The bimini/sunshade section of the cover slides into a track at the top. The rest of it zips into that and is fastened at the bottom with poppers and straps
For UK ownership, I would say that if a boat is not registered, you would simply change the name. If UK Registration exists, you would apply to the MCA Registry to change the name at the same time you change the ownership record. (Other countries registration process may differ and advise should always be taken when making any change)

You can change the name of your boat at anytime, doesn’t matter how you buy it, the name is never permanent.
