Awesome video, ite helped me make the work on my car very easy. I did want to note that the bolt needed for the new alarm siren module was M8 x1.25 ($2 at lowes). Also noted that the new siren sounds quieter when locking and unlocking vehicle than before.
You are my super-hero. My car randomly started flashing warning lights, no sound, but the interior light was switched on misteriously. It is the first time I see it. I think it's time to check the siren circuits too.
Thanks for video didn't realize the siren it's self goes bad like that. I had issue with lights turning on and no siren sound when someone broke my window in CLK
Great video. I followed the steps to the T but what happens if after you replace it and it's doing the same thing? I replaced mine but it did not fix the problem.
Is there a “midsection” jack points for a 2004 Mercedes-Benz SL500 so I can use the floor jack to raise up entire front to slide in both jack stands? Thanks in advance.
Excellent job on the video. I am currently having alarm siren go off randomly on my 2004 MB SL500. Does anyone knows where the midsection Jack points for the front and the rear to slide the floor jack under on my car so I can raise it up to place both jack stands?
This solves my issue thank you!!!! I did have a question though. Since I can't get it fixed in the next couple weeks could i remove a certain fuse instead of dealing with the horrible alarm going off randomly?
Yes Fuse #8 on the rear box but it will also turn off the amp for remote, basically you wont be able to lock/unlock your car unless ur right by the door and forget about the trunk
Here is an idea, what is the fuel consumption of the car with normal city /highway driving? It is interesting, especially for the fuel saving Europeans. Lovely editing as always!!
I changed the batteries, but one day while I was waiting for them to show up in the snail mail, I bumped the small bucket of part that it was in. The circuit board fell to the floor. It may be ruined now, because when I lock it with the key FOB, it chirps for a while. I read someone that had the chirping after locking it, was water in the siren. So maybe when it fell, it messed up one of those small electroc pieces on the board.
is this the same device that makes the beep beep beep when you lock the car? is there a way to disable the lock and unlock beeps or just the siren as a whole? thanks
thanks for the reply, it absolutely HAS to be done with star? there's no quick method like using the key to change whether just the drivers door unlocks or every door?
Very informative. On the 2003 W211 , E320 would it be on the back passenger side and is it possible to disconnect the wires without opening the alarm box? Does it also help with the Battery Drain? Does Alarm only works when the car is locked? Thank you so much. It would help a lot of People like me who have seen hundreds of videos on MB Battery Drain and this may be the only solution I can think of.
I have the same problem with my 06 s500 w220 chassis with the lights inside and out flashing unless I disconnect the battery and I looked in the fender well but it's not there any help on how to fix my lights from constantly flashing would be great help
My car does the same I replaced mine already but it’s worse now it goes off when I lock it or unlock it after a couple times of locking it waiting tell doesn’t make noise to know it’s stopped
Update, I took the part out and we used electric tape to seal it and keep the wire there in that box thing. I may be taking some risk but I’ll just buy apple air tags as they can be put in ur car and even track it
@@LiamHicksRealEstateI removed my siren as well and did NOT put a replacement in, however it seems like I am getting some extra draw from my battery. Have you had any battery issues since removal?
Canada represent! Nice content, you have great video's. I started a channel with E55 content as well, on a MUCH lower level then you, in every regard... haha. Check it out if you'd like.

Thank you! Everyone just says M8 but not the pitch!

About to tackle this job today
Nice work. It's information like this that keeps these things out of the shop and on the road!
Thanks for having all the same problems I do in my 2004
Great video . Good information . Thank you Canadian friend .
Excellent Video, alarm installed, thank you kindly!
Thanks for video didn't realize the siren it's self goes bad like that. I had issue with lights turning on and no siren sound when someone broke my window in CLK

Nice work! Thanks for uploading it. Tom

Excellent video, now to sort mine out!
Would this be in the same location for a 2006 cls55 ?
Gud vide, Optest the siren @2:51 or so!

Did you have an issue where the new siren sounded very high tone and nothing like the original? How do you change that?
Mines does not have either of those 2 symptoms but if my alarm is on I just hear no noise. This siren is my problem I’m guessing?
if you don`t care about the alarm ..you can unplug the wire and it won`t drain your battery

@@jackiliev7047Just found out if the Siren goes bad the door locks doesn't work, and it affects your antenna.
Thanks
Very helpful!
Great video!
Thank you
I guess i have the siren (anti-theft) but I don't have the panic button on key... anyway to trigger it like you can do?

Pls more driving video :))

Yes, this is the same device that chirps while locking/unlocking the car. The noise can be disabled with Star Diagnostic.

Please upload a POV drive video of the E55 AMG

Where is the fuse for the siren?
Could I just take out the part and not put one back in? The part is $140+ USD.
Update, I took the part out and we used electric tape to seal it and keep the wire there in that box thing. I may be taking some risk but I’ll just buy apple air tags as they can be put in ur car and even track it
Also that was 2 hrs ago and my car is fine.
Also so there’s no confusion I didn’t put the part back in as honestly I find car alarms annoying and I’m taking a risk lol.
Also so people r not confused I didn’t put a new part in mine doesn’t have the part in now so the alarm will never go off

can anyone help me with this, it the drivers side in uk model RHD?
Hi, did you managed to find out if it is driver side or passenger side?
My key doesn't have a panic button 🤔

At least test the work after the job done.
