Got yourself a new follower. Thanks for the no BS advice. I’m trying to learn to edit but only have my iPhone camera which isn’t brilliant, so quality is poor. Will buy a proper camera in the months to come. Any tips or advice for someone trying to improve their edit skills other than consistantly producing new content and learning each week (currently watch RUclips videos to improve my adobe premier pro skills)

Love this! Can't wait to see more. Sadly, since i lost my job and updated that I'm unemployed i hardly get any tests anymore. And i barely qualified for any before that. :( i am a 29 yr old American in Portugal...i think my job experience/employment status/location and such has really taken a hit to my chances on tests. I made $100 for 5 tests, which was cool but one was a 30 minute live video call.

I haven’t finished the video but I like how the guy said he has made 24k in a year but said he would be happy if you made $100 in your first week. This seems realistic I did user testing years ago before it was more popular and still remember only making like $60 but it was worth it back then because I wasn’t doing anything anyway and I don’t remember taking that many on so they must of been paying higher. I remember qualifying was the most annoying thing because a lot of times you just didn’t qualify and it really cut into your hourly wage. I would just keep the tab open and it would bing when a test came in. I have heard the longer you do it the more tests you get which makes sense because why would they want to pay you if they don’t know if you’re any good. I am looking forward to see how do by the end of the week! Thanks for the video!

So this is a small segment of my day job. And I’m actually doing this since it allows me to keep myself in a QA mindset and tune my analyst mind in a way. I agree it’s not a big moneymaker but it’s definitely a way to sharpen skills to translate to a full time QA/QE role. Definitely a resume builder with a little reward to it.

I recently joined and have only been accepted to 1 so far. I have been on for over 5 hours today with it open and have been denied to everything. The tests slowly trickle in. Hoping it picks up soon! Frustrating to not qualify on so many.

I make serious side bucks from usertesting. I have been on the platform for five years and have made thousands upon thousands. My rating is five stars. There are plenty of usability problems with the platform, itself, but depending on where you are and what you do for a living, you can make some money.

I am planning on getting started with business online, but worried about taxes. I'm in the UK, can you tell me how to pay tax, or have a link to a vid on how to pay, bc I know nothing about taxes at the moment? And also what amount of money do you have to start paying them
The best person to speak to would be an accountant. They’ll know the proper tax implications based on your business type and when you set it up.
I mean $100 bucks a week isn’t bad at all for a side hustle which only takes minutes of your day. Great video!

It is hard to make that much per week. While they say age doesn’t factor in to what you qualify for, I think it does.
Before the system they have now I would make it easily but it is getting harder

“UserTesting will allow customers that have signed the Minor Contributor Addendum to conduct Tests utilizing Minor Testing Contributors of any age in the United States, and between the ages of 16 and 17 if such individuals are located in Canada and the United Kingdom.”
You can do it but your parents have to create the account and be with you when you are doing a test.

It's definitely worth giving it a go, depends how old you are though as if you are a under a certain age you need a guardian with you

Side hustles for under 18s include, dog walking, mowing lawns, washing cars and online marketing. There’ll be other episodes in the side hustle series demonstrating these.
I agree that the amount of tests given are a bit bipolar but if you add in contributing factors like better reviews and going for longer tests then user testing sends you more tests more frequently I’ve done this for a couple months now and made over 8k so it’s a good ‘side hustle’ yet I think it’s very dependent on the user.

@@kenshinhimura926 apply for the longer tests and get user testing on as many devices as possible like i said its very dependent and also spend longer doing your answers and get better reviews go for the higher paying jobs and just be persistent it takes awhile to get going

I've been doing this for about 10 years I'd guess. It's an easy way to make a little 'play' money to use online, In that time I've made approx. $2500. I don't fit the general demographic so well, I steer clear of live conversations, I only have a 2 hour window, so I probably do an average of 2 tests a week. It works, but it's pretty narrow...

Yes it is. You just need a computer, webcam and that’s it
do i just look up user testing and click on a link or download it from a app store or where?
You can Google it and sign up on their website, they do also have an app you use to take tests as well.
Everytime I start the tests after a few questions it says "We do not approve you for this test" its been like this for like 14 tests. Do you know what the problem is?
Keep on applying for them. For every test I got accepted for there were 11 I didn’t.

One more question that I have. How is it possible that in the last 4 days after having the UserTest tab open for 12 hours every day, I have yet to get one test to complete? Money aside, which I don't really care about that much, I'm curious: is that a regular thing? From this video, you can see that you got at least one test in 4 days. I, on the other side, got 0.
Have you taken the practice test and are they still reviewing that? If you still don't have any in a few day contact them directly.
