dog Johnny's in Belvidere.
@@richreilly554 never tried hot dog Johnny’s, only even been to that part of Jersey 2 or 3 times. What kind of dog do they use, pork, beef, mix?
Why do their dogs all look so wrinkly?
Btw, I’d also hot grill over Rutt’s Hutt. Props for them being OG and their relish is awesome, but other places make a better tasting dog. RH is just too bland and cannot stand on its own.
I don't see anyone mentioning the corn relish??
Sam’s GIF game went up 1000% this episode haha
Lmao forgetting the dog was the absolute best moment in STCG history 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
In the 60's & 70's my Parents had a restaurant on a New Jersey Boardwalk. We deep fried all of our Hot dogs!!! Occasionally my Father would make two 1 inch cuts to the end of the dogs BEFORE frying.....the ends would curl up and keep the chili from falling off the dog !!!!
I like that idea. Just cutting around the circumference of the dog?
@@RRr-yl8zrNo
@@RRr-yl8zr NO......cut an X pattern into the END for one inch !!!!! (as if you were splitting a log )
I love when food transports you back to memories. Such a wonderful thing to look back on.
@@hdrvman so it's like you're making a squash Blossom at the end of the hot dog,😁
when i was a kid, my dad always cooked hotdogs this way, and they're amazing... now that i'm living on my own, i'm proud to say i've continued my dad's tradition...
HELLO SAM
COULD UOU PLEASE RECREATE THE WENDY’S DOUBLE 🥨 BACONATOR ?
Cheers from Miami
@@JohnHausser heeeeeeey, good suggestion!!!
It isn’t your dad’s tradition he took the idea from someone else.
@@MikeR65 shut up.
@@MikeR65 well, i wouldn't be able to ask him if came up with it or not because he's dead...
Sam just making a little Reuben on a hotdog bun instead of a Reuben dog 🤣🤣
@08:10, I said where's the Hotdog & @08:16, Sam says, "I Forgot The Dog!" ~ LMAO!!! 😆😂🤣
Best part was watching Sam take a bite of each one
👍🏼
😂
😯
Looking good but I couldn't get any of them in my mouth
You should do a hot dog battle with Ballistic BBQ!
This is by far one of my favorite cooking channels. Never misses
Recently moved out and already have the 7' Nakiri and the 4' pairing, would love a new bread knife! Thanks for everything!
In NYC, the carts have 'dirty water' hotdogs. Th onions are called red onions.
then what the fuk do you call actual red onions ? :D
But some people just like to call them what they are
When I heard the snap of the second dog, I knew I had to have that in my life pronto. Heading to the store right now!
lol!
I'm going to have to try this. My son (9 years old) and I watch you every week. We make dinner together for the family every Friday, your recipes are always his go to for choosing what we should try and make.
Love this! I’m 52 and enjoyed cooking with my parents when I was young. Great bonding time and lifelong skill development! Plus when they grow up they can make you great food too. 😄
So now I have to try some fried hotdogs. This is why I love watching your videos. Things I would never have thought to do.
Best Hotdog I ever ate was at a Woolworths lunch counter as a kid. They more or less deep fried them in butter on a hot flat top and them put them on a Toasted Lobster Roll bun. They were fantastic. Unfortunately where I live I have never been able to find Lobster Roll buns in order to try and recreate them.
That is one awesome childhood memory. Haven't heard their name in years. Well, wait a minute, there is of course the Woolworth Building here in NYC, but as their store name, yeah, it's been years. Did you get any toppings with that dog?
oh man loved woolworths lol, im old lol
Reminds me new york world's fair 1964, 1965 not dogs at Brass rail were amazing
Eating that second dog had me dying for a sec
gif-worthy
The struggle was the realest right there, and at that point, I headed straight to the comments!
These look great, we plan to try them. We usually wrap the bacon around the dog when we deep fry.
I worked for a Chicago inspired pizza house in high school. Every hotdog was fried every time. I’ve been doing it ever since. Total win.🎉
Yeah, I got introduced to these as a kid growing up in New Jersey! We call them Rippers, because they aren't properly done until the skin rips. So good!
Yeah the rippers remind me of picnics as a kid. Central NJ and summertime there was something going on every single weekend. Best part about it was creating the hot dogs to your liking!
My left arm just tingled
My right hand is clutching my chest
I caught all of that. 😉. Now maybe Mom or other ladies can be making some new recipes for me to try 😁😉
😮 But fuck me, I don't know anybody that has a deep fryer! 🤯
Oh shit! Say what? 🤪Oh hell what's going ?! Oh Crap! 😮. Oh well I guess it doesn't matter. Mom's not going to be reading any damn comments? 🙄
And she doesn't have a freaking deep fryer anyway. 😝😛😉
You MAY try again next time 😛😅😉
Anyone else smell Burnt Toast?
I'm choosing to believe it's over-toasted buns, not time for The Home.
@@RRr-yl8zr Do you have a Dutch oven or other somewhat deep pot (though you want smaller then a stock pot)? You can just fill it with a couple inches of oil and do it on the stove top.
I am very pleased that there was sauerkraut involved in this...I LOVE sauerkraut on hotdogs!
Suggestion; fry cabbage sliced in 1/4 to 1/3 inch pieces in the bacon grease (it should be crunchy after sautéing) and use this instead of sour kraut.
It’s absolutely delicious.
thanks
Sam - if you're ever in New Jersey there's a place called Rutt's Hut that exclusively does deep fried dogs. Order couple rippers and enjoy. Place is an absolute institute.
When in Clifton Rut's Is a must stop. Gotta add their special relish!
He showed rutts
I’m a lover of charcoal grilled hot dogs, and they have to be Sahlen’s. But seeing these deep fried dogs might make me a convert. The dirty onions are definitely going in my repertoire.
I was that guy screaming, " Sam, the dog dumb ass." 😅😂 nice one guys
My lack of a deep fryer makes it difficult to deep fry things but I want these. Thanks for the simple homemade Russian dressing recipe
The dog game just leveled up in this household. Thanks for the great recipe. Ps that second dog made me laugh a bit lol
Your hotdog recipes are amazing! I can never just eat a regular hot dog anymore. Sour cream and scallions all the way! Now these yes!
3 different rippers, all of them look great! i'm meal planning for the weekend already.
The Reuben one is a must try for me. Awesome!
Thanks for pointing out these can be done in an inch of oil. I don't have a deep fryer. My guess is the flavor profile is not the same if air fried or grilled though. All 3 looked great!
If you're shallow-frying, you'll get some great marking on the dog from sitting on the pan.
All three look delicious! I think I would like the third one he tried the best. I'm making one tonight when I get home from work!
Recipe suggestion I have every breakfast:
3 Fried half corn half flour tortilla, your sambal chicken (from your spicy chicken tacos video), then topped with 3 eggs (with chipotle chili powder) spread across the 3 tortillas, then top with Cotija cheese and cilantro. DELICIOUS!!! Love your videos! Thanks Sam, Max and Chance!
Always used to make them deep fried, with fries, cheese and egg +/- mujdei (romanian garlic sauce). A sort of poutine if you will
Dude, don't ever change. I always look forward to watching your videos. They always bring me joy.
Those look awesome! I like a basic Chicago dog. Will try deep frying. I guess natural casing is the best for this.
Instead of saying “Mother may I?”, use “Honey, Hush!” Gotta say it with a southern twang. Thanks Sam!
I really think these look great! Can't wait to try them out. Don't know which one I'd like to try first.
I worked at a Sonic Drive-In years ago. I would fry the dogs, butter/toast the bun on the grill, grill onions & jalapeños, chop bacon and add it to chili... then assemble and top with cheese. Ultimate footlong coney.
Bullshit. I've been to two Sonics in lower Michigan and their dogs were all pre-sealed and packaged. Wtf is that. Microwaved in a sealed packaged.
HELLO SAM
COULD UOU PLEASE RECREATE THE WENDY’S DOUBLE 🥨 BACONATOR ?

@shmirginhymer1867 damn that sucks lol I worked at sonic in Texas and we also fried our dogs very often during busy hours to keep up lol taste better imo
@@phillherup Wth! We got ripped. We've never been back because it was such horrible food, and the experience itself was just bad lol
@@shmirginhymer1867 I think commenter meant when he or she was making their own hot dog 😂
Every time we have hotdogs at my house, I am the only one that HAS to have sauerkraut on my dogs. When I saw the Reuben-dog, I started drooling uncontrollably. My God that looked delicious!!
At a charity event, I introduced sauerkraut on dogs to Californians and they sold out.
Your videos are like a treasure trove of recipes that I all want to make.
Love it! Will try this weekend! I make 1 of your recipes every weekend for my kids! They are amazing!
The Reuben and bacon cheddar ones look 🔥!!!
The pop in the bite so amazing 👏🏼
Made my own version of a Reuben dog and it turned out great. I always appreciate the inspiration!
I started cooking recently to get into the habit of making actually good food. And your videos inspire me to deviate from the recipes and make my own thing. And it’s been amazing. Thanks Sam and Co.
Love your cook ups, I’ve been binge watching your videos since I found your channel. Awesome interaction with your viewers and love how you and the crew Max and Chance are on at each other. Love you guys!!
Happy Monday
I have to try these. Something about that style of bun is so much better than cut the other way
SUGGESTION. WV Slaw Dog. You’ll love it. Love all the good stuff you cook, grill, bake. I’m watching your videos every day.
There's a special brand of fryer dog that places on the east coast use. A regular hot dog isn't the same.
What's the name of it? Please
@@stevetoth4765I’d love to know too!
You're thinking of Sabrett
@@RawRealRetail Thank you!

Deep Fried Dogs Wow this will be fun to make when my kids come home to visit Pops. You've inspired me to keep cooking and appreciate sharing with friends.
Chili on the cheese dog would be a home run.
Haven’t watched in a year, maybe even 3, but now I remember that yall are the best cooking show out there. Nothing too fancy but crazy good food and a fun watch
My favorite part of any episode is Sam forgetting something! 🤣
With Graze closing we need a video on the mashed potato flat bread that was so bomb
Max saves the day once again ! 🤗🤪
I love how tall it is. No bullshit, just a guy cooking like we all do mistakes and all
Love it
Sam, I have lived. In New York State for 60 years now have never had a deep-fried hotdog so I was doing the background check on them. What I found is they called a ripper and they come out of New Jersey unless I miss something anyways they still look good and I may try your recipe, but I’ve never had one. Keep up the good work.
OMG!! Am so going to try this. Loving this in Germany!!
I think the one in the middle with the cheese sauce, bacon, and crispy onions would be what I would go for! But I certainly wouldn't be opposed to the other two!
May: make a Porchetta, that is a pork shoulder inside a rolled pork belly, with no bones. Or a special cut of the pork belly that includes the pork shoulder still attached with no bones.
Season with salt, pepper, dried rosemary, and lemon zest. Cook in the oven at 300f until done, and then at 500f until the pork skin has crisped up. When serving, attempt to cut it kind of thin, and then chop up any of the pork cracklings.
Put it in a toasted Italian seasoned focaccia or ciabatta roll, with green salsa Verde.
Green salsa Verde is like red salsa, but made with tomatillo instead of tomato.
Dip the sandwich into some yellow mustard when eating.
I have made the bacon cheese one by wrapping the dog in bacon first then deep frying it. Add a beer cheese sauce with a pretzel bun.....AMAZING !
I was hoping for a Rutt’s Hutt relish recipe as well. But I’m inspired, will try this soon. Thanks Sam.
Have to say that "dirty water" is not the finest marketing term ever invented. Kudos to Sam for recovering from missing hot dog incident brilliantly 👍
I was gonna skip this video because I’m not a fan of deep fried hot dogs but I’m glad I watched. These look GREAT!
Sam: I get them fairly long hotdogs from Costco (Amylu brand). I start them off in a frying pan then add thick sliced onion. After 1/2 cooking I add vinegar and water and basically boil them till dry to finish cooking. Then add to a decent hotdog bun (not the normal shite) with whatever you want on there with it. It's kinda like they do them in Denmark. Pretty good, give it a try.
These look pretty good but the very best hotdog is the one that gets scoohched over on the grill and forgotten about until it's just almost burnt. With some mustard and pickles. Yum
Forgetting the hotdog-cracked me up! I didn't notice until it was mentioned. hahaha!
Awesome! I have to try all 3! I am predicting I will like the Reuben the best.
Test if there is much difference between milk/buttermilk/water for fried onions
Love the quick easy recipes, I have made most of them
those look amazing. ive been craving the costco $1.50 hotdog
I’m excited to try deep frying them, nice choice in toppings! At some point I’d like to see you make stuffed shells, with your spin on it!
After years of watching, I did finally get a chance to visit Not Not Tacos on a business trip to San Diego recently. Everyone should make that pilgrimage if they get the chance!
100% right deep fried dogs are legit. They are almost as good just as deep fried when fried in a pan (bacon grease of course!)
Once again getting hungry while watching and now a trip to the kitchen is needed! 😅
Rutt's Hut was LIFE growing up in NJ. The chili on the dog was better than any hotdog chili ever.
I love hot dogs, and these look great, but "dirty water" is more than just ketchup, salt, pepper, and onion flavor. It also is standard to add cumin, red wine vinegar, garlic, and nutmeg. I think the bacon cheese dog looked the tastiest, but I'm a sucker for cheese sauce.
First video I watch and I’m hooked going to make this for my family for Saturday night
That bacon cheese sauce is killer. Definitely gonna try that! I love deepfried hotdogs, something about it being blistered and split with crispy skin is so great.
I love the idea that if you accidentally add a little too much onion powder, you must increase the other ingredients accordingly, and each mistake along the way results in a stock pot ready to serve an army.
Yes, I was one of the people yelling......"where's the hotdog?" 😂 Definetly trying these!
The way he throated the 2nd shaboing boing was crazy work sam 😂
Every dog has its day just not always on this show
Definitely trying these!
Sam forgetting the dog on the rueben one, that pastrami alone would've still made that bun taste amazing. All of looked great Sam. The bacon cheese one needed a second or third bite 😂
Peanut oil and a natural casing dog on a griddle works amazing as well, but as a mainer you need the split top bun, now give me my free knife lol. Great content as always
Nailed IT!! I was screaming "you numbnut" where's the Hot Dog!!!
You make frying look pretty comfortable, I might have to make the move and finally try it.
I love Rueben sandwiches and now you have expanded my culinary world into Rueben deep fried hot dogs!!! You are the king!!!!!
At first I thought he chopped up the dog for the Reuben...I was like WTF? They all look great!😊
Sam...you've got the most creative recipes
Ngl, those dogs look heavenly.
