It's a really strange pad but I think that makes it interesting. I swapped from a Gamesense Radar to this one and was surprised that it didn't feel "very fast" like it was described and actually feels closer to a control/balanced pad in practical use aside from it's low dynamic friction. It also has a strange feeling where it's very smooth to the skin, but the pad feels textured on the mouse skates like a Hayate Otsu. I'm not really a fan of speed pads but this one is actually the first one I've liked since it keeps a moderate amount of static friction with a lower dynamic friction than balanced pads. It's similar to a worn in Hayate Otsu, just without the weird tugging feeling when stopping a motion. It doesn't have the slippery/inconsistent dynamic friction I've experienced on the Otsu either, it's very consistent at the moment.
Good to see some non-Artisan options for speed pads. Neptune, Ninja and infinity speed seem solid. I also saw Kurosun Samurai used in VCT by yay, have you gotten to try it? Curious since I don't think it's released
I would say its a bit slower than the infinity mice speed, most noticeable when switching directions. The hien has more control due to the texture but also better feeling speed imo
Just received the Standard 100cm x 50 cm Neptune and am lukewarm about it. I really like the speed of the pad and I feel better at gaming with it but I somewhat don't really like the feeling of the surface on the skin. Also the standard version feels kinda cheap compared to the standard Venus, Saturn and Mercury that I ordered last year (because the Neptune is 3mm instead of 4mm). I should probably have gone with the Pro.
Hey Boardzy, with these non raiden pads like this and the gamesense LiDAR how does the Neptune compare to the lidar other than the lidar being a much smoother pad? Have a great day man I got on my work break and instantly tuned in.
Hey boardzy two quick questions. When you talk about artisan zero pads do you talk about the classic or fx series and I have a bad habit of pressing down into the mouse pad hard when in a gun fight do you recommend soft, xsoft or mid thanks.
FX series. The only differences between that and the classic is lack of stitched edges on the classic tho. I would say soft or mid would be fine for you, Im personally not a fan of the zero mid
Hey boardzy quick question, I know that the mouse tier list is expected in a few days but I've been wondering if the best ~50$ wireless mouse for now is still the dragonfly f1, i cant get it from their website for 47$ shipped but the sale will only last for 1 more day so I need your opinion/thoughts. I'm coming from a G305 that started double clicking after 2 years. Thanks a lot
@@boardzy yeah i was just wondering because i accidently ordered a mid hien but have venus pro, i like both but no sure which would be better, i mainly play siege and valorant, might try a hayate otsy
@@boardzy I believe it. I cancelled my zero order for it, after i saw the new lineup. Was afraid it be too fast aswell. Been maining g-sr(2) and sometimes qck heavy for years. Super excited for type99 and to experience the Artisan quality for the first time. Even tho its probably some months away from a release. Excited for your review of it aswell :D
Does anyone have and recomandations for mice i have large hands and use palm. Currently i use the logitech g pro mouse but my fucking hand gets cramps all the time please help me out.

Spot on description imo. Nice that you enjoy it
I've seen this point raised on reddit and the LGG rep said that it'll take some time to wear in and have the speedy feel that they were going for.
you just described lamzu energon in some way
how does the Neptune compare to the Saturn?
I'm wait for the Neptune pro. I just bought a SkyPad to see if there is any difference between different brands of glass.
and is there one?
Yh I have a skypad love it had it for over a year now
Speed pads with xsoft or soft base is just boring and useless af imo
@@Parkerszn7how often do you change your mouse skates ?

If thats a new kurosun pad I dont think I've tried it. Wasnt a huge fan of the previous pad
@@boardzy Ah I see, yeah the Ninja was a bit too slick for me, I hope this a different surface with more control
lamzu energon is fire too
Does this feel faster than the non-pro lamzu energon by any chance? could be shocking switch for me
How much slower is this pad compared to the infinity mice speed/ faster than the hien?
I would say its a bit slower than the infinity mice speed, most noticeable when switching directions. The hien has more control due to the texture but also better feeling speed imo
What’s the best budget mousepad now
leather hermes mousepad
LGG has some xraypads and under stuff legit under $15. If ur outside the US idrk

Yo! What is the difference between Neptune and Neptune Pro? which one is better?
Man as a Canadian mousepads simply don't exist. So impossible to get a hold of ANYTHING good looking without paying 3x retail price.

Hi boardzy are you making a review on the AC Pro mid?
I already covered it in a roundup at the end of 2023. There isnt any more depth I can go into
I saw that thank you and does it get your seal of approval? Based?
Could this replace my endgame gear mpc1200? I enjoy the speed of it, but sometimes it's a bit uncontrolled when I have to stay on target for longer.
When are you going to try a Soku pad, the Kaizen is very goated
Literally have the same thoughts as you do on this, great review brotha! And also you can wipe the pad with a microfiber cloth ez pz
Are you gonna review the Ninjutso Sora V2?
My Hien is worn out at this point. What pad would you recommend that is comparable to the Hien? Or is there nothing like it atm?
Xraypad aqua control pro neon - kinda better hien. Closest hien clone.
Is it a huge upgrade from Saturn / Saturn Pro?
What was the thick orange-base pad?
Is the ninja pad ever gonna come back lol
Any thoughts about x-ray pad equate plus v2?
which mousepads do you recommend for apex legends? skypad? superglide pad? any of the artisan? lgg?
I personally would recommend the fnatic dash, it is really good and cheap, it give speed and control in my opinion, I play apex.
i immediately heard it wasnt a Raiden clone and stopped caring, still watched all the way though

Hey boardzy, can we expect a review of the Boog 75 soon?
This reminds me of Strider. Same speed/characteristics but less abrasive
