Here's a vocabulary list from the video: bit.ly/3I13m0y 📝 Hope you find it helpful. Thank you for studying with us!😊
I like how Korean simply adapts foreign words phonetically as best as they fit within Hangul. The only problem I see about that is for the native speakers, as they end up getting used to the loan word version and relearning how to pronounce it properly when studying the source language can be a struggle (this applies to every culture that does the same, not only South Korea).
I have found some good time to open and study my first book of your set. The audio accompaniment is great bc Both of you Don’t pronounce everything Exactly the same way so I see the differences are Both correct! Thank you. Great quality Hangeul book!
it is interesting how the similar ending sounds in english will use either ㅈ or ㅅ or ㅊ guess its one of those things we'll have to just learn one by one on words we grow to use commonly
This was helpful in a way where you hear the sound of how u say hangul bc it’s like talking in a singing pattern of the words
Thank you 😊
Its so fun to learn 🇰🇷
did i know all these words? yes did i need to review? no did i watch the whole video? yes
😄😄
Shouldn’t this video really be titled “240 Easy Korean Words Borrowed from English,” since, well, all the words come from English? (Yeah, I know that _ballet_ is originally French and _sauna_ is originally from Finnish and _orangutang_ comes from Malay but they’re all standard words in English and I’d be very surprised if Korean didn’t get them via that route.)
That’s humorous. I was thinking the same thing 😊
Yeah i was thinking they should've included 알바/아르바이트 from German arbeit or 빵 from Portuguese pão or 망토 from French manteau
@@erikjohansson2703 _At least!_ (if they’re going to refer to “other languages”).
I was expecting at least a few Chinese or Japanese originating words.....oh well.
Robot - is czech word, Domino is not english also
more like 240 loan words from English
Yeah basically but the word robot comes from czech.

Watch Go Billie's Channel no money needed.
I don't really like the amount of loanwords from English and other western languages, especially how "trendy" they become. Maybe I'm just salty after one time when a Korean made fun of me for not knowing the word "skinship", as though it's a word all English speakers should know lol
It used to bother me too until I realized English is probably the worst about borrowing words.
If they're borrowed, shouldn't they be returned?
Honestly it was stolen
이 수입 정말 나에게 한국어를 배우겠습게 도와줄게 ,정말 감사합니다 선생님.
Thanks for the useful video!
marshmallow and mannequin, looks like PT-BR for some reason, at least for me
🫶✅️🏆 Good job 👏
사랑합니다 ❤🫰
Haha the excuses are hilarious 😂
다 영어인데요.
Yeah, most of them are borrowed from English
I'll say something controversial here: the chief authorities on South Korean language should follow the North Korean example and create Korean words to replace loanwords from English. The reasoning is that English phonology is so incompatible with Korean that it makes these loanwords stick out, Korean learners of English learn improper pronunciation that later confuses them, and these loanwords can confuse some learners of Korean.
Hahaha as if you suggest you should study more words
