Flight Review: Air Mauritius Airbus A350 Johannesburg To Mauritius

We decided to produce a review on this flight as it represented a number of firsts for not only our flight reviewer, but also for the Long Haul channel. It’s our first visit to Mauritius, and thus our first flight with Air Mauritius. It’s also our reviewer’s first flight aboard an A350-900 and the first A350 flight review we’ll have on the channel. And, for those traveling, it’s the first international trip after the pandemic.

I've just flew Air Mauritius from London Gatwick to Mauritius on their Airbus A350 and wow I was impressed. Great entertainment, food was pretty good, cabin crew were soo friendly and professional and the aircraft was in a good state, I couldn't say 1 bad thing about my experience with them, im definitely flying with them again! 😊🇲🇺

I am not a big fan of this video layout, although i love watching flight reviews and watch it regularly, this one just seems off due to many small factors.

@@thompson37 So like this doesnt feel like we are also there with the person experiencing the flight. This seems to be based around more formality than experience. Like if u watch simply aviation tripreports, there is no one speaking, but it still feels like we are there with the person

@@thompson37 I hope this makes sense, but also at thew same time - I think simple flying is a bit more journalistic, and can’t openly criticise aviation giants, which is understandable

@@shauryakhetan3196 Simply Aviation does speak in Brutally Honest episodes but I get what you mean, the video is mainly about the airport not about the journey and the review is all over the place, one minute they are boarding the flight, the next they are at security.

Flew here from Doha with Qatar Airways and was very impressed with Mauritius.
Standard of the infrastructure roads etc was a surprise. Lovely place to visit and the flight was fantastic.

Viewing this very helpful review, late, as part of my holiday planning. The airline's online reviews are patchy. I've used the Mauritius airport before and was very impressed by it. The island? Beautiful.
P.S. 17 kg/week works for me too.

Isn't it sad that a review of Air Mauritius was done by long haul Simple flying, with no mention of the day the airline was established and number of different aircrafts Air Mauritius has in their fleet to date. What about other several destinations Air Mauritius currently fly to? This air review as far as i am concerned is incomplete 😕.

I've already travel by AIR Mauritius but it was horrible .
The food was super cold . For me Air Mauritius is a 0 star plane .
