Great tutorial man! I just got mine and was wondering if when having headphones on, should the master sound come through them, when the master is switched off as that's what happens with mine? Also, when I have my volume all the way down on both channels and have the headphone cue'd, it still plays through the speakers and is so annoying
I just bought my Hercules Inpulse 300 today! It's my 50th birthday gift to myself. I've been wanting to learn to mix basically since house music became popular back in the 80's- I know I'm getting a Denon DJ Prime 4+ for Christmas & I didn't want to be overwhelmed by such a beast of a board...What you did dropping that beat gave me chills!! I purchased the Inpulse 300 because it's sold as a learning controllerfor us newbies. I love the way you describe what you are doing as you do it, you got another subscriber- I look forward to the moment when I drop my first sick beat.
I just got one off Ebay for £100, I'm not sure how much they are normally but I got a bargain, it's in mint condition. I'm just getting back to mixing again as I haven't done any mixing/beat matching since the late 90's.
@@mikethemusicman1978 I'm just watching all of the tutorials I can to learn the basics. I had a friend of mine tell me to "Quit studying and just get in it!" I've set up an old computer to be my 'studio' dedicated to music only. Since you have some experience I'd be happy to hear your thoughts on how/where to start. I have a ton of music (200+GB) to chose from (I know I can't upload any of my mixes to youtube 'cause of copyright laws) I was going to join a DJ pool so I can have access to royalty free music. I know the Hercules has it's proprietary software Djuced, I was going to try Serato lite because other boards use it & I wanted to get familiar with it. Your thoughts?? Thanks in advance for your time.
I normally zoom out and align the tracks as I see where start of the drop is of both tracks, so at the moment the playing track aligns I start the new track
How do you get the drop timing right? Like what I mean is what do you do if you have two tracks with two drops of different length how do you get your timings right? Sorry I'm brand new to DJ'ing and just bought this controller.
You get the timing right by structure knowledge of the tracks & genre youre working with! I have plenty of other drop mixing tutorials! would reccomend to check those out!
