Incredible, incredible. Sara I love you, just watched her encourage a young boy with cancer during a concert. Just watched a video with Cyndi Lauper to raise money for children with cancer, then watched this video of Sara giving of herself to help others in Japan. I LOVE you soooo much. Will be at your concert in Houston, November, 2019!

This was so moving, I got so emotional. Nothing is more powerful nor beautiful than to reach out our hands and our hearts to other people who are going through a hard time. Compassion is what its all about, if you have it and shared it with another human, that's what being alive really is all about.

Sara and her band were absolute rockstars in Ofunato. From the first day, they jumped right into what ever work they could do and they didn't stop. They showed a tremendous amount of passion and compassion for so many they had never met before. All of the volunteers, myself included, were moved by their commitment to helping in anyway they could. Thank you for making this world a more loving place.

I am very pleased to find out you have volunteered also. I did as well. When I was over there, four months after the tsunami, houses were still soaking in water that had still not receded to the ocean, mountains of cars, and garbage in trees. It will be two years since the disaster in six days. I hope everyone has recovered.

I definitely know the emotional drainage that comes from doing such kind of volunteer work. I was in New Orleans doing the same thing for 2 weeks, 8 months after Katrina in 2006. I had many profound experiences while there, took photos between gutting work. The minute you saw them trucks with teams of people wearing them white hazmat suits, you knew those weren’t the guys that came in to shut off gas and electricity to the damaged and abandoned homes. They were there because they got called in about the discovery of bodies of both animals and humans in some of those homes. They were still digging out dead animals and people from a lot of those homes 8 freakin months after that hurricane.
