    Great video. I'm currently setting up a small system in my shop. I'm just curious what filter you used. Also would love to see an update video after you've used it a bit.

      Thank you! I used the Oneida Mini Gorilla replacement filter. Had to buy a pipe cap separately from Home Depot to plug the clean out at the bottom.

      @@CanadaWood Very nice. Just the layout I've been looking for. So the Oneida filter comes with the threaded studs? And please provide more information about the pipe cap from Home Depot.

      @@jamesbutler4157 Hey James, Yes the oneida filter has the screw threads integrated into the assembly, comes with nuts to fasten. For the cap, if you look up "flexible pipe cap" on google or hardware store websites it should come up. Originally intended as a pumbing item but has worked well for me. Its black rubber and comes with a hose clamp to secure.

    How has it been working for you? I am considering a similar setup.

      I am glad I set it up. The filter I used has a silencer within which makes things quieter. It is also a hepa filter so you don’t see that cloud of dust kick up like you would on a typical cloth bag filter during startup not to mention the fine particles you are not seeing. The separator works well as long as you are maintaining the drum below the separator. I try to empty it when it reaches half full. I’ve noticed through the years with other commercial cyclone dust collectors that you need to have a certain amount of empty volume in the drum below for the separator to perform well. To sum it up quieter, healthier, fun to build, and looks cool (to me). Have fun!

    What is the make of your edgebander?

      The brand is Virutex. The specific model I picked up is the AG98R. At the time I ordered if you gave your email they offered you a discount. That promo didn’t show up for like an hour so hang tight on that if you do buy one. They didn’t retro the discount for me. I much prefer using this edge bander compared to an iron.

    Where did you find the dust port flange? What size are they?

    • @CanadaWood
      @CanadaWood  3 месяца назад

      The fitting size is 5” which is dictated by the fan box exhaust opening. It might be different for you. I work in the commercial construction industry so I got it off the HVAC trade.
      Lee Valley, Oneida & Amazon all have flange fittings available or you can check out your local heating/cooling supplier.
