Adobe Standalone flash Player. Flash dying is only for browsers. Has no bearing on your actual PC itself. Also websites will implement Flash alternative emulators. Something around so long and loved by so many doesn't just go away that easily.

Don't quote me but given Tom Fulp and a few other NG icons are there, I think Randy the guard from that Zelda flash game might be a reference to the late Randy Solem, who was a big flash animator back in the day. Hope he's working with Flash up there, rest his soul.

I find it funny that he managed to keep making the correct choices on the first try because he expects them to be fails on how stupid they are.
But he doesn't know how Henry operates because he's never played the fucking games somehow so he actually progresses.
My first was Escaping Prison and I remember playing it so many times. I logged in stickpage everyday to check for new Henry games. I still remember the pure happiness when I saw Stealing the Diamond.

EDIT: It's also worth noting that the Embros are way more popular in Japan, where there is a high demand for them. Less so in the US, obviously, but they still have their fans. But we have almost every main protagonist available now, so hopefully we don't have to worry about any more of them showing up.
@@OtakuUnitedStudio My least favorite part about the Fire Emblem characters is that a lot of them seem to be added just to promote the new games. The one that’s the best example of this is Corrin, where it was explicitly stated that they were added in for that reason.
I forgot Epic Battle Fantasy originated from Flash. Back when they could be even more shameless with their references
They're all Flash. The newest one even needs either an old install of Flash Player or a third party solution to play in-browser.
I had a Flash unit in each of my required, high school computer courses. It was a surprising opportunity to develop computer skills and explore media development. It was fun and everyone got to express themselves creatively.
I really hope Vinny returns to the Henry Stickmin series in the future.

Seeing epic battle fantasy just unlocked a core memory, never thought I was going to see vinny play it. The creator still makes the games and the most recent one came out not to long ago it is ridiculously good for a game made by one person, definitely one of the best turn based RPGs.
Hell yeah they are. But the music in 2 through 5 was made by Phyrnna, so it's technically a two person team
the smash flash 2 devs are making indie smash bros and it looks really good. it's got characters like commander video, you should check in out on kickstarter

There’s an exceptional flash RPG called Mardek that I’d love for Vinny to check out. (It’s also on Steam) It’s a good-natured send up of early turn based RPGs, and most of the humor holds up well. Easily like 40 hours of gameplay in it too. Made by one guy. Unfortunately it was never finished.

Epic Battle Fantasy was my favourite flash game and I think that Vinny should play more of that.
He should at least try 3. It's the first one that's a full RPG but it's not nearly as long or complicated as 4 or 5.

Basically what happened was they just met at a con and talked about the old Newgrounds days for a bit. It was more weird for Vin, because he looked up to Tom as a younger chap and never thought they'd actually meet up face to face. I cut it from this video, because I worried it'd make the video too long and not be too interesting for most folks.

That first game was locked in like a dark corner of my mind. I somehow remember it despite playing it when I was like in second grade.
Oh my god, The Lampshade of No Real Significance was a flash game I've been trying to find again for years, I played it back when I was like, 7 or 8 or something, before I even hit double digits in age for sure. I've only remembered the game fondly and although I never progressed very far cause I was a dumb bebe, I loved the music and have remembered it from that since I discovered it

Because the last time I updated Flash was in October, I still get "Update Flash!" notifications and when I click them it leads to Flash's end of life page so I cannot stop them from appearing on startup.

I will have very fond memories of playing Learn To Fly, Super Mario 63, William and Sly, The Powder Game, Achievement Unlocked and Duck Life.. just to name a few. rest in piece flash.
Oh man, Zelda and the Lampshade of No Real Significance brought back so many memories. I never got many of those references as a kid, but I definitely laughed at the ending, being very into Animal Crossing Wild World at the time. (Feng Shui is a very large mechanic in Wild World, moreso than any other AC)
