I know, nowadays a million views on YT are insignificant - but in view of the fact that I am nothing but a tiny musician with little knowledge, this made and still makes me very proud. I also know that Kurt himself didn't really like SLTS but it was fun to play and I think that is what really matters. It's sad RUclips won't allow me to put a track of much better audio quality to this and I apologize for the clumsy playing and poor sound quality - but please keep in mind that I was 15 years old when I made this and didn't have the playing and recording experience and equipment that I have today. I really appreciate that and can't believe what I see here. You are the best! You have to keep in mind that I am only a little petty fellow from Germany. We live in the year 2015 and my playing and singing is still middle-rate. But when I read comments like "we hear this cover in English lessons" or "I want to have this played at my funeral" or "I will have this played on my wedding", what else is there for me to do but sigh in a rush of pride and happiness... The thought that my cover is played on wedding walk downs from all around the world... it's just unbelievable. Please, feel free to use the cover in any kind of experience! Play it on your wedding, funeral, birthday, party, lessons or whatever you like. I am very happy with it and feel honored. Hey it's me from five years ago. I either commented on this video or on the one from the guy who just reuploaded it without giving you credit and then realized it was yours and commented about that. Anyways, I personally like the simplicity of this cover. It really shows just how emotional the melody of Smells Like Teen Spirit really is, which one wouldn't easily realize when presented in the context of a rock song, i.e. the original song. This is perhaps the best rendition of the song I've ever heard besides the violin one from "Montage of Heck" and of course the original. I'd like to hear a version of this song featuring a 3-piece rock band accompanied by an entire orchestra; the David Garrett cover is pretty close but I feel that the guitar parts weren't implemented as well as they could be, plus they shortened it and played it in E instead of F. I got off on a bit of a tangent there... sorry.

You say it's noobish, but I don't agree. I think it is simple, in a beautiful way. It captures the essential of Kurt Cobain's spirit. It's sad and bright at the same time. I think it traduces this quote about KC: a beautiful soul in a hard world. From a piano teacher, good job :)

i decided to learn to play the guitar when i fist heard "all apologies" kurt was such a brilliant musician. you know that when someone can take his music and play it using a different arrangement of musical instruments he had to be a musical genius.

This version is remarkable. It brings out (without all that noise and distortion) the undoubtable craft and talent Kurt had as a songwriter.
I remember listening 1000 times a day to this piece back in 2008, 9 years later it's still the most beautiful piano playing ever.
