I have the same setup on my 2018 Crosstrek. I wanted a semi-agressive, year-round tire that would enhance my Crosstrek's looks and it's capability. They did both beautifully. I just used the stock center caps, and they've all been secure to this point and look great. Let me tell you, the thing with this wheel and tire setup is an absolute beast for on-road winter daily driving. I've driven around in over a foot of snow (about the most we've gotten in the last couple of years where I live) and it is absolutely rock solid in the snow.
Hi guys, I know it’s a little bit late but I really appreciate your videos especially the ones with Crosstreck XV. I was having a difficult time searching for the best tire and wheel setup without the lift. I wish I can show the setup to you. Thanks guys. Keep it up
4:32 I had my heart set on a Taco for a long time but the cost of one of these new or at least like new is somewhat more realistic for me and this shot sold it.
Nice Ride Bro! Hey im planning to do the same on my Nissan Rouge , on the highway , do you feel any difference with the all terrain tires? Also during the rain, does grip better than all season tires?
I have the same setup on my 19 Crosstrek. Method MR502 with 215/75R15 BFG KO2 Swapped my stock black center caps to the Method MR502s with no problems. I also got the RokBlokz Mudflaps, from Amazon, they do mount to the stock splash guards with no rubbing at max turning forward or backwards.
Hi, thanks for your video. Is it just removing one tire and putting the other on? or do you need to change the suspension or other items? Thanks a lot!
Nice set up! I got a 2016 crosstrek and im about to do the same setup just slightly different rims amd tires. What part of of Arkansas do you live in? Just curious?
Hey man great video! Glad to see another off-road Subaru in AR!! Curious how the set up has been treating you, Any problems with running, irregular wear, MPG drop, road noise etc. I’m looking at putting this same set up on my 2015 FXT but want to be 100% sure before I make he purchase. I’d love any feedback you have
Ride perfectly! Hardly noiser than stock. Don't really lose any MPG either. It's basically the same size as factory, so no real increase in overall size, just different tread and sidewall.
I added the KO2s and Method wheels on my Crosstrek and I also added splash guards and still everything splashes on the side of my car and side mirrors , my car is pearl white so I see everything. Do you have the same issue?
@@ArkansasOffroad no problem thanks for the reply. I get the impression that the TPMS are generic in a way that they can be programmed for multiple cars. Which is a good thing.
Wow, those wheels and tires look great--love the color on the Crosstrek, also. I am thinking of either a Forester or Crosstrek with all-terrain tires to replace my current 06 Sequoia--love the design of the Crosstrek but like the space of the Forester.
Did you have a bunch of crap in the back of the car in the first half then clean it out? I ask because rear fender clearence looked half that of the front at first then on the road shots it looked even. My wife kinda bombs hers like a rally car up our 14 degree rutted gravel drive and I dont want rear fender rub when the suspension travels.
Hey I have a 2013 Subaru crosstrek with the same exact wheel/tire specs and I rub a little on the inside plastic fender liner but the second gen crosstrek definitely fit them better since they come with a bit more space
Did you guys change the suspension or does the car feel a lot slower? Thinking about switching my rims and tires not sure if putting more stress on the engine.
We didn't put any lift on it. Stock suspension. The wheels and tires make no difference at all with speed. It drives the exact same as stock. Tires are the stock size.
I actually gained .1 mpg according to the vehicle gas mileage tracker. Lol. Even if there is a loss of 1mpg as mentioned above...totally worth it to me for what you get.
@@ArkansasOffroad Thank you! What's the trim for the Crosstrek? Will this wheel/tire combo work on a limited since the stock wheel size is 18" vs the 17" stock wheels on the base and premium trims?
@@nathanvatah I'm actually not sure on that. I read somewhere that the 15" rim is too small and interferes with the brake rotor/caliper. Not sure on the model/year though.
@@ArkansasOffroad wow. Just bought one of these cool little rides for my 16 year old daughter. First thing she asks for, tires, suspension, rooftop tent. 😎

I came to the same conclusion. Bought a 2018 2 months ago and have no regrets.
Great upgrade. Your Crosstrek looks awsome. I hope to get that set up soon. Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic look finished off with the sprayed black caps. Perfect!
i am def buying this exact setup before my roadtrip west next spring
Do you get any rub???
looks good, does the new tires hurt you gas mileage?
Gives that Subaru some attitude! 👊

Looks badass how it should come from the factory!!!

Hmmmm good to know. Would love to run those flaps.
any rubbing? did you level kit your CT?
Tpms sensor used for your setup?
Rafael Mancera I swapped the factory TPMS over from the stock wheels
That’s a sick set up . Just got mine but with bronze wheels on white 2018 crosstrek
Love the look. Is the color of your Crosstrek black? Or Magnetite Gray Metallic?
So is there any way that you could do a weight comparison between the stock wheels and tires and the new. Or does anyone know that?
Does anyone have an update if this wheel/tire combination works with the 2019 w/ Limited trim (18 OEM)?
o4sistrader yes
Yes
your tpms will still be off.
The Yellow Cursor move the sensors to the new wheels 🤦🏽♂️
Mike Robinson will it recalibrate to the new size?
It looks so nice man, would this work for a 2012 rav4? And how much did you spend on the whole set up?
Looks really good. Sweet!
I think someone else asked about where you got the forest graphic? Looks nice!
Amazon!
Hi, thanks for your video. Is it just removing one tire and putting the other on? or do you need to change the suspension or other items? Thanks a lot!
Just a simple tire and wheel change. Nothing was done to the suspension. Thanks!
Nice set up! I got a 2016 crosstrek and im about to do the same setup just slightly different rims amd tires. What part of of Arkansas do you live in? Just curious?
Cool! I'm in the Bentonville area
What is the specific rim size? I know the tires are 215/75/R15. Thanks so much in advance!
im looking at getting the same wheals and tires rn just wondering if you got a lift for them or not
Looks great! I was thinking about the same setup. Which tpms units did you buy for the wheels since you said the stocks didn't fit?
I'm actually not sure. My local Sam's Club installed the correct ones that fit. They never specified which ones they were.
Hi!did yiu put anything on the center of the rims so that the old centercap would fit?
Hey buddy Did you lift it?? Wen you make a u turn or something else doesn't rubbers sorry my german language 😏🤠
Nope, there's no lift on it at all. The tires don't rub at all because they aren't any bigger than the stock tires. Just a smaller rim size.
@@ArkansasOffroad thanks boss I just bought them today for 400 dlls what did you think the price??

Zero problems whatsoever! At most, lost 1 mpg. But there was hardly a difference at all. Road noise is louder, but very slightly. Nothing obnoxious.
The Method website said that the "wheels will not clear the factory installed Subaru STI brakes." Any issues with the crosstrek brakes?
Nope, not at all. I know the STI brakes are much larger so they probably interfere with the rim.
which TPMS did you have installed? I've had problems finding ones that work with my 2018 Crosstrek other than the factory ones
Where did you get the subaru sticker on the door?

Yes it still happens, but not as much as if the mud flaps were off.
Can't wait to do this to my Trek. Got a link for the TPMS? Yours is the first vid I've seen confirming the stock ones wouldn't fit.
My local tire shop actually had them in stock, so we didn't order them ourselves. Sorry I couldn't help.

Clears just fine.
@@ArkansasOffroad thanks brotha
In Australia they say 15inch rims won't fit my XV. I can't get KO 2s for my standard 17inch rims. Not fair
No way! That sucks. I know 15's won't fit foresters because the brakes are too big, but I had no problems with the crosstrek.
Right choice on center caps

Lol haha never got that before!
And yes I think they should fit.
with the tire size difference. does the mpg gage read different then the true mpg?
Do your tire pressure gauges still work correctly after this install?
Had to get new TPMS sensors. The stock ones did not fit the new wheels.
My tire pressure gauges do not work after. What kind of sensor did they fit you with? Since stock sensors didn’t work?
Hi, how's the performance on the wet? Is it grippy enough? Thx
They're decent in the wet. Snow and rain are the downfalls of these tires. Everything else is great.
@@ArkansasOffroad Hi, thx for reply. Which all terrain tyre do u think the best on wet yea? Thx alot!

Is the car lifted? Does it rub the wheel well?
How's the gas mileage with those wheels for daily? I'm on the edge right now on getting those.

what sticker is that on the doors??
What offset is that, +15 or +30, Im buying my MR502 right now and it asks which one I want
Hmmm I'm not sure. Mine never gave me an option. I bought them off of Amazon. The link should be in the description still.
How much more clearance does this wheel and tire pack give you ?
It's the exact same. Tires are same size as stock, just a smaller rim. Went from 17's to 15's
Does this setup work for 2015 Crosstrek Premium with stock suspension. Thanks
I believe so. We didn't touch our suspension at all.

Will this fit on a 2019 subaru crosstrek premium trim?

Hardly any difference. At most I think we lost 1 mpg.
What is the size of the tires for these wheels?
What offset did you get? 5x100?
